Great emotional reaction. Dimash and Gong Lina did a great duet. Yes, the backstory of a young girl who suffers a rare illness, but persevered to become a poet. In the chorus, the phrase “Yon Li Hu Xi” means putting extra effort to breathe. The young girl has to use ventilator in order to breathe and live on. Each breath she takes is a flight for survival. We breathe without thinking, but for her is not something automatic. Yes, the rap part was unexpected, but Gong captured the emotion of the struggle. Dimash’s high note almost sounded like the desperate cry of the young girl. Yes, it hit you deep inside.

"Become a poet" is written about a girl named Jenny Bao who was born with rare disease spinal atrophy. Only one finger of her body can move. Doctors said she could only live till 4 years old but now she is over 20. Writing poems made her alive. The poem on the screen at end of this song was narrated by Jenny herself by wearing ventilator. The poet she recited is translated as below,

She wrote poems as a means to survive and communicate and published her poetry book that Gong bought, leading her to sing about these poems. If I remember the backstory correctly, which is also in a video from this show, Gong told Dimash about her, mentioning how much she loved his Story of One Sky, how important this young poet's story was to her and that wanted to share it with their performance. This song won that week's performance. The voice reciting the lyrics was the young girl with the disease. In the backstory clips, that girl sent a video to Gong that she shared with Dimash thanking them. Beautiful and touching moments.... beautifully touching, and heartfelt song. ❤ Thank you. 😊

Great emotional reaction. Dimash and Gong Lina did a great duet. Yes, the backstory of a young girl who suffers a rare illness, but persevered to become a poet. In the chorus, the phrase “Yon Li Hu Xi” means putting extra effort to breathe. The young girl has to use ventilator in order to breathe and live on. Each breath she takes is a flight for survival. We breathe without thinking, but for her is not something automatic. Yes, the rap part was unexpected, but Gong captured the emotion of the struggle. Dimash’s high note almost sounded like the desperate cry of the young girl. Yes, it hit you deep inside.

That is Tengri. Dimash did a duet with him and he does an incredible song 'Heaven' on 'the Singer'. Dimash has several other duets recently from China that are wonderful and also he had 2 concerts back to back in Kazakhstan where he sang a new mind boggling song that I can not wait to see the official release and possibly music video.
