For those who would care, there is a Melodic Death Metal band that goes by Be'lakor and it's one of the best melo-death bands out there right now. They took their name from the same 40k character.
Me and my girl are making this deck because of the band. Can't wait to jam them in the back ground. Any suggestions on the deck? Also thinking about making a commander around the Amon Amarth card 😂
@@ianwinstead3130, I'm building one for the exact same reason, LOL. Plus, demons tribal is what I've been waiting for and in my favorite color combo. I have no idea how I'm gonna build it, though. I kinda want to build it around draining life but I'm still in the concept phase.
@@ianwinstead3130, on another note, I just read that Wizards collabed with Amon Amarth, Mastodon and several other metal bands during Kaldheim. No wonder I like the set so much.
I'm probably going to start with the command quarters list starting off then upgrade from there. I love the potential for this deck. As I am also a fan of the demon tribal deck but never wanted to make a Khalia deck. So this guy just first perfectly metal AF lol. Belakor needs to do an American tour soon. Kalmah needs to come back as well. Got to see Coal Chamber thought this weekend so that was great
Khadur Doomscourge is MVP he has brought so much chaos to our table when he sees play. Night's Whisper for Read the Bones because it is one mana cheaper but it has no scry. I suggest to run Aspiring Champion and then only Demon Creatures in your deck, its a banger if you sac him, get a 6 or 7 mana Demon and deal damage 2 times if Be'Lakor is out. Immersturm Raider is one of the very few cheap Demons and he lets you cycle a card and gives you a blocker that you sometimes really need in the early rounds. Also if you get Be'lakor out on t3 or 4 afterwards, you draw two cards instead of one. Kindred Charge clones your whole board and gets you a shitton of ETBs. Profane Tutor is one of the cheapest tutors, you pay it in advance, see how the board develops and fetch the proper demon to deal with the situation on t5 or 6 and have enough mana to play it. (all -2-2/-2-2 ETB or kill a creature ETB for example). Nightscape Familiar + Herald of Slaanesh + Herald's Horn reduce the cost of your demons by 3-4, depending if they are mono B or have R or U. Rakdos, Lord of Riots reduces their cost even further, sometimes only pay BB for a 6 or 7 mana demon. Also MVP when your commander costs a lot of colorless because you can easily deal 12 damage with two flyers in combat. I even run the fabricate promo to fetch for the Horn. This is a great deck to run Rakdos, the Showstopper as you are never affected by his ETB and it is extremely fun on the table because it is a gamble and not a "destroy all creatures boardwipe", my opponents are never salty, because they have a 50% chance of surviving, but even killing half the board is a super strong ETB. Again, not your stuff. Last but not least, run Rite of Replication as a finisher. Be'Lakor sees five demons with 6 power entering the battlefield, and each Be'Lakor copy sees the other 4 copies enter the battlefield. Even if they die to legend rule, you get their triggers, so it is 1(5*6)+5(4*6)=150 damage divided in multiples of 6. Enough to kill the whole table. All those cards are not super expensive, between 1 and 5 bucks, so a good next upgrade step after the cheap ones from the video.
At the moment I play him with Terror of the Peaks, a mass revival with enough Demons in your GY means a wipe. Also, Sneak Attack is a very good card with him because he only wants the ETB and one red for dealing 8 or so damage is really good.
Fill your graveyard with cards using Traumatize or Cemetery Tampering. Reanimate Apocalypse Demon, deal damage to face with repeated flicker effects on A.D. Using Raphael or Erebos' whip to give lifelink will also be a boon here too.
5:47 Hy Mitch, if you clone your Changeling Berserker and champion your Changeling Berserker the original gets exiled, if you clone your clone of the Changeling Berserker you have a loop. With one of the damage on etb cards, insta death for all opponents. Did made your tech in paper, will try out soon and hope to get good results, goldfish the deck aginst my other decks shows huge fun. So spectecular turns and sheer dominance, can´t wait to show this to my friends^^
It really feels like you could drop all your draw sources for more mana' seeing as having more mana allows your to either cast your commander again or play a flicker/clone effect that gives you his etb again, and he refills your hand himself.
Been building Tatyova, Steward of the Tides (the first lands deck/simic deck I've ever played) and Harvest Season seems AMAZING. Would EASILY be the golden pig 😂
Apologies if you’ve already done this, but I’d LOVE if you could do a deck tech around Door To Nothingness. It’s hard to find a budget deck that works with that card in mind, and I’m not sure what commander would work best with it. Love the content!
I’m building him rn and that’s exactly what I’m doing lmao I already have my spark double and fiery emancipation lmao it’s a little bit more tricky because a lot of demons have odd mana cost but eh it makes me have to get more creative lol

When you copy your commander with Reflections of Littjara and 2 other demons in play you would draw 6 not 8 cards since the token would be gone before the resolution of the trigger
Just a small correction, but if you have Reflections of Litjara, 2 demons, then cast Be'lakor you will draw 6 cards, and lose 6 life, not 8. Both Be'lakor's will enter the battlefield causing both of their abilities to trigger, but then you must immediately sacrifice one because of the legend rule. By the time the triggered abilities resolve they will only see 3 demons. This is the same reason you will not explode if you cast Rite of Replication on Be'lakor.
Almost correct. The copy of litjara comes into play first, counting 3 demons. Then the original enters the battlefield and you sacrifice one of the legendaries for the state based action, then the original also sees 3 demons. Rite of replication on your commanders means the original will have 5 damage triggers and the tokens have 4 damage triggers, which makes up for 126 damage. The card draw trigger is only 1 (plus the additional demons laying around) for each token.
@@mtgsus I was referring to the first ability on be'lakor, not the second. Rite of Replication will make 5 copies of Be'lakor, each triggering their first triggered ability. 5 Be'lakor draw triggers will go on the stack, but only one will be left because of the legend rule by the time they resolve so you will only draw 5 cards, and lose 5 life(if Be'lakor is the only demon you control.). The burn trigger is different, each Be'lakor on the battlefield will see each other Be'lakor enter dealing a total of 150 damage in increments of 6, not 124. The original Be'lakor sees 5 demons enter, so he deals 30, then each of the Be'lakors entering the battlefield will see 4 other demons enter dealing 24 each. Also in regards to the Litjara scenario, you described in more detail exactly what I said.
Just wanted to specify a bit more for the less experienced players out there. But 126 damage is not the correct number indeed, if you add 30 from the original + 5 times 24 ;)
@@mtgsus I'm sorry but you're still wrong. You get 30 from the original, then you get 5 copies of Be'lakor from Rite of Replication, not 4. Each of those 5 tokens see the others enter, but do not count themselves, so each deal 24. 24x5=120. 120+30=150. This math is objectively true ;)
@@chaosnight2006 you're absolutely right, my brain is working over hours lately, guess it crashed doing simple math 😅 for a strange reason I counted it as 4 tokens (instead of 5) in my calculations.

It may not be under a dollar its like $2 but lilianas contract is a MUST in this deck. You'll have so many differnt named demons the upkeep trigger will more than likely happen.
I agree that it will put a target on you , not necessarily your demons. Youll have so many demons that the likelyhood of not having at least four (one of which could easily be your commander). I think it will depend on the play group if a card like that will really make you a target though, because in alot of circumstances I think if someone has quick removal for sn enchantment its more than likely gonna be aimed at something higher on the radar like smothering tithe, rystic study, etc. Im not saying everyone needs to play the card, I'm playing it in my Be'lakor deck because I love the card. But I think if a player doesn't think they need it, that's 100% ok.
