my brother-in-law passed away peacefully on new year eve and left behind his wife and only daughter. The day before he left us, he found strength in his limited capacity to continue to uphold his family and his extended family in prayer. Three weeks ago I have listen this beautiful song at my church ⛪️ and tears of joys came out of my eyes and I can’t stop playing over and over this amazing song . My life was horrible 8 years ago without JESUS . He set me free from a deep and chronic depresión that I use to suffer since when I was 11 years old . I try to kill my self a few times but God had mercy on me. In August 2014 I came to Jesus by his amazing Grace , I throw all the medications that I use to take for depresión and sleepiness to the garbage, because JESUS change my life and I will don’t have enough life to praise him and be grateful for what he have done in my life .

I was an atheist for 25+ years and really hated the Christian faith. I carried a lot of anger within me. But in August 2020 i experienced a series of supernatural events that completely changed my worldview. I had a physical encounter with the Holy Spirit and saw impossible things happen. I accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior within a week of these encounters. Today, i serve in full time ministry and have never felt more alive. God is truly real and God is truly good. And if anyone reading this isnt sure - all you need to do is send a sincere prayer to God and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. He knows how to reach you and open your heart. @Elisha Yes, you are correct; sin does separate us from God. Nothing can every separate us from's God's love, though. I think that it's so wonderful that even though we sin against God every day, He is still able to love us and want to be with us. I once heard during a sermon that no matter what we do, we cannot make God love us any more or any less.
@Elisha I think we're both saying the truth but talking about different things, and therefor confusing each other. Let me explain my side so that maybe we can understand each other's perspective. Your comment, "DO NOT be led to believe we are once saved always saved," confused me a lot at first, but I think I understand what you meant. Romans 6:1-4 says, "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefor buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." This passage isn't talking about us physically dying like Jesus did; it's talking about how we must die to the world and its desires when we accept Jesus into our hearts and our lives. When we become true followers of Christ, we must die to our sinful lives and desires, and try to live a life according to the Bible. We can't repent for our sins once and then keep living a life of sin because "God forgave me and loves me so it's okay." To be honest, I used to believe that lie myself. Whenever I was tempted to sin, I would tell myself, "Well, if I sin, I know I'm going to feel genuinely sorry and repent of my sin afterwards. I know that because of that, God will forgive me, so it's fine if I do it." I told myself this in moments when I was torn between what I knew was right and what my sinful nature wanted to do, and I used it to justify letting myself give in to sin. I did this for a long time, until I came across Romans 6:1-4 one day in a Bible study. I felt extremely convicted, because I knew the passage was right. I really realized how much I had been lying to myself, and how wrong I was. So yes, you are correct. We cannot repent and say sorry for messing up once, and then go back to our sinful nature. Repentance isn't a one-time-thing-and-you're-saved kind of deal. We have to do it every day, because we mess up every day. Just to be clear, repentance means "to feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one's wrongdoing or sin," according to the dictionary, but another part to it is taking action because of that remorse and actively trying to be better. That's where I had been lying to myself; I felt sorry after I gave in to sin and wanted to be better, but I never actually changed my ways. I was confused by your statement at first because I interpreted it differently. I thought you meant that even if we fully accept Jesus into our hearts and are saved through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, we can be un-saved somehow. This implied that something WE do saves and can unsave us. This baffled me, because being saved by Jesus has nothing to do with us or how "good" we are; salvation is a gift from God. We cannot earn salvation, Jesus gives it to us. He doesn't just hand out eternal salvation to everybody just for free, of course, but that's a whole other can of beans, and this comment is already reeeallly long, so I won't dive into it now. :) Also, I want to clear up what I said about God loving us no matter what in my first comment. I think you might have interpreted that as me saying, "God FORGIVES us no matter what we do." That's not what I intended to convey. I meant, "God LOVES us no matter what we do." "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." -Romans 5:8 Sadly, many people, young and old, believe that maybe God stops loving them if they sin. That's not true at all! This verse tells us that God died for us even when we were still sinners and rejected him. God doesn't love us because we obey him, or we're "perfect," like a lot of non-Christians believe that Christians are supposed to be. God loves us like a father loves his children; he loves us the same no matter how much we mess up, because his love is not based on human works. It is not something we can earn or deserve, but rather something that God gives us. We cannot change how much God loves us! I read a passage just earlier today that I'd like to share. It's Isaiah 43:2-4, and the beginning of verse 5. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. 3 For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead. 4 Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life. 5 Do not be afraid, for I am with you, God is both powerful and loving, both king of creation and humble, both omnipotent and kind. He is the Lion and the Lamb. It's true; God IS love, but that certainly doesn't mean he's weak. :) If I misinterpreted anything you said, or I missed something, feel free to reply and correct me. I'm still young and I'm no preacher, and I still have a lot to learn about God's word and my journey as a follower of Christ. Yes we must love Him by keeping His commandments. Many don't know what Jesus wants of us, study and lead others in the Way. Bringing one to Christ frees us from many sins, but we must try to be good Christians. Love in Him

I first heard this last week at a youth conference I went to. I loved it the moment I heard it. I had been praying for awhile before the conference that God would give me strength to tell my parents about my struggle with self-harm while I was there. And God gave me the strength. When I got back home I got rid of one of my main tools that I used. And so to find this on TH-cam now and to be able to sing: "oh the chains are released, I can sing: I am free, yet not I but through Christ in me" is amazing and feels true.

