You did an amazing job! Those wonderful old basket-case project Indians are becoming very hard and expensive to find.

What a great sounding machine, you should be proud. It puts modern day bikes to shame. Congrats on a killer job!

I like the new Indian Scout, it's a nice bike and they're selling a lot of them. Obviously the old Indians are icons of history and great fun, but I would buy a new Indian in a minute.

I had heard back in the day that people who owned flatheads were allways looking to get more power out of them & that builders would put the '74 cheif flywheels into scouts , Harley owners would do the same & it made the smaller bikes quicker, compared to the stock "45 bikes but OHV were the way of the future . Still dosen't detract 1 iota from the fact that its an awesome bike that could participate in vintage racing . Wishing you many years of safe & fun riding .

The road - the bike - memory lane for me - in 1962 I bought an Indian Chout bobber with a chromed leaf spring front end and jockey shift - $200 was the price - bailing wire was evident and it hauled ass having been a dirt track racer I was told. I drove all over eastern Mass and never had a problem. Started every time. I loved that bike and this is the closest image that matches my memory. Thanks.

Even though I'm not a fan of the 'bobber' style, this machine looks pretty decent done up that way. I'd have to have at least a small fender on the front wheel to help protect the frame from debris and water off the front wheel on wet days.

What an absolutely beautiful bike. It's so clean and well proportioned. The emphasis is obviously on the art deco styling and the vintage mechanical bits as opposed the goofiness you see on all the chopper building shows.
Obviously 1930s technology is no match for a modern sport bike or street fighter when it comes to all out performance. But I suspect a light nimble bike with a torquey stroker motor, like this, is one sweet performing bike in the real world

I'd love that bike, but the neighbours would all want to lynch me.
Does that thing have open exhausts?
You probably couldn't get away with such in the UK, even out in the country.
Even though I like the sound maybe Mr Law Man might think otherwise & bust me for illegal pipes. No idea of the noise rules on a pre-WW2 bike in the UK.
