I really enjoyed this episode just because it helped me alot. I'm playing the exact same deck but with Tesla instead of the cannon. I'm at around 3900 trophies with tournament level standard cards and I meet opponents with lvl 12 elite Barb's every other match, feels bad man. But I hope that I can use some of the "pro" strats in my own gameplay :) Thank you Ash

Aquilla You could try swapping knight for ice golem. Helps a lot against e barbs on defence
Use ice golem to pull to center, then you can use cannon closer to king tower, or a combo of skellies and ice spirit to pull them towards other tower and/or king tower. So you have to make sure both towers are helping, and might get a king activation too.

I really love watching pro Hog players giving their gameplays. As a Hog player too, I’m learning a lot from them. Thanks Ash, for making it possible.
It’s always a treat to see Jack play hog cycle against some of the heavy counters to the deck. And what I’ve also noticed is how his play style has changed a bit. He seems a bit more aggressive now!
Maybe next time, for all of us hog cycle players, you can ask Jack on basic tips against Lavaloon, PEKKA Graveyard decks or when you’re underleveled?
I love when the community hates on hog cycle decks while being one of the trickiest types of decks in the game, its all about making advantages and if you mess up once you cant come back unless they mess up.

if you are going to share another 2.6 hog cycle, make sure to put a beatdown lightning deck because I always lose against them

We only have 1 musky n fireball for air.. I get trapped if I use the fireball on minion horde. Den in double elixir they stack it with lava loon 3 minions and destroy my musky with 1 zap n 1 fireball or just 1 fireball.. please help

this is literally my deck... i abused this as soon as ice golem came out. although i dont play much anymore, 4k trophies was my highest. and now switched back to zap/log bait w/ goblin barrel, gang, bats, rascals

What I do is bats for skeletons and wizard for musketeer
I love hog decks but don't like 2.9 hog cycle decks I play like 3.3 hog with Tesla hog wizard fireball icespirit log guards and Valkyrie because I find it difficult to defend big pushes ..so a big thanks to you ash u are great indeed
It's kind of routine to defend against golem pushes using 2.6. When the opponent places golem in the back, I usually either push on the other side if I have hog, or place ice golem behind my king tower. Then I wait for the golem to make it to the bridge and then place my cannon and then musketeer.
If you have to, since the deck cycles so quickly, you can cycle back to another ice golem if the first one gets killed. 2.6 is annoying like that.
tl;dr cycle ice golems lol.
Great idea. I just have to make sure my opponents aren't carrying a zap or something to counter my level 1 Valkyrie.

I sure did enjoy jacks replays actually. Ive been using a trifecta deck you posted a while back and it got me two close wins. My muskee and ice golem are super under leveled at 9 soo im always at a disadvantage

If the opponent has higher leveled cards than you, the best thing you can do is put extra effort on defense and making sure you sustain as little tower damage as possible. That goes especially with Golem and Giant as they’re some of the more popular win conditions.
Against the royal giant, I tend to place my cannon directly next to the side of the arena, one tile from the princess tower, and my musketeer on the other side opposite to the cannon. That way, the opponent doesn’t really have a way to snipe the cannon across from the bridge.
Against balloons, you want to use your cannon to draw the balloon to the center and have a well-timed ice spirit to take it out. If your cannon is out of cycle, place musketeer in the center and then an ice spirit as quickly as possible. You may or may not sustain one hit depending on the level of your musketeer or ice spirit. In the worst case scenario, you fireball the balloon and take two hits.
For maxed out elite barbarians, the best thing you can do is kite with a hog (which is what I frequently do and place musketeer in the center), or fully defend with musketeer, your cycle cards, and ice golem.
Some extra tips are that if the opponent places a PEKKA behind their king tower, push on the same side as the PEKKA, which forces them to place their support units in front of the PEKKA and not behind it. Another thing is that you, most of the time, want to defend with musketeer as that allows you to start off with a counterpush or split push like what Jack does. Only save your cannon for when the opponent places down a win condition like Golem or Hog or Giant.

Ash, this isn't directly related to this video, but it is something that could be useful in every video any TH-camr makes. Ive always wondered why TH-camrs don't adopt some type of standard when displaying decks. When I build a deck I put my least expensive cards starting at the top left and go lowest to highest from there. It makes its easier for a wide array of reasons. Have you ever considered anything like that?
