Great Videos! I’m considering switching to the new Volvo XC40 Pure Electric Single Motor (231 bhp) or the Audi Q4 e-tron 40. I assume the driving dynamics could be some how similar to this PHEV T4. What would you recommend? Keep up the great content! Subscribed!
Thanks for your positive feedback. Unfortunately i didn't drive the XC40 Pure Electric yet, so I can't give you advise. I would think the feeling in the interior would be quite similar in the Plug-in version than in the electric version, since it's the same model, but the driving dynamics would be a bit different. The battery is much more powerful so yet better accelerations and better overall performance. I also like the "one-pedal driving" in electric vehicles, so this would also be a big difference with the electric version. I also made a POV video about the Audi Q4 e-tron: th-cam.com/video/rd4BDNFdTq8/w-d-xo.html I hope to test the XC40 Pure Electric one day, so that i can give you a better answer
I had it for a week and yes it was powerful enough. Very nice car for daily driving. I also really liked the colour, because after a week of driving, also in the rain, it didn't look very dirty at all.
I don't know about hybrid mode, because it's a combination mode, but I made a video where I tested the pure electric range (Pure Mode) and there i got a pure electric range between 34 km and 45 km. Hi I will refer to T5 plugin and i guess the answer will be the same on T4 as well. Just hp will be deferent. If the battery is flat , zero 0 The 262hp become 180hp? i mean if the battery is dead then there's no electric motor to produce the extra hp , or this is not true , some people say that it will always produce 262 no matter what. I cannot find any answer on this. The only thing I found is the driving mode power that gives you the full power ? So the question is does the T5 plugin produce ALWAYS 262hp?
Yes indeed, the petrol engine gives 180 hp and the electric motor gives 82 hp. The electric motor is powered by the battery, so if the battery is at 0% you only have the power of the petrol engine (180hp).
