    Thanks for the information sheets. I tried to get a person to hook up my Field damper but he said he would ONLY hook it up if it came with the boiler. In the north we get ALOT OF COLD - REAL COLD AIR COMING DOWN THE CHIMNEY making the lower level about 10 F degrees lower than the upper floor. This information might just allow me to hook up my own wiring. I came across a statement that 3 of the wires must be the same polarity - so I am guessing positive and the fourth different polarity. Please clarify which wire is the different polarity and where it is hooked to be different. I am guessing it is one of the wires on the transformer- but WHICH WIRE. Thanks

    Hi. Thanks for your videos.
    Is word the money this things? In Portugal i don't see this in any place. In your videos almost every boiler has vent dumper.

    hi Steve
    I'm working on a burnham boiler for a residential home. I did check to see if the pilot was on and it was I also check to see if the damper was getting voltage and i have voltage I can see the stem spinning to the open position on the damper. my question to you is the limit switch that's on the smoke pipe is in normally open on the off position without the heater running. I can hear my gas valve clicking like trying to kick on. I am really puzzle with this way I'm just wondering what are your thoughts are you help me out with the other one this one of different problem thank you Steve

    The properties I manage all use Taco zone valves, what's the reason for having pumps on every zone instead of one pump for the whole system?

    • @stevenlavimoniere
      @stevenlavimoniere  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nielubie seperate circulators make a better job . each pump runs its own zone

    Steve I just wondering where you get the numbers for the combustion analysis? I just bought one and I'm trying to learn how to use it. Thank you for any help you can give me.

    Hi Steve
    As always thanks for the videos. I've picked up quite a few tips from them.
    I had a question for ya.
    Got any recommendations on a WIFI thermostat?
    I've only got a oil fired boiler with 2 zones and 2 wires run to each thermostat.
    I know at the least I'll have to use a 24v adapter to power a fancy thermostat.
    Really want a wifi unit so I can control while I'm at work. The kids keep messing with them.

    • @stevenlavimoniere
      @stevenlavimoniere  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mavstang73 well a wifi stat needs a common wire ran to it .so you will have to run a new tstat wire. is the best way .some of the new ones can run on a battery i like a honeywell tstat my self. pick out the one you like .myself i would get a honeywell .

    and i havn't hurd any funny videos in a while, some of those would be nice.

    That's a reference folder of gold! Do you come across 120V dampers much? (I noticed the diagrams on your cheat sheet appeared to all be 24V control circuit units.)

    Forget the efficiency rating . If you can keep the boiler warmer between cycles it should reduce condensation on fire up .... just an opinion . You missed your calling ... Tech schools are looking for you .

    Always hated those things. Always a problem. The fact that they designed a bypass switch into it should be telling us something.
    I didnt know the efficiency gain was only 1% though, not worth the trouble in my opinion.

    • @stevenlavimoniere
      @stevenlavimoniere  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      jimmulti123 a lot of them i will just bypass ,its the owners call.if they want it changed out
