I lost my wife to breast cancer 5 1/2 years ago. Than, 2 years later lost my oldest son. As someone who was a worship leader I can relate to this song as if I'd written it. Helped me 'get through'. Today, I'm still 'getting through'. Thank you Jesus for your mercy, grace, and love.
Some hurts we carry, and we carry to the grave, just like Jesus bore the cross, and when you meet the Lord, you'll lay it down at the Shepherd's feet.
Hurt doesn't make you a bad Christian. Carrying hurt doesn't make you disobedient.
I lost my Dad suddenly, here one minute, gone the next, widow maker, but I accepted His Will. I don't know the plans. I can tell you with certainty, we're never ready to lose who we love.
My Dad explained to me once, he was in a lot of pain due to the MS, he'd dream, and as he dreamed, he saw heaven, he knew it was heaven, because the colors he saw, we're so strikingly vivid, and he tells me, it was His way of comforting my Dad, that through this pain he was being refined and molded, into what he was unsure of.
I do know; Pain is transitory. Dad met Jesus, he was wounded in Vietnam, he was crying out to the Lord, and a Covenant was made between the two, that he would never hurt that way again. While under for bypass surgery, he said he dreamed, in that dream, he was a child, he walked through rows of children bowed in prayer towards a dais, that a throne was on, sat upon the throne was a Man, and he crawled in His lap. My Dad was crying, he said they're hurting meand Jesus asked, "Did you forget the promise I made to you?" Dad said no.
Dad had double bypass surgery and after he woke from it, he drove the nurses nuts, because he refused to rest and instead was up walking every chance he got.
I'm so sorry for your loss, but I think I needed to pass this knowledge to you.
Praying for you. Jesus is close to the broken hearted. Keep the faith. Bless you

I've been having troubles with sin and wanting to be the best Christian I can be, but I felt so overwhelmed with everything I wanted to fix. So, when I couldnt take anymore a few nights ago, I literally cried out to God. I asked him to remove the burdens and the weights off of me and to forgive me and help me to move on. I wanted a clean slate. And God gave it to me. After I was done crying and raising my hands towards Heaven and kneeling before my lord, I felt the weight off me and the happiness and the closeness to God I've been longing for. I deleted something off my phone that's been distracting me from God. I know that it's not easy, but I'm actually taking the right steps I need to, to become my best self. I began reading my bible app again and am adding Worship music to my playlist. Hence me being here. This song just spoke out to me a lot and that's why I felt the need to write this.
Thank you very much for reading all this. May God bless you and bring you the very happiness I felt, when I thought I was too far gone. God told me to stand up and start making changes. I love my Lord!!!

I have surgery on the 14th of this month!! Just a few days... Please pray for me 🙏 I have severe endometriosis... Pray that they don't take both of my ovaries. I want babies someday... But I know that whatever happens, it is God's will and that I am BLESSED. Only HE knows the final plans for me and I trust my life in His PERFECT hands.
Edit: I had the surgery yesterday. The one I'd had before this showed holes all in my ovaries, they were black with endometriosis. When he went in to fix them today THEY WERE IN PERFECT HEALTH!!! I AM HEALED!!!!

I am currently going through a breakup, I ended a relationship with my first love who is in the world and I want to have a relationship with god, the holy spirit told me to distance myself from him for two weeks. I was feeling so broken and hurt today wondering what I did, but then I can across this beautiful song, "I don't trust my ways, i lay down everything" at the feet of Jesus. I am still in love with this person and it's so hard because I'm all that person has, but I'm just letting god have his way. Sometimes life is hard, but god has a purpose for our pain. I am reminded of a passage in Ezekiel where Ezekiel describes A River ( which symbolizes the blessings of God) . Ezekiel walks out 1000 cubits the water came up to his ankles . He waded out another 1000 cubits and it came up to his knees. He waded out another 1000 cubits and it came up to his waist. He waded out another 1000cubits and he was in water that was over his head . Each 1000 cubits describes the amount of trust believers put in the Holy Spirit and thus the amount of control we retain for ourselves. It is only when we launch out into the water that is over our heads that we relinquish all control to the Holy Spirit and we must abandon ourselves to Him.(see Ezekiel 47: 1-12) Louis Chambers

I'm not the type of person who thinks a ton bout God. I mean I know he's there watching over all of us. But recently I have had some issues with depression. I lost my faith in my self in myself and God. But when I first heard this song I felt something that I hadn't for a long time. I felt a warm and encouraging feeling come to me that I hadn't felt for 5 years. This song showed my the way back into our heavenly father's arms.

Melissa I have a niece also which is a premature 24 weeker and thanks to God she's here with us now she's 4 years old. Just put all your faith and trust in him that she will come out alive and healthy. And with all the caring, love, and attention that all your family gives her she will come out just fine. You know also moms breast milk is so helpful in the recuperation for a pre-mi.
