  • Just a quick in edited, actual speed of removing the side skirts of my Tesla model Y in under 10 minutes
Only need a flat head screw driver and 10mm wrench
    Remove 2 10mm bolts
1 on each end of the under side skirt
Remove 2 puck pins on each end
Pull on bottom 11 tabs downwards
Then pull down and out towards you and all 11 white clips should pop off
Then to remove the lower skirt
Pull back piece down and push away from you
    Remove remaining pins
Clean and do what you need to!
    Thanks for watching!

Awesome video. Thanks for posting. I'm installing a kit and was wondering how to remove and replace that bottom trim if I ever needed to in the future. Thanks again this was very helpful.

Thanks for posting the video. Question my model 3 bottom trim is coming off. I tried glue but it does not hold. If I push the pins in they don"t catch and come right out. I made a service appt at TSLA dealer but they are over 3 hours away from me. Any suggestions? I just purchased epoxy, but like the glue there is no flat surface to apply it to. Help?

Might need to get new push pins or bigger pins. I purchased a pin set with different sizes that might help keep it in place. Aside drilling a screw to hold from falling.

hello, I broke a mud flaps' screw and I believe it fell in the side skirt. I was wondering if I can remove only from the from by pulling? Or do I have to remove the whole thing like you did. Thank you for making this video!

Yes if it’s in there you can pull down and you will feel it loosen, if you don’t want to completely remove it then down pull towards you or out rather pull down from the back reaching underneath the car where the side skirts meet the battery bottom and you should be able to tilt it and maybe get access to this screw or bolt.

Hello, I broke 1 leg out of the 4 legs on the plastic pins you mention at 0:34 when i tried installing my mud flaps. Should i remove the entire side skirt or should i just leave it in there? Would it cause any damage to anything?

Do you mean 1of the 2 pins on each side, those can be replaced and if installing mud flaps you might need a longer pin any ways. I bought a box set of different size pins

WHY? GRANTED CLADDING, INCLUDING AROUND THE WHEELS IS UGLY ON ANY CAR, BUT NOW YOU HAVE A CAR THAT LOOKS LIKE IT NEEDS REPAIR.

I installed a carbon fiber side skirt in its place. No other videos on how to remove them. Simple as that!

Remember model 3 and Y share a lot of parts. I would assume it’s very similar but I have not done anything to a 3.

@MrAnayalater would you mind shipping to NJ? Just need the passenger side. How much do you sell for the stock kit?
