    You may want to mention the lock is not to be used while in transport because it will cause abrasions to the paint. Additionally, I don’t understand what’s going on with the fender. Was the clamp supposed to go over the fender. Doesn’t seem right. Please provide the install reference to that. Thank you for your video. Very informative!

      Thank you for your great comments.
      You are correct about the locking chain and you are right to question my comments about the rear fender.
      Reference the Owners Manual at the Official Web Site;
      rockymounts.com/content/51281_REV_C.pdf
      In the Owners Manual, under Locking Bikes, Picture 6 states; "Do Not Use While Traveling. Can Cause Damage To Frames Due To Road Vibrations."
      This is restated on the last page of the owners manual in the Warning Section at the eleventh of fourteen ellipsis.
      As far as the Rear Fenders are concerned,
      Owners Manual page one, Guidelines Section, fifth ellipsis, in Bold Print states; "Remove rear fenders, racks, and panniers before use."
      My rear fenders are plastic with a copper support plate underneath them, they flex enough for me to clamp the rear fender down onto the tire with the load arms. They are only attached to the bike with zip ties at the seat post and there are no support rods going from the rear fender to the frame.
      The zip ties keeps the fender in place so we do not return home with lines down our back if we go through a puddle.
      If left unsupported by the load arm, they would flutter around in the breeze and would be a road hazard if they flew off while in transport. This prevents 60-70 mph winds from flapping them around and possibly ripping them off of the bike when we hop on the Interstate to travel. Over time, I have found that this does not damage the rear fenders and the bike is supported well enough for high speed transport.

    Nice setup. My only concern is the mounting over the fenders of the bike. Long travel or bumpy roads, might damage fenders. Plus, I'd need a ramp up to the bike rack. My bike (beach cruiser) is to big and heavy. Lol

      I have had no problems. Now, my fenders are free floating and are not attached to the back wheel frame with a rod and can therefore be pressed against the tire.

    How is the antiwobble? Is there any vertical play?

      Actually there are no problems and I am very happy with this rack. We took the bikes for three eight hour trips and have had no issues at all.