Three weeks ago I have listen this beautiful song at my church ⛪️ and tears of joys came out of my eyes and I can’t stop playing over and over this amazing song . My life was horrible 8 years ago without JESUS . He set me free from a deep and chronic depresión that I use to suffer since when I was 11 years old . I try to kill my self a few times but God had mercy on me. In August 2014 I came to Jesus by his amazing Grace , I throw all the medications that I use to take for depresión and sleepiness to the garbage, because JESUS change my life and I will don’t have enough life to praise him and be grateful for what he have done in my life .

But in August 2020 i experienced a series of supernatural events that completely changed my worldview. I had a physical encounter with the Holy Spirit and saw impossible things happen. I accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior within a week of these encounters.
Today, i serve in full time ministry and have never felt more alive. God is truly real and God is truly good.
And if anyone reading this isnt sure - all you need to do is send a sincere prayer to God and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. He knows how to reach you and open your heart.

@Elisha Yes, you are correct; sin does separate us from God. Nothing can every separate us from's God's love, though. I think that it's so wonderful that even though we sin against God every day, He is still able to love us and want to be with us. I once heard during a sermon that no matter what we do, we cannot make God love us any more or any less.
@Elisha I think we're both saying the truth but talking about different things, and therefor confusing each other. Let me explain my side so that maybe we can understand each other's perspective. Your comment, "DO NOT be led to believe we are once saved always saved," confused me a lot at first, but I think I understand what you meant.
Romans 6:1-4 says, "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefor buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."
This passage isn't talking about us physically dying like Jesus did; it's talking about how we must die to the world and its desires when we accept Jesus into our hearts and our lives. When we become true followers of Christ, we must die to our sinful lives and desires, and try to live a life according to the Bible. We can't repent for our sins once and then keep living a life of sin because "God forgave me and loves me so it's okay."
To be honest, I used to believe that lie myself. Whenever I was tempted to sin, I would tell myself, "Well, if I sin, I know I'm going to feel genuinely sorry and repent of my sin afterwards. I know that because of that, God will forgive me, so it's fine if I do it." I told myself this in moments when I was torn between what I knew was right and what my sinful nature wanted to do, and I used it to justify letting myself give in to sin. I did this for a long time, until I came across Romans 6:1-4 one day in a Bible study. I felt extremely convicted, because I knew the passage was right. I really realized how much I had been lying to myself, and how wrong I was.
So yes, you are correct. We cannot repent and say sorry for messing up once, and then go back to our sinful nature. Repentance isn't a one-time-thing-and-you're-saved kind of deal. We have to do it every day, because we mess up every day. Just to be clear, repentance means "to feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one's wrongdoing or sin," according to the dictionary, but another part to it is taking action because of that remorse and actively trying to be better. That's where I had been lying to myself; I felt sorry after I gave in to sin and wanted to be better, but I never actually changed my ways.
I was confused by your statement at first because I interpreted it differently. I thought you meant that even if we fully accept Jesus into our hearts and are saved through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, we can be un-saved somehow. This implied that something WE do saves and can unsave us. This baffled me, because being saved by Jesus has nothing to do with us or how "good" we are; salvation is a gift from God. We cannot earn salvation, Jesus gives it to us. He doesn't just hand out eternal salvation to everybody just for free, of course, but that's a whole other can of beans, and this comment is already reeeallly long, so I won't dive into it now. :)
Also, I want to clear up what I said about God loving us no matter what in my first comment. I think you might have interpreted that as me saying, "God FORGIVES us no matter what we do." That's not what I intended to convey. I meant, "God LOVES us no matter what we do."
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." -Romans 5:8
Sadly, many people, young and old, believe that maybe God stops loving them if they sin. That's not true at all! This verse tells us that God died for us even when we were still sinners and rejected him. God doesn't love us because we obey him, or we're "perfect," like a lot of non-Christians believe that Christians are supposed to be. God loves us like a father loves his children; he loves us the same no matter how much we mess up, because his love is not based on human works. It is not something we can earn or deserve, but rather something that God gives us. We cannot change how much God loves us!
I read a passage just earlier today that I'd like to share. It's Isaiah 43:2-4, and the beginning of verse 5.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead.
4 Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.
5 Do not be afraid, for I am with you,
God is both powerful and loving, both king of creation and humble, both omnipotent and kind. He is the Lion and the Lamb. It's true; God IS love, but that certainly doesn't mean he's weak. :)

Yes we must love Him by keeping His commandments. Many don't know what Jesus wants of us, study and lead others in the Way. Bringing one to Christ frees us from many sins, but we must try to be good Christians. Love in Him

Although I have heard this song since last year, now it brings me so much comfort and assurance since my 22 year old son Jonathan fell from height of 4.5 m accidentally 4 weeks ago and had 3 brain surgeries on that day and is still in coma. I first heard this last week at a youth conference I went to. I loved it the moment I heard it. I had been praying for awhile before the conference that God would give me strength to tell my parents about my struggle with self-harm while I was there. And God gave me the strength. When I got back home I got rid of one of my main tools that I used. And so to find this on TH-cam now and to be able to sing: "oh the chains are released, I can sing: I am free, yet not I but through Christ in me" is amazing and feels true.
