Qualita Pendergrass Thankfully, she is already very close and quite bonded with her dad! It will greatly help with the transition/adjustment. Hopefully he still does YT vids periodically (making as few changes as poss will also help greatly), and that they get to Skype/FT frequently.

I remember these days. I left my daughter when she was 4 months old. When I came back, she was almost 1 and walking😥😥. It was one of the hardest things I had to do.

This is why I didn't have kids when I was in the Army. But please believe I wasn't trying to leave my family either. You know what you sign up for, we all got someone to miss. Too many times I remember single soldiers got picked for shit, instead of those with families, that became bs too. Times I wanted to travel to go see my family I couldn't.
This has me in tears. She is going to miss so much precious time with her little super star. I pray for her and her family. God Bless you and thank you for sharing this. Its so humbling to see your sacrifice as a woman, mother, and human.

honeybfly1980 funny you say that because my girls were 3 yrs old when I had to deploy to Iraq and one of my girls have Cerebral Palsy so my Sergeant Major was trying to get me out of it but was told by the Dept of the Army "who needs her more you or the Army!" The Army does not care. This makes me so sad😩🙏🏽
