I bought facecam, and I actually am happy with it. comparing the old one, has way better quality and a wider angle, and I don't need to worry about lost focus of the camera anymore. @@apratimsingh1306
The Facecam's brightness also changes considerably if you change the "shutter speed" in the settings. Bottom line, accept that you want to manually tweak the settings for the best look, really with any webcam, and the Facecam gives you good options for adjustment, with good results.
Great job with the review. The side-by-sides were incredibly helpful. I’ve been considering going to a DSLR setup for my Zoom calls, but after your review of the FaceCam, I’m not sure it’s worth the expense and complexity. Thank you so much.
I created a new video going over the Elgato Facecam's settings with their software, so check that out to see how you can get the best picture with the Facecam! th-cam.com/video/_Wi9HmtxNZo/w-d-xo.html
My History on Webcams was heavily Logitech based. I had the QuickCam Pro 9000, C910, C930e, Brio and C920. Yes, in that order, and the C920 by now was my favorite Logitech Cam, because of the „Beauty Filter“ and jittery 60fps mode on the Brio. I now got myself two Elgato Facecams. And they outclassed my Logitech Cams heavily.
Well, it’s not like it actually has one, but the highly selective sharpening algorithm acts like one, because it makes me look younger. It’s really weird.
Hey dude... I have a c920 and problems in my streams... Are u thinking the elgato helps?.. My monitor tft flash my face so mutch.. And I think the c920 can't handle this
Thanks for this video. I'm thinking of buying a webcam. They both look great, I do think Elgato looks sharper, but am I the only one that prefers the Brio when it was dark, as that seemed to be a bit brighter and not so dark?
I got to say my guy you did a fantastic job on this video seriously you deserve way more subs but I’m a TH-cam Gamer and I definitely want to invest in this elgato. Face cam and you toped tier this video right out of the ball park for the home Run straight up man you the best his video right here is the best so far you showing everything in it much respect hope you stay up on this tech so I can come back and back to check it out
This is very helpful and I appreciate the comparisons. Especially when you showed off the comparisons with the DSLR camera.!! I am still unsure which I want to go with as I have been thinking about using a DSLR but I hear you have to have another piece to get that to work as a webcam for streaming on PC's so I dunno, But again Thanks so much for this.
Thank you for the video! I would like to have a question regarding the Brio. I am using now a C920 HD for streaming, the quality is fine for me, but I am struggling with the known bug, that the settings revert always after every restart to the default, even with G Hub installed (when I start a Zoom meeting, or OBS, many times my picture is overexposed and need to open G Hub, change the brightness 1% and change it back, then the picture will be good again). My question would be whether this bug also applies to Brio as well, or it is just a C920 problem? Honestly if I would change the current camera, I would prefer the Brio more than the Elgato one, but if it has also bugs, then I wont have any other choices. Thank you!
Did you try changing the exposure to where it should be and then going into the settings on G hub for the C920 and checking the box that says "disable this device in G HUB to allow other software to have full control" ? That might be a fix if you haven't tried it already. Or you could also make sure G HUB starts on bootup of your computer. If nothing else, this seems to be a problem exclusive to the C920 and C922, so you shouldn't have this issue with the Brio
I mean, Isn't the Facecam twice the price? Also, I don't know if it was intended but the 920x video footage is zoomed in. It will 100% appear more blurry the more you zoom it in obviously.
In Canada the Brio is $45CA cheaper currently than the Facecam, and considering how similar they compare I rather save some money. Plus with changing some settings like manual focus and turning up saturation slightly I think it would be on par since I have adequate lighting in the room.
Yeah the face cam definitely lets in more light with a f/2.4 so you can better adjust the shutters peed and the iso, but yeah this was a good comparison about plug and play out of the box auto modes, because most casuals will go with the automatic route
Thanks for doing a comparison. I'd love to see how it looks btwn brio vs facecam, but standing far away... like for musicians. I love how crisp the face is for the Facecam, but you're right about that blurry background. Encouragement for a follow up video, if you ever feel moved . Reply with link if you do, and I will watch! Or, you know, just if you have an opinion on it
By far the biggest hurdle will be getting a hold of a graphics card at a good price because of the demand for them. Any of the Nvidia 3000 series at retail price would be a steal, but a very difficult task. I would research that first and build around that.
IMHO never use a customizable webcam on auto setting. It's obvious if you can't get the full capability of a $200 webcam on both Brio or Facecam. That's why you can't get good color or light composition
i preffer blurry background than no blur background because it might be glitchy (If i had to choose if no blurry background and bad blur background (its good blur) i will chose blur 100%)
(also i hate the elgato facecam because its WAY too overhyped and we dont like stuff that is overhyped also no need to roast webcams cheaper not like saying its not suprising at all with the c920 because its not fair that overhyped stuff better then cheap old 1080p webcams)
this was exactly what I wanted, I have a c920, looking into buying a new one, and here you are, made a video just for me 2 years ago! thanks :D
which one did you buy then? plz share your review

So the brio, got it

whats the beauty filter??

Hi, does the 2 elgato facecams work good together? Thank you!
yeah the Brio 4k is STILL unmatched, even the new facecam doesn't beat it for the same price.
Thanks- Just ordered a Brio from your link! :)
Thanks for the comparison 👍
Much love 💕
Matthias 👋
Finally someone who can review a product and know how to edit properly! Great video! :)
I buy the brio thanks a lot. rly good Video.
Love the subtle Super Mario Bros. 3 music in the background!!!
You have charm. First I looked that you had 613 thousand subs. You deserve more!

$200 for a 1080p webcam. Get a 4k logitech brio for the same price and call it a day. $200 for a 1080p cam is insane
Great Video bro. You deserve more subs.
Thanks for this video bro !
amazing comparison. What lens did yo have on the canon 90d? 24mm? 10-18?
I just use the kit lens, which is 18-55mm

7:15 onward Brio is actually focused on the bright light strip on the shelf and not the face.
I mean, Isn't the Facecam twice the price? Also, I don't know if it was intended but the 920x video footage is zoomed in. It will 100% appear more blurry the more you zoom it in obviously.
Thanks for the review!
Facecam looks oversharped and over satured. The Brio is the best!
It's sucks. Everything you heard about it is a lie. Brio quality is fuzzy noise and flickering
Super dope review! straight to the point and very informative. Thank you.👍

Great review! Gonna try the facecam.
This is the best video ever

Nice video, perfect webcam, however at my place it costs 406$ due to import duties and taxes.

What about the Logitech 4K pro? Is it basically same as Brio?
Is the same, the only difference is the packaging
what camera do you use on your videos?
I use a Canon 90D hooked up to an Elgato Cam Link
@@Juggleboy oh looks amazing .Thank you 😌
I can't say I'll ever do a face reveal, but this is definitely something to take into account. Great video!
I got the FaceCam too bro. I’m MacOS user. I’m trying to started building my first Pc any Advice?

Buy a prebuild
IMHO never use a customizable webcam on auto setting. It's obvious if you can't get the full capability of a $200 webcam on both Brio or Facecam. That's why you can't get good color or light composition
Perhaps you should adjust your white balance settings...
you look younger on the brio
7:00 How is it pretty similar? Algato has better foreground image, Brio - background
A blurry background, in relation to the foreground is usually desirable in a situation like this, to have that selective focus.
Just get the one that has Windows Hello feature. It will be worth it.
May I just say cute.... lol also I like the brio the best at least for my eyes
i preffer blurry background than no blur background because it might be glitchy

im proud of you
