- Hope you enjoy this playful Dick Bruna-esque colour work/‘pixel grid’ crochet piece! The design of this pattern is based on the tulip emoji (with a smaller stem/leaves, and a larger flower).

✷ Resources
→ The abbreviated ‘sc’ stands for ‘single crochet stitch’ (it’s the only stitch used throughout this pattern). I use US crochet terms.
→ Yarn used: I really enjoyed working with ‘Dishie’ for this project from Knit Picks, it’s tightly spun and purpose-made for hardwearing projects, available in heaps of colours, shrsl.com/423lc * I used the colours ‘Clementine’ (orange 'A' colour), ‘Jalapeno’ (green 'B' colour), and ‘Swan’ (off-white 'C' colour) for this project.
→ Crochet hook used: 3.5 mm WeCrochet aluminium hook (in a set of nine), shrsl.com/423lp *

OH MY GOSH! this was my 2nd official attempt at tapestry crochet (1st was absolutely terrible and i gave up for a few months BUT) i actually did it! thank you so much for the explanations and the number of stitches written on the screen helped a lot!
yessss! really glad to hear
This is soooo cute! Looking at all three of yours stacked on top of each other it makes me think this could make a really cute scarf
yes! that would be a cutie, wouldn't it?! great idea 💘
My Olde son Daughter Loves Tulips 🌷. I will definitely try your pattern to make her some Beautiful Coasters. Thank you!❤

🌷👼🏻✨

😌💛✨
Hi!! I love this pattern, but i want to add the border in the other color and im not sure how to do it, do you have any video explaining it? Thankss ❤
heya! 🌞 oh, I’m not sure that I do, but what I’d suggest for a simple sc border (as I’ve done in the thumbnail), is to just make sure to add two sc into the corner stitches (to help turn your work - aside from that, a sc into every st)! hope that helps 🫧
Hi!! Do you chain one after every row to turn?
Correct! ✨
what did you use to turn the emoji into a grid??
a free design tool called figma, www.figma.com/design/
What app do you use? Please tell me
hello - what app do you mean (to create the chart)?
@@dear.rainie yes
I thought i could do this. Apparently not😂😭 its now in the trash. I give up.
Oh no! 🥹 are you more of a beginner to crochet? Hopefully you're able to return to it at a later date, don't be discouraged!
