- In this video Shane and Scott talk about strategy when it comes to TIERING UP in dynasty fantasy football. A huge consideration is the format of the league, i.e. how shallow or deep it is, but league economy also comes into play. While tiering up from Tee Higgins or Devonta Smith to Garrett Wilson may not be the right move ON PAPER, your league economy may be such that you would then be able to take Garrett Wilson and package him for a QB upgrade. There are many variables and scenarios. Scott and Shane cover it all.

Dynasty Trades In 5 is a dynasty trade show that focuses on dynasty fantasy football trade strategy, rookie draft pick values, individual player profiles, etc. For each player we discuss whether or not they are a dynasty trade target for 2022 and 2023, and if we lean sell vs. buy. We also get in depth on the 2022 rookie draft class, the 2023 rookie draft class, and dynasty rookie pick values in general. We don't do dynasty mock drafts yet, but perhaps we will in the future! There are many great resources available to the community, whether it be articles, dynasty trade calculators, trade finders, etc. We try to focus on short form content that is digestible and relevant. Im trying to tier up to Chase in a 12 TM st 9 PPR W/keepers. I have AJB, Lamb, Waddle, Olave and Aiyuk at WR but can only start 4 on a weekly basis. I’ve got a bunch of RB2s on my roster as well as 1.02 1.06 and 1.11. So I think I’ve got that excess Shane was talking about. Think Waddle/RB2 or Olave/1.06 gets it done?
No, I don't think that is enough unfortunately.

Very league specific I traded Dj Moore & 1.07 NonSF Half Ppr For Tee Higgins and Im Very Happy About It
I’m struggling to tier up in my home league run i have tons of assets 5 23 1sts, 4 24 firsts and some 2nds in each year as well but I was the worst team last year in no small part to injuries but still last. Naturally in a 10 man league there’s a couple owners who have checked out in the offseason but the rest of them just want to hold and seem to not be willing to move elite assets rn. Will our rookie draft in August and the season starting in September force the issue?
It should but if the league just doesn't value picks you just make the picks

My WR corps (I can start up to 5+SF) is Kupp, Metcalf, Godwin, Diontae, Ridley, Meyers, Metchie, Shaheed, Michael Wilson + trash. Nobody seems interested in Godwin, Diontae, and Ridley.
With a WR room this deep, should I be trying to tier up or down from Metcalf? I have no 2024 1st or "extra assets" outside of WR and 2 2024 2nds but Im a strong contender. Not sure what move I should be making here.
It's .5 PPR, I'm guessing the Worp will show RBs will make your flexes more than WRs. Problem is you've built your entire WR room to fill flex spots. If you can pivot off any of your WR for an equivalent RB or draft picks I would consider it

Yeah, I try to focus on tiering up in ranges that matter. Elite QBs in a 14 TM SF matter

Someone is offering me a 2024 first for amari Cooper straight up what do u think 8 team dynasty ppr with two qb and super flex and I traded my 24 first for Lawrence so I have no picks.
I'm taking that, I can't imagine you ever get another offer that good again.
If you don't use picks to tier up, what do you use them for?
You can use them to tier up to gain a positional advantage. You can also use them to replace production when injuries happen

I’m now in a 10t st10 ppr 4pt pass td no tep league where I grabbed an orphan that had 1.01- so now I’ve got Fields, deshaun watson, breece hall, bijan, James cook, C watson, and QJ and nothing else of great value. Think I’d be at best middle of the road even if I tried to compete this year so I wanna push it one more year. Is dealing Bijan potentially my best move to gain more assets/longer term assets if I’m not going for it this year ? WR stacked team w Wilson and j Jeff is willing to talk to me ab deals for those 2 involving bijan

12 tm sf start 9 I have guys like DJ Moore & pollard but also those big names like Breece and Garrett. I guess my question is should I be trying to flip moore n pollard w an attached first (have 2 ‘24 1st) to get one of those bigger name guys like a CD/AMSB/AJ. Leagues pretty top heavy rn don’t know if the owners would be willing to move those guys. Have Fields&Stroud as well would love some any suggestions thanks!

Full PPR & 4 pt passing td and no TE premium didn’t mean to leave that out lol. RB room pretty solid Breece/Pollard/Pierce. WR room is eh with GW/DJ/QJ/Mooney (dj gettin traded to Chicago didn’t help lol) got Pickett n Levis as well but no one seems to want them including myself 😂😂

I noticed changing the league settings from 1 QB with Superflex, to "2 QB". It changed the WoRP Values drastically. I was considering most my league mates treat it as 2 QB so I was trying things out. Any thoughts?

@DynastyTradesIn5 thank you, I did see the stream. I don't have Twitter, unfortunately. I have the WoRP tool available to me and thought it was interesting that SF actually made QB value further separated from other positions than 2QB.
@DynastyTradesIn5 I think I figured it out. Superflex is Compairing the AVG of top 10 QB vs. replacement. 2 QB is comparing AVG of top 20 QB vs replacement. However both replacement level are the same because my QB 11-20 are in the SF spot.. 2QB might be a more accurate portrayal IMO. Thanks again

12 tm SF start 10 ppr, I have 7 1sts (2 guaranteed lottery picks), just accumulated them over time, tiering off of players, and trading players for 1sts. My starting 10 is QB: Hurts + Kyler RB:Dobbins + Perine WR: Hollywood, Pittman, Aiyuk, Mclaurin, dieontae, got myers on my bench TE:Engram. I need an alpha WR1 so far I've asked around the league for the top players, no ones willing to give up the alpha WR unless I overpay, should I overpay to get the WR1 for my team?

@@DynastyTradesIn5 I offered 3 1sts for Jefferson the guy responded “🤣”, with chase I offered 3 1sts, he said no because he wants to keep chase, aj brown I said 2 firsts and a early 2nd, same thing no, I guess the overpay is anything more than I offered in these deals. My brother and I are both really into dynasty, he told me don’t offer anything more, he said if you offer more than you did, might as well just trade those picks for a qb better than Kyler, or try to tier up with Kyler and go try to get burrow/Allen maybe mahomes. Btw how I got my picks were these,

As soon as I listened to the destination devy podcast and heard Scott talk about tiering off of players I did the trades, when Scott said about waddle having to much name value and the fact that this is probably the most valuable he’ll ever get I traded him. With the tier offs the main thing I look at was their average pts, waddle averaged 15.15 Pittman 13.75, so for roughly a point I get a 1st

@@dynastydrizzy Maybe im just higher on Waddle than most, he's my wr6 overall for dynasty. I think of it as trading a late first startup (Bijan) and a ninth round startup pick (Kendre) for a mid second (Waddle) and a mid fourth (Etienne). Feel like thats pretty good value.
