Casey it would be awesome if you show some charts of your weight progression, calorie intake, exercise volume etc. I use Strong and Macrofactor to track these and seeing the chart is helpful. It would clearly show the fluctuations one can expect, and what a good trend/progression looks like.
thoughts on a slightly "dirtier" bulk? not a dirty bulk per se but one where you aren't afraid of the little bit of extra fat if it means more muscle growth. i could see this strategy being used in people who struggle to get their hands on a lot of protein-rich food, incorporating mini-cuts at intervals to avoid the extra difficuty when the actual cut comes around.

My off season starts in a few weeks, one more show to get out of the way and then we go. I'll follow a structured diet with set macros, but I'll eat whatever I want if I want to swap a meal.

Look into Vince Gironda 36 egg a day meal plan, it's the best meal plan I have tried to date! I did it a solid month Mon-Fri and sat sun ate 5 normal meals with healthy carb sources.

Cutting as a teen for long periods of time can effect your hormone production. Try to maximize your hormones while you're a growing teen to avoid stunting potential growth. I wonder if I lost any potential in my height by cutting too much for wrestling during high school. Just eat enough quality foods and don't overdue the cut or the bulk. Hormones are the priority for you. Make sure you feel good and eat the right foods. Congrats on losing 50 pounds btw. If I were you I would do a lean bulk for about 3-4 months, to ensure you get to maximize your hormones, then you can do a cut again, losing no more than a half a pound to a pound a week. Just stay around 15%-22% body fat when you alternate these methods. Focus on making gains and increasing performance in the gym. Try not to overthink/overdue things while you're young. Hopefully someone can add to this and provide some advice. I wish you the best of luck on your journey!

I'd say cut for about 6-8 weeks to get to 12, then go from there. No reason to only do 4 weeks if you've actually been bulking for that long
