whoops made it public a bit too early - qualities are processing. there are some extra things not covered in here but the main topic of this is slide cancelling and the two related quirks (slide chaining and the weird corner jumps). you can move the mouse while doing the corner jumps to alter the angle you jump at, allowing you to jump at a more or less perpendicular angle. this is all fairly complex mechanically so i wouldn't worry too much if you don't understand - neither do i. the main takeaway from this is slide chaining which is somewhat easy to do with a bit of a practice and can give you insane stealth mobility
If you need more space to move try the tutorials. Another thing is try s then space for corner jumps if the problem is momentum canceling. Also if you’re just gonna always slide cancel why not have space always bound to double space the only thing weird would be lock picking.
The problem with using S to cancel is that you need to tap it then immediately release otherwise you start moving backwards, and adding that to the corner jumps just adds another layer of complexity when it's much easier to tap jump twice. Good call on the double space though, I'm not sure there's a downside to it other than lock picking would force you to stand if you want to cancel it (which is how it worked until a few updates ago anyway). I'm not going to bother changing my space to do two inputs but it would definitely make it easier!
So the old slippery jumpcrouch stealth technique is back huh, funny how they tried to replace it with something "better" and that would look more realistic...only for it to litterally just become the same thing again.

Slide cancel chaining only works if the sprint button is hold instead of toggle, even when holding down the toggle variant.
Interesting, thanks for mentioning this!

Excellent video will be putting this to use
I did make a "bunny hop" short video and it was similar to this, pretty good explanation.
Sicc moves.
