    What you must know before traveling to Salalah from Dubai by Road
    Here is a complete Vlog in Urdu covering all the information needed for a safe and enjoyable travel to Salalah - Oman
    Here is FAQs which are trying to covered in my Vlog…
    • Travelling distance
    • Which route should be used during the day and at night?
    • How much would the Fuel cost?
    • Where to Stay while driving with Family
    • How many Days can a superb trip be planned?
    • Road conditions up to Salalah
    • Speed restrictions and Speed radars on the road
    • Visa procedure and border requirements
    • Where to obtain Auto/vehicle insurance for Oman visa
    • Is it feasible to travel to Salalah by yourself with your Family?
    • Top 10 Places to Visit in Salalah
    • Hotel Accommodation and Food Prices in Salalah

    • How to Plan Your Salalah Daily Trip
    • Salalah Dos and Donts
    Travel requirements from Dubai (UAE) to Oman by road: Quick Checklist
    Oman tourist visa (obtained online or at the border, subject to nationality).
    A passport should be valid at least 6 months after the visa issue date.
    VACCINE IS NO LONGER REQUIRED! (Oman Air Travel advisory on Covid-19)
    PCR test is NOT required. (Oman Air Travel advisory on Covid-19)
    Advisable Travel health insurance covering covid-19.
    NO LONGER REQUIRED! Fill in a form on Oman’s Travel Authorisation System before your trip to Oman HERE.
    Car registration (mulkiya), car insurance in Oman-orange card.
    NOC certificate for a rental car or if you are driving a borrowed car.
    Driving your own car from UAE to Oman
    When driving your own car from UAE to Oman, make sure to obtain a so-called orange card from your insurance company. This card serves as an insurance policy and is required when traveling in the GAIF (General Arab Insurance Federation) countries (which includes Oman).
    Depending on your insurance policy (if you purchased a policy that covers Oman territory) you either get an orange card free of charge or at a fee to cover your car in The Sultanate.
    When I requested an orange card, I have received it instantly at the Insurance company office. However, I have heard that in some cases, it may take a couple of days to prepare it. Therefore, the best is to call your insurance company and ask for all the details about the orange card processing times and costs.
    NOTE: Orange card covers damages caused by the Insured to a Third Party in a foreign GAIF member country (including Oman in this case).
    What if my car is on the mortgage, can I still drive it to Oman?
    If your car is on the mortgage, it can be a little confusing. However, from information online, it seems that Hatta-Al Wajajah border is allowing passengers with cars that are still on a loan.
    Can I drive somebody else’s (my friend’s) car to Oman?
    Yes, you can drive someone else’s car as long as you have the no-objection certificate (NOC) from the owner, car registration documents, and insurance covering the territory of Oman (orange card).
    Can I take a rental car from Dubai to Oman?
    Yes, it is usually possible to drive a rental car from Dubai to Oman. However, you must first check with the rental company if they allow taking the car to the neighboring country. For example, with Discovercars or Rentalcars, before making a reservation, you can always check if taking a car to Oman is permitted by the rental company.
    If yes, they will have to give you a no objection certificate (NOC) and advice on additional requirements. Also, you must obtain car insurance for Oman. This you can either get at your car rental company or at the border (although the latter can be more expensive).
    Is an international license valid in UAE and Oman?
    If you are a tourist visiting the UAE and are willing to drive to Oman, you have to have a driving license issued at your country of residence, matching the residency stated on your passport. In addition, you may also need International Driving Permit (IDP)- some rental companies do request this, and some do not. It also depends on which country’s driving license you hold.
    Can I use a UAE license to drive in Oman?
    If you are a UAE resident, you can use your UAE driving license to drive in Oman.

    Salam Nasir bhai.. amazing video i must say you have certainly covered the relevant FAQ's and is much needed help
    Just few questions in my mind and seeking your kind advice
    1. is end of june that is eid ul adha holidays from Dubai a good time to travel or just after eid ul adha holidays would be better from these two options
    2. Which place is better to take a break ibri or haima when traveling with family spouse and an 8 year old son
    3. My profession is system administrator in IT field so is that profession eligible for online visa and i have also heard now for GCC residents visa fee is exempted how legit is that
    4. My car insurance covers oman so for obtaining orange card do i need to check with my insurance or some other authority like adnic
    5. How big is salalah in terms of visiting the famous points what i mean is can you recommend a good and addordable hotel in a centralized location so the points are easily approchable, im not fan of fancy hotel just looking for cleanliness and a good breakfast as the basic reason to travel is to enjoy nature not a staycation 😊
    Thanks for taking time out :)

