What's so crazy is I talked to my grandmother about 2 months ago. Dolton sent her a water bill for $2000 and told her she had to pay or get disconnected. She pays all her bills on time she went back and forth with them for a month and they finally said they read her meter wrong and her bill was much lower. I think this is her first term, but I am not sure. It should most assuredly be her last term based upon the news reports showing her misdeeds. It sounds to me like an independent investigation needs to be conducted without her interference. If that demonstrates no wrong doing then she is vindicated. If she has done nothing wrong, then she has nothing to hide and should be happy to allow properly trained accountants to look at the financial records. Based upon the actions in the news report, she is going to jail for fraud, embezzlement and probably several other things. Of course this is Chicago so probably nothing gets done about it....

I think this is her first term, but I am not sure. It should most assuredly be her last term based upon the news reports showing her misdeeds. It sounds to me like an independent investigation needs to be conducted without her interference. If that demonstrates no wrong doing then she is vindicated. If she has done nothing wrong, then she has nothing to hide and should be happy to allow properly trained accountants to look at the financial records. Based upon the actions in the news report, she is going to jail for fraud, embezzlement and probably several other things. Of course this is Chicago so probably nothing gets done about it....

What is it with the ego of black women when they get a little power position? I moved to a smaller city and was unfortunately entertained on the useless actions of a former black, female mayor. She wore insanely expensive everything, always wore very high heels, those things are uncomfortable, and she always paraded around with lots of armed security. This is a city where not much happens. Her predecessor, never had security present. He drove his own car everywhere he went. We now have another black female mayor, who doesn't seem to know much of anything, but is fairly rude and arrogant. This city is so boring and uninterested, the president could be walking downtown and virtually no one would notice or care, even if they voted for him.

41% of the residents are elderly or children, it's just a poor area looks like it. The young people probably leave for Chicago and the people who stay are just maintaining a family. Looks like the town just has the basic small town stuff: dollar stores, laundromat, chain restaurants and motels.
