I wasn't aware of this woman in the Bible. Thank you for this short story.
She was the 2nd wife according to scripture Abigail of Carmel 1 Samuel 25:39-42.
The 3rd wife was Ahinoam of Jezreel 1 Samuel 25:43. However, it seems King David married her immediately after.
Their VALID reasons why people would assume Abigail was the third wife:
1.Wife Inheritance: Widows were normally inherited by members of the husband's family for financial help. It was not common for a wealthy man, let alone a future King to marry a widow. That's why Abigail's story is truly touching and inspirational.
2. Ahinoam of Jezreel was normally mentioned first in other scriptural passages, maybe for numerous reasons. But the most notable is the latter was the mother of the King's 1st Born-son Amnon.
