I found your channel a few days ago, right when I decided to quit social media completely. I'm a writer too, and I find you so inspiring!! all the scrolling and overstimulation that came with it made me so distracted and even scared of actually taking action and getting back to writing my novel, and you helped me realize it's still... possible?? idk how to word it, but thank u!!

Wow! I’m a writer too, and I can’t believe how detailed your routine is. My only goal is to write 1,000 words everyday and half the time, I have no idea what I’m even going to write about until I’m actually writing.
Also, the pinterest board thing is such a good idea, and I’m definitely stealing it for future projects!

omg this is literally a highlight reel lol. i do have a pretty in depth planning process, but when it comes to actually writing the book...LOL. you caught me at a good time in this video. i will literally make up any excuse not to write sometimes omg.

I am so excited to see that you are a writer! I love writing and I love finding people to follow who also love writing so seeing you, who I already followed, writing is really exciting for me.

I’ve just come across your videos in the past few days and love your content. I have been deleting various social media apps for years in attempt to quit and finally have deleted them all for good (besides yt). As I am wholeheartedly a music girly and have stepped away from Stan culture (that I felt was very overwhelming specifically on tik tok) but I still struggle with the fear of missing out on new music releases and tour dates. These are truly things that I still love and was wondering if you had any tips on staying up to date with your favourite artists. I know this is more fitting with your last video but thought I’d have a better chance of reaching you on this one. Thank you for your content, it’s very comforting to know someone with similar experiences and interests feels the same way about social media

I don't have social media and honestly for the music thing I just follow all of my favorite artists on spotify and spotify notifies me when their new music comes out or I look them up whenever I think about them and see if there's anything new

hello! yes, i used to be INSANE when it came to stan culture. when i first got off of socials i had friends who were kind enough to keep me in the loop. they would literally send me anything and everything. they were literally unpaid update accounts for me LOL. but i found that over the course of this, i naturally grew to a point where i realized "why do i care so much?" and then it became "yeah, i don't care anymore." it feels a lot easier to be a fan of someone when it becomes less personal and more about the music (in my opinion). but for the artists that i love i keep up with tour dates and releases by subscribing to their email list and following them on spotify. and then of course i keep up to date my watching different TH-camrs (the swiftie community on youtube is THE BEST).

@@gillianelaird thank you so much! I will definitely be subscribing to mailing lists, Spotify and TH-camrs - so smart! I love your content so much, it makes me feel so much less alone in not wanting social media and focusing on creating a life that I love! And a life that is mine. Wishing you all the best with your novel, I can’t wait to meet these characters and love the seasonal concept :) such a wonderful community you’ve built!

Honestly I love vlogs that are slow and calm as they’re really relatable to me as an English lit student who enjoys spending time at home doing my own thing and is trying to cut down on screen time to be more creative. I really look forward to your videos, thanks!!

Your year 1 teacher is brilliant, how wonderful that she instilled that love for reading and writing in you. It would be so nice if you could add her in an acknowledgement in your book (if you want to of course!). Oh man, I would love for you to do some journal flip throughs :D How wonderful that you had such a positive childhood, I wish all kids could have that. I wish I had that, lol. I changed schools too often to have any good friends. My 8 year old daughter is quite similar, she's the ringleader for her own little world and ropes her friends into it. She's very imaginative and wants to be an author. Your kitty was literally like "Excuse me, don't give me a bad image on your vlog" lol. I'm really excited to see your novel one day. Congratulations on getting draft 2 done, that's amazing. You cut the word count down quite a bit but it's still a fair bit over, oof! It must hurt so much removing those sections that you just can't have in. It is pretty scary thinking of life after study. I've been studying since 2019, I did psychology and now I'm doing teaching and I'll be finished and a registered teacher in july 2025... both excited and nervous as hell! A fantasy fairytale for adults would be so cool, with some romance and smut hahah.
