You are correct my friend. I just close those vents when I need them. or I just angle up if really needed. Haven't had any issues yet. I've had it installed for almost 2 years now.
I have purchased one of these not too long ago for my E90 2010 I really like it I was able to get the front camera to work correctly The rear camera to work correctly and I can use it and utilize it for any of my movies or music that I can play on but when I shared it on the BMW form nobody not nobody not one person said it's it's okay everyone else didn't like it but I like it that's all that matters
Depending on the model I would have to agree. I some cases it may not be worth it to take out the factory head unit. Tesla, BMW, Mercedes and newer Cadillac would just be a few of those examples. It's still a great unit for many other different models (just trying to be honest) I would love to know what cameras you used though.

I just installed mine and the mounting was the hardest part. I soldered my wiring so connection is good. Overall I’m not impressed with the unit since there’s not a lot of customizable features on the screen. Also the mounting is horrible. Had to rig it to stay on 2 screws and there’s a gap on the bottom. I might uninstall because it would be too easy for someone to steal it. But good vid! Wish I saw it before I bought this thing lol
Make sure to go to your settings and set it to reboot after 1hr of car shut down or it will drain your battery forcing your alternator and potentially damaging both. It is set to "no reboot" by default that's why it fires up quick when ignition engages power. Also, couldn't delete those annoying songs! If you figure something out, lmk. Lol

@@dracgod yes. It'll kill your battery in weeks and may even damage your alternator. Most aftermarket radios tend to mess with the battery and electronics if not calibrated properly.
This shiit is 🔥🔥 The only downside I see is that it's blocking your vents, and that could become a problem in the winter time when you put on the heat. unless you choose not to have the heat come from the vents. That's why I can't get this version.
So I just bought this stereo off of eBay for $75 and mine actually has a subwoofer out mixed in with the audio and video auxiliary plugs it's a green one I'm also lucky I found this video because I'm installing it in the same car
Hi, i was bought 2 years ago same model. But now my multimedias phsicial button learning software was missing. So i cant reprogram mt buttons. And some buttons dont work. Forexample sel button is disable. Can you export and sent to me this program please. ( in playstore tools--> export installed peograms)
It's still working perfect. So many things you can do with this. I'm still finding things out. I do recommend going into the setting and making sure the deck turns fully off or it will drain your battery after sitting for awhile.
Man I have had this head unit on my mind for the last few months I just can’t seem to order it because I keep getting all mixed messages from all the customers. Half of them say they are cheap junk radios and others say they are happy. I have a 2006 Toyota 4Runner I want to install this in and think it would sink into the dash perfectly because around the factory radio there is a lip and the vents are on the out side edges of the radio with nothing in the way on top. Only thing I’m concerned about is mounting it correctly and being able to get inside behind it to screw it into the dash, also I am wanting to install some subwoofers later on down the line nothing big tho I’m thinking like 4 8” woofers or something along those lines. I love the regular head touch head units but I’m looking for something to give my ol’ 2006 a more modernized feel of technology in the interior. Wish there was more options of vertical head units but from what I have researched this is literally the only kind other then one or two others but they do not have a very pleasant look to them.
They do have different models. This is not your only option. It really all depends on the setup you have in your truck. It is not an easy install but it can be done.
Sometimes even when I turn off the tablet, then the very next morning I find the tablet on and my car battery is drained. Do you have any solutions for this problem?
I have the same one and I only get sound from radio like if I got to the app for TH-cam I get no sound same thing with the gps and if I hook my phone into it everything works but no sound what would cause it ? Do I need something else to hook into it ?
It's sounding like you do not have your factory amp wire connected to the stereo. Look for both amplifier wires to your car (ant power and amp power). just connecting the regular blue ant will only give you sound from the radio.
I did install it on my 2006 Ford F-150.Did have a hard time to mount it cause of the shape of the the unit it's not standard and you can not use a a standard double din adapter. It came out nice. What I'm having a trouble with is to navigation run cause it's asking for internet connection. I did buy a cheap navigation before and it was working independently with out internet connection. Am I doing something wrong
It depends on the app your using. They do have offline apps through the play store but google maps operates online. You can use google maps offline but you will need to be by Wi-Fi to download the map for the first time. Then you can operate without Wi-Fi.

Sorry you feel that way. I also feel that way sometimes when I don't know how to do or use something. But the unit has a split screen option, so not only does the rearview camera work great, you can also display front and rear cameras simultaneously. If you have an android you have to install the app.
Try and go into your phone under Bluetooth settings and make sure you have it selected for audio, calls and input to get the full function of the radio.
I have a Kia Rio (2013) I think one of these would look pretty good.. just a little bit ergh on the whole fitting and then adding the fascia back onto the dashboard so it looks factory.. Is there a way to have the unit powered to permanent power but be able to turn the unit off independently of the car? So I can have the car switched off but still use the radio if I want to..
Sorry for the late response but yes you can. You need to download Netflix from online as an APK first because it wont be on the play-store (for safety reasons.)

Yes It does have it's own navigation. you will have to go into the settings and download your maps first if you want to use the navigation offline as it doesn't have the maps downloaded to the deck. Your other alternative is to use an offline GPS app. I believe Wise is one of them?

@@BassGods I don’t understand why people can’t figure this out for themselves Amazon is filled with one star customers that complain because their vents are in the way, it’s pretty obvious if you have vents on top of your factory radio they are not just going to move just because you buy a new radio and need them moved.
I all depends on how much you spend and what you're looking for. They range from 59$ on up. If you're ok with just having a basic android interface and no subwoofer out or a 7-band equalizer and no xover. Then a 59$ unit would be for you. 85$ gets you the amp and controls. 125$ and up gives you a better processor and more memory.

Yes I do have a subwoofer and amp. It sounds great with the setup that I currently have. It you want to go deeper, you can add a crossover.

Yes. This unit will work for your Jeep. If you get the correct harness you will also be able to control some car functions.

Yes, but it would kill your battery pretty fast.
How to switch an AM Radio
Once you are in the radio section of the radio. Press the FM Icon on the screen and it should cycle you through the menus.

Just plug it in and It automatically goes to it. You can also select for videos or music from the music tab. Just select usb.

Sorry you had that issue. I was the same when I was a beginner at installing stereos. It's a craft and it take patience.
That should be a pretty obvious sign that you see before you purchase. There are different models for this reason.
