Tbh the orchestration is not that good, bass part is fine, orchestration is too romantic for it to fit with the bass part which is supposed to imitate classical playing. In the 2nd movement at least.
How can you play the contra bass perfectly without any pitch or beat mistakes? I was moved by the sound of the contra bass. Gary Karr is a great man to me.🌺🤩😍
That third movement makes me want to learn this song. When he started playing the bass like it was a guitar....i just laughed at how unpredictable a bass and why does no one care for it.
Honestly I think these are great times for the double bass, just look at Andrés Martin, Rabbath and Simón Garcia works, they are sooooo good and showcases the virtuosity of the double bass
