It appears the lenses were not centered the same and they gave different looks. Also, various lenses have different reproduction rates. Some lenses at same focal length will show a reduced image depending on brand and year of production. Not sure what this video is pointing out. They are both great lenses. 24-120 is known as a videographers lens. The 14-30 is known as the landscapers lens. Their usage make them different, but no better than the other.
you have a keen eye. at one point I looked at the tripod and thought the ball head had drooped a little. wasn't entirely sure but I re-shot a couple of the comparisons. While the 24-120 is an essential lens, I find I'm shooting my studio segments almost entirely on the 14-30 now. Since making the video I believe the 14-30 is finding focus quicker when I move around in the frame. thanks for the comment!
@@folkartandcamera 14-30 does focus a bit faster. I own the lens as well. I actually returned my 24-120 and purchased the 24-70 S 2.8. All good lenses. I would buy the 24-120 refurbished by Nikon when they have them in stock. Your videos look great.
Love your videos, I would love to get that 24-120, but the hit you take on the 24-70 is a killer
yep, the retail on both lenses is nearly the same, but the 24-70 doesn't hold its value anywhere near. thanks for the comment!
Did you mean the 24-70mm f4 or f2.8?
@@Hrishi1970 the F4
