    Lionel Trains of 1955 contains information that has NEVER been reported. Add it to your collection today!
    This is a very rare and out of print VHS tape by video producer Don Varda and Lionel train collector Joe Algozzini covering all the trains made by Lionel in 1955. In this video, Varda and Algozzini cover each set, locomotive, and car offered by Lionel in 1955 and all the variations of the products made that year.
    Don Varda is best known for working with acclaimed toy train collector and video producer Tom McComas at TM Books & Video during the early to mid 1990's. Varda and McComas together produced many shows for TM such as the original Toy Train Revue video magazine, The Magic of Lionel Trains, the first entries of the very popular I Love Toy Trains video series, and many more. In 1994, Don Varda left TM to pursue his own video production company called Varda Communications Corporation based out of LaPorte, Indiana. He created a few videos about toy trains such as "The Romance of Model Railroading O Gauge Layouts", "Stop, Look and Listen How To Identify Postwar Lionel", and the "MTH RailKing" 1995 video catalog. Varda stopped making videos by the late 90's and is now a coach in LaPorte, Indiana.
    This video was uploaded for preservation and entertainment purposes as this video is very rare and has been out of print.

    I had these videos way back. They are my favorite Lionel Videos.

    Collectible they are trained to be played with not gold coins or bullion to be stuck in a safe. They were never supposed to be an investment. They were meant to be enjoyed. They were nice engines at the time. They would run for hours at fire children's imaginations back when children had imagination. In the 1950s practically everybody had either a Lionel American Flyer or ho layout in their basement. That's why all the station wagons had to be able to carry a 4x8-ft plywood and close the door the same for a pickup truck.

      I agree. I collect all mainly because I love trains. I never buy trains as an investment because I feel that is ridiculous and they were made to be played with and enjoyed, even if it is rare.

    No doubt in my mind. 1953-55 were the best years for Lionel. Flyer's best was from 1953-58.

    I bought these VHS tapes in '95and still play them ,but the 1955 version shredded years ago. Some of my favorites.

      That was one of my biggest concerns as I recorded these videos and one of the reasons why I uploaded them. That way they can be watched without risking damage to other tapes.

      Thank you! I am really glad that you enjoy it! I too love the 1955 product lineup for Lionel, but I also love everything that came out in the Postwar era, as well as Prewar and Modern. I was very fortunate to obtain this VHS and was harder to find than the 1954 VHS. I've also obtained the 1956 VHS which even harder to find! That video is being uploaded as I speak, but it'll take a couple hours. Stay tuned fellow Lionel train enthusiast!

      Hi Terry, thank you for commenting on this video! I actually live about an hour away from Lansing. Maybe some day we could meet and discuss toy trains if you want. I saw your previous layout in Tom McComas' Toy Train Revue and Magic of Lionel programs, but still need to get the updated version that TM did awhile back. Your current layout is amazing and an outstanding collection. Feel free to reach out. My email is nworden97@yahoo.com. Best wishes fellow Lionel enthusiast!

    What will you say is the most collective year for Postwar?

    • @wordenentertainment1997
      @wordenentertainment1997  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly that is hard to say since there are so many wonderful and collectable trains from Lionel in the Postwar era. For me it would be 1948, 1950 and 1953 since those are very high selling years and feature many iconic locomotives and sets like the GG1 and the 773 Hudson. Honestly though I love everything.