    • @SkyViewTraveler
      @SkyViewTraveler  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you, I'll go straight to your questions:
      At the end of June, it is also the khareef/monsoon season, but at the beginning of khareef, lush greenery is not expected in Salalah. The best time to visit is in August.
      I'm certain that now there's free entry for UAE residents to Oman, and profession doesn't matter at all.
      If you start travelling in the evening/night, then Ibri is the best place to stay when going to Salalah. If you leave in the morning, then Haima is better. The same goes for the return trip to Dubai. The purpose is to rest with the car. Don't plan to drive at night if you are the only driver.
      Take the orange card from the insurance company and keep it with you.
      Salalah is a large place, but it's best to take a hotel near the city/Carrefour. You can travel to any point in Salalah and return to the hotel every evening.
      I hope it covers your queries. 👍

    • @SkyViewTraveler
      @SkyViewTraveler  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You need NOC from Bro. You can take insurrance by yourself by showing ur DL and Mulkiya -- if mulkiya is valid for trip days then no problem -- But avoid closed renewal date. Better to renew the Mulkiya then travel.

    • @SkyViewTraveler
      @SkyViewTraveler  ปีที่แล้ว

    • @SkyViewTraveler
      @SkyViewTraveler  ปีที่แล้ว

      UAE residents require an Oman visa to cross the Oman border. However, there are certain exemptions to this requirement, such as GCC residents who are eligible for visa-free entry into Oman.
      If you are a UAE resident planning to travel to Oman, you will need to obtain an Oman visa in advance, unless you fall under one of the exempted categories. It is recommended to check with the relevant authorities or embassy to confirm the latest visa requirements before traveling.

    Assalmualaikum brother, I was planning to travel to Salalah for 10 days to visit my brother in law next month along with my wife and two sons, I am resident here UAE, by profession I am security manager, my family is sponsored by me, I am planning to travel in my own car which is owned by me and I have travel insurance (orange card) for it for oman,
    Kindly advise if my profession manager falls in approved professions? do I need to apply online visa if yes which catagory I will select for me and and my family. Or can I get visa at the border entry point, what's your suggestion.

    • @SkyViewTraveler
      @SkyViewTraveler  ปีที่แล้ว

      For security manager, I am not sure as its not listed in allowed professions. Double check with Oman immigeration. If in case you are allowed to enter in Oman -- then no matter to take visa online or on border. Preffer Border visa in normal days -- But in public holidays apply online visa only as there will long qeues on border & time wastage. Hope it will help you.

    Camping is allowed in mountains? Can you tell me any location we can camp there night?

    • @SkyViewTraveler
      @SkyViewTraveler  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We never did camping in mountains and even we came back to Salalah city everyday before Maghrib so no idea about camping. In Moneoon season, camping is not safe in mountains areas as well.

Again, please check weather forecaste for Eid holidays as well. Eid will be more rushy, so you may not enjoy as uou are expecting. It would be over crowded. ❤️❤️👍

    Hi, What is Oman Orange Card?

    • @SkyViewTraveler
      @SkyViewTraveler  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sharif, its called Vehicle insurrance for Oman. If your insurranxe is not issuing Orange card, then you must take vehicle insurance from border.

    • @SkyViewTraveler
      @SkyViewTraveler  ปีที่แล้ว

      Starting October 1, 2011, UAE drivers are required to obtain an "Orange Card" from their insurance provider to show at the border when driving between the UAE and Oman.
      This is a service LeasePlan organizes free of charge for its clients and their staff.
      The Orange Card system is such that each member country has a Unified Insurance Bureau which deals with insurance claims arising in another country. The system comes from the 1975 Arab Insurance Card Convention which member countries sign up to.
      The Unified Insurance Bureau in the UAE is the Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC).

    • @SkyViewTraveler
      @SkyViewTraveler  ปีที่แล้ว

      HOW TO GET AN ORANGE CARD:
      Please submit a request for an Orange Card to LeasePlan Emirates here.
      ADNIC requires a minimum of three (3) business days to process each Orange Card. However, LeasePlan recommends its clients submit any and all requests at least five (5) business days prior to the traveling date.
      Once the Orange Card is complete and ready for collection LeasePlan will notify you via email or phone call.
      COLLECTION MUST BE DONE IN ABU DHABI AT THE ADNIC HEADQUARTERS BY THE CLIENT IN PERSON.
