So glad I went to Thursday at the Harbor this year. If I hadn't then I'd have never discovered her music. Last year it was Fitz & the Tantrums and this year it's ZZ Ward and Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds!
i have a question , I love this album "11 roses" but all the tracks are mastered with most of the audio in the left speaker. Is this intentional? I have to be honest its a bit off putting for us who wear head phones and limits how often i listen to it which sucks cause its so good. Would you ever think of remastering with balanced audio?
I first heard about ZZ Ward by the trailer of Pretty Little Liars and I want to say thank you because ever since, I can't keep listening to it. She has a so good voice !
First off you are not a loser. Don't ever think that about yourself. You are a unique, special, wonderful person who has so much to contribute to the world. Secondly, in order to get her R's sounding like that ZZ more then likely is scooping on the pitch which is a Blues/Jazz song style technique.
I've seen this gal perform twice over the last few years. She is a brilliant artist and performer who writes all her own stuff. I know she's going places and I can't wait.

That song with Gibbs, her Put the Gun Down track, Til the Casket Drops and this song called Move Like You Stole it about hooking up with a nerd (haha), all are just so freaking great. She's so legit. I love it. Really my favorite EP this year. Def check it out on iTunes

This and Put The Gun Down are my two faves of hers--so far--but she seems to rock everything she sings. Unique look too, good moves. Destined for stardom. Find her live on an old Jay Leno appearance (at least Spring, 2012) doing Put The Gun Down. She's even better, Live!
