    Love to see your QT setup in the future.

      Adam Schaafsma Hey, Adam. No QT currently. Other than holding critters for friends, and I know...maybe risky, I haven’t introduced anything new in a while. The last QT was the copperband, and that’s been a while. If I had the space, I’d definitely set up a coral QT. I suppose I’d do a second AWC pump to bring water from the 40 breeder to the coral QT, then out to waste.

      Thank you! I’ve calibrated most all of the other controllers out there, and I can say that GHL put some thought into the process. Simple and flexible!

    Glad I found your channel from Inappropriate Reefer! Quick random question; do you dose your daily Lanthanum Chloride into a sock, skimmer, or just into the system? Thanks!

    • @telegraham
      @telegraham  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I daily dose directly (0.4mL) into the frag tank. A sock would be ideal, but I roll barefoot. 👍

      telegraham Thanks! Been dosing pure LaCl for years into a 5 micron sock but always wondered if I could just dose direct into the system..might give it a shot sometime!

      Cool to know there are others out there! You’ve had success?

      @@telegraham Yessir, been using it for 5 years. I've got around 900 total gallons of water volume and left unchecked my PO4 runs around .5, so every 2 months I perform two doses of 6ml, 1 week apart, to get PO4 back to a normal level. But I've always wondered about a small daily maintenance dose directly into the system and if it would become harmful..thinking of trying to dose into the skimmer and see how it goes. Your success is giving me confidence to try it out!

    I am so impressed with the probe packaging and calibration procedure. How long can the fluid containers that came with the unit be used for verifying data points?

    • @telegraham
      @telegraham  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pour a little out for testing, and the remainder will last 3-6 months. So, three months.

    how do you setup auto Ph and Conductivity dosing, I have the Profilux4 and GHL slave doser but cannot figure out how to set up auto Ph dosing using the two

    One thing to note you shouldn't use the container the calibration fluid is in. Get a cup or something and add the fluid so you don't contaminate the calibration fluid.

      Excellent point, and I always use new fluids. I wouldn’t reuse fluids I had previously opened. Those that shipped with the P4 were trashed. I should have mentioned that. Thank you!

    Have you calibrated the apex salinity probe? If so which one is “easier”?

    • @telegraham
      @telegraham  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If this is an accurate representation of the Apex salinity probe calibration, the GHL is easier. th-cam.com/video/NyC8x57E5DA/w-d-xo.html No temp probe shuffle and no temp probe coefficient values.

    Why did my Profilux come with 4? And 7 ?

    • @telegraham
      @telegraham  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hit them up, but I assume that to be a mistake. pH 4 and 7 calibration solutions are for the KHD.

    What is „rodi“ rinse in rodi?

    • @telegraham
      @telegraham  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Clean water. Not sink water. Filtered water generally used in the aquarium.
