I'm watching this in 2019. Nade in 2011 I lost my father. In 2014 my mom turned 60 and I kinda did the same thing you did. She was looking for a new car and decided she wanted a chevy malibu. So we shopped around and figured out what color and model she wanted. We went to the dealership and she haggled and whatever and "signed" all the paperwork. Everything all said and done the salesman shook her hand and said have a nice day. She asked for the keys and he said they already sold that car they gotta order her another 1. She asked, "who bought the car I thought I did?" The salesman said, the gentleman sitting next to you bought it yesterday. Instantly I started crying but was able to say happy birthday mom. It was my proudest moment of becoming a man.

Theyre more than just cars. New cars probably lowered the cost of their insurance, no repairs for a long time, save tonnes on fuel costs. That spare money will soon add up and help them with other stuff. Nice work man youre a legend!

New cars really have no chance of breaking down in a few years so the insurance won’t have to worry about sending recovery vans, loaned cars etc which lowers the price and if they’ve a pretty clean driving record which for a cop is pretty required they’ll be have lower insurance too.

I have learnt in life that when the chips are down and you think you can sink no farther, that wealth, property and other material things mean little or nothing will never replace, that which the majority of us have, that's family and good friends. There are many people like this. It's just that most don't have 3.5 millions subscribers clicking on adverts which earn them money. Take away the 3.5 millions subscribers and he wouldn't have been able to afford to do it.
Some people have the money to do such a thing, some people don't. The desire and intention in both people are the same however.

It's the same with Allah and all the rest of the so called 'gods'. Fact is, we humans aren't advanced enough for religion as it just becomes another reason to fight.
What really need are just simple straight forward human beings who think before they act and consider the consequences.
You don't need religion or gods created by man for that; a bit of empathy and humility suffices.
If that's true, that would make this world we live in merely a stop-gap... A world in-between and thus logically, of no real use. While suicide is apparently a 'sin', murder isn't and so on that logic, you could hire a hitman to kill you and skip the pleasantries... Boom, you're in heaven... "Saved".
Yet you don't... You keep on living and consuming and adding to all the death and corruption around you, as do we all.
Also, keep in mind, if God exists, he likely doesn't like you. He likely doesn't like any of us... Why this I say?
Well, I've discovered in 35 years that more often than not, a parent will die for a child. They will protect their child. They won't allow their children to just run around with scissors. They do this out of love. From that love comes longing. With that longing we naturally do what we can to preserve our loved ones.
Now, by all accounts we are created in God's image. Supposed to be just like him.
Yet why doesn't he stop his children fighting? Where is his uncontrollable urge to stop us hurting ourselves..? The same uncontrollable urge any loving parent feels?

Doesn't mean a 'God', a 'creator', doesn't exist of course. I'm not arguing that. I'm agnostic. My belief is that if their is a god, he/she/it is so far beyond our understanding, we'd never know about it.
In both cases though, the supposed books of 'God'... The bible.... The Quran... etc etc... Simple books. Fabrications. Written by man as a way to control other men... To keep the fearful in their place.
But, in this world, we have reality. We have cause and effect. We have science and physics and we have peer-reviewed data so before you carry on with the Jesus and/or God business, I request you provide evidence of their existence.

Beautiful video. But I have to say I was much more moved by the brother's reaction to his present than the sister's reaction. His brother was shaking, had a genuine emotional reaction, gave his brother a well deserved hug and had tears. Genuinely grateful. The sister? Just repeatedly with the "shut the front door", no hug, no kiss on the cheek, etc. And her husband seemed like he was equally unappreciative. Neither one of them gave the brother a hug or even a handshake. He should have just shown the brother getting his car. The sister's reaction was a total letdown.

Ya know, I was sitting here wishing I could do something like this. Then it dawned on me. My husband and I used our savings to build my parents a small house in our backyard. We took care of them till they passed away. Best thing we've ever done. And with the help of a friend who was a contractor to built it, we, along with friends and family members, finished it out. I love these feel good videos, even if they did make me tear up.
