He needs to be seen in the public sometimes to be able to financially able to produce more music for himself. Having the funds to follow his musical passions requires capital that will most easily come from being famous. Let’s just hope he is safe emotionally and physically.
@@tariktv3769 he does do some things to stay in the public eye, he's done some work on Broadway and also some charity/philanthropy stuff. really tho he still probably makes a lot from licensing off his music and from Spotify streaming (I'm Yours has over a billion plays on Spotify). he doesn't do stupid stuff because a) he doesn't need to do stunts to stay famous, and b) he's not stupid

I live in a slump in the Philippines in 2007 when I was only grade 6 where I only have a radio at that time when I first heard I'm yours the first version, then I immediately search this guy and every song that he has at that time, you and I both geek in the pink the remedy and dang I fell in love with him. Jason is 41 years old so he was exposed to the high quality music of the 1970s and 1980s. For example, he is a big Hall & Oates fan (at least that is what he said to Daryl when he was on his show). ENGAGE OLD MAN MODE: Nowadays these youngsters don't get to experience quality music because (besides Jason and Sarah Bareilles), music died in 2006 or 2007.

Even before are captured by trends,which mostly lasts a months.. but Jason's every piece lasts forever... message of song, the lyrics, the show are just so authentic and meaningful. The first time i heard one of his songs, i was just magnetized and looking more of his song. And i found it so interesting all of his song.. it calls your soul, awaken your mind and also charges your body...

I love the whole album Mr. A-Z! I remember holding my son when he was a baby and singing and dancing with him to Life is Wonderful, he would be in this meditative state and would then giggle when we would twirl during the build up- he was so enchanted with that song. Wordplay is also brilliant.

It’s 2022 and even when I’m 80 you’ll always be one of my favourite artists to come too 💕
Same, though I found him in 2012 when i was 12. I've had a few bad experiences that would leave me stunned and vomiting my guts out, and I always played Jason Mraz to calm me down. It'd soothe my nerves. I haven't found anyone else who makes music that makes me so happy. I've heard hundreds of thousands of different tracks, but it's something about his music.
In 2008 I was two. My parents would always play Jason Mraz on car rides and just around the house. I dont know what kind of person I would be without Jason's music in my life

A little known fact. At 00:17, Jason purposefully stutters at the word generation to call a reference to the song "My Generation" by The Who. In the song (My Generation), they stutter at almost every verse, to call reference to The Mods, an English band that started a subculture that was known for its use of amphetamines, and because of their heavy use, they would sometimes stutter on accident during performances.
That's much more interesting than what I thought it was. It sounded to me like he was saying "this degeneration" (or de-generation?), and I thought it was a play on words (ya know, cuz the song is called Wordplay, lol) of 'this degenerate generation".
The Offspring does it in their song “Americana”: “I want it right now cause my g-generation don’t like to wait”

This is the Jason Mraz I love. The upbeat, happy music by Mraz! His newest stuff are alright.. I mean, they're beautiful but it was his upbeat, catchy, fast talking/singing songs that made him truly truly unique and special. I'm not saying he's not unique or special anymore. All I'm saying is I liked his older songs better. However, his newer songs have a LOT more meaning to them. A beautiful meaning.
I've been searching for this song for months and finally found it. My work has a very stale music playlist and I remember this as the only good one on it and wanted to find it. Usually the environment is too loud to hear the words but today I cought a single line and was lead here finally!
