Prince and Princess launch a new collaboration supporting mental health in South Wales

- Exciting news! In our second Community Impact Day we’re launching a collaboration between The Royal Foundation and Life at No.27, creating allotments and therapy gardens to support mental health and wellbeing in communities across South Wales.

This gardening farm is a wonderful idea for recovering addicts and mental health. Imo The Prince and Princess of Wales are beacon of light in this world. I believe they are genuinely caring, interested, and invested, in all the causes they support.

I'm afraid that King Charles is not even listening to these great works that help those with Menatl Health Issues. Instead of getting his own son the much needed help he requires, he has indulged him even more. I can't imagine what this is doing to the Prince and Princess of Wales! Much love to them for holding their heads high and actually getting on with the job.💖

Gardening is an important part of my life and because I live in Florida I get to work in my garden nearly every day. It helps with anxiety and depression. I feel very fortunate to have my small bit of land to grow food and flowers. This will be a blessing to many.

Wonderful work William and Catherine! That is also a wonderful place! I think it is a brilliant idea to have a gardening place for help for for people with mental health challenges. It can also teach them that they can do things, perhaps even work in gardening. it also makes them feel valued and capable. Well done to all involved. I would love to see this here in Canada.

Preparing the soil, planting & tending to things as they grow is good therapy and can help one learn to tend to oneself well.

I do agree on this matter. There is nothing compared to gardening. I understood, recently, that I am on earth to plant trees. And flowers. I've planted 3 lilacs when I heard The Queen had died...

If I lived there, I would be volunteering at this place.
During the pandemic when many people couldn't go out, many started looking at growing plants. I think it's a great way to calm the mind and have a bit of focus... not to mention it will be great for the environment, too! Keep up the good work! I wish for more initiatives like this everywhere in the world.

Many years ago I asked my mother how she dealt with menopause. She replied “I was too busy to notice.” After raising five children she went back to nursing and always kept a lovely garden. My garden is my joy and delight but after Covid I needed a cat to share it with. The combination is great therapy for me.

What a good idea. Addiction is so difficult to overcome. Out here addiction and homelessness are often together. The sense of accomplishment in gardening is awesome. Here’s another bonus. It’s been proven with dementia, that gardening everyday stops the spiralling decline in dementia.

Just sitting outside far 15 minute perday has proven theraputic with depression issues; Also taking walks in nature,
Hiking is my favorite form of therapy. Forest, mountains, makes no difference. Just being out there, watching the trees change, hearing the birds sing, the wind whispering through the trees. Magical, peaceful, wonderful. ❤️
