- I’ve always loved these gauges in M3’s and I knew when I got my f80, it was something I needed in the car. AK Motion sent over their latest nextgen display to see what I thought. Such a clean setup and happy I can monitor multiple parameters at once and customize my m3 to my liking.

I got my Display for about a year now - not missing the vent so far - but I love to finally be able to see water temp, oil temp and oil pressure in my E90 LCI
FYI - not sure on the F-Series cars but if you want to diagnose the car via OBD - you need to lock the Display too - otherwise it will block the connection
So this does work on e-series? Same install process? i.e. meaning the canbus tap in is in the passenger footwell?
@bimmerboi_hutch yes same process. Not sure of the wire colors but they have an install manual as well for other cars and gen’s.
@@bimmerboi_hutchthe E-Series module has a different bezel and slightly smaller Screen - 3,5" vs 3.2"
but install is like you mentioned - PT-can and power from the JBBF and you are golden

Go over the extras click activate and save. I show it in the walk through towards the end of the video.

Yep, bm3 would be no problem. I will be running bm3 as well.
Does this allow exhaust valve control (Similar to Awron units)?
Yes I show that in the video of the different exhaust valve options.
Does the heat and a/c get redirect or does it just blast against the back of the gauge?
Since the vent is closed, it just gets redirected to the other vents. I actually noticed it pushed more air to the passenger side vent, which is great since it can easily be felt when directed towards the driver.

Was debating on doing this on my m4 but for me not worth 700 bucks I’m not tracking the car nor changing my tune maps every second of that day it is sick tho ❤❤❤
What you get for the money of this far surpasses any option on the market. I’m not doing either of those either, but being able to monitor live data parameters and know what’s going on at all times is key to a successful and trouble feee ownership. May not be for everyone, but I assure you it’s absolutely worth it.
@@Scoobyfreak86 yeah I get it for some people it’s a peace to have all that. The features are cool for sure but for me I let the car warm up and these cars have so much tech that if something goes wrong it’ll put it in safe mode . I’m not beating on the car it’s my daily not a race car but hope you enjoy it love the videos keep putting that great content out 💪💪
Looks cool, but giving up an AC vent in AZ is lunacy.
Since the vent is closed off, it just pushes the air to the passenger vent, which you can angle towards the driver. Same amount of air into the cabin as before.

Can easily do this with the passenger side vent. Aim it towards you and you can feel it no problem. I confirmed this the other day.
