    I went to Cova Fumada thanks to your video and it will be one of my best memories from Barcelona. What a genuine place, what a vibe! I loved it! Stood at the bar as you suggested and the bomba was so amazing that I ordered a second one and didn't share! If I ever go back to Barcelona it will be my first stop! Please make more food videos! I trust your taste in food completely now!

    Enjoyed your comments on the food. I like the overhead map with routes to help with navigation. I tried to go to La Plata but it was closed in August when I was there. No problem , lots of choices and now I have more.

      Great to here that, Dave. You know how un-touristy a place is when it closes its doors in August, classic holiday time for Spaniards but high season in Barcelona at the same time.

    What?😅 Like… What are you talking about? 🫣 41€ for 4 drinks and various tapas is expensive to you? 😮 at first I thought you were joking but then I realized… you really mean that 😨
    Even in eastern Europe food snd drinks are more expensive. We just came back from Iceland and 2 cocktails there were almost 50€, so 41€ for a full meal and several alcoholic drinks feels like it’s free to me 😂🤭 jut great video and information my friend 😃 We‘ll be going to Barcelona this Saturday snd even before this video I pinned each of these bars on google maps, because they seemed so authentic to me when researching 🤭

    Hola Tony - I always come back to watch your great videos for Spain. Great info and very clear. Questions: (1) we are visiting Barcelona for 2 days in Sept and it crosses Sunday and I do find lots of places not opened on Sunday. I wonder if you would recommend some tapas or places to try close to La Sagrada Familia and Eixample districts. (2) If we are doing causal walk in the Gothic quarter, how much time would you recommend we spent? Gracias!!

We don't have any specific recommendations yet for tapas in the districts you mention, but our Barcelona self-guided tours include them travelguidesspainandportugal.com/product-category/barcelona/ For the Gothic quarter, between half a day and one day. have now seen several of your videos for Barcelona...apologies but we have but 2 full days to see Barcelona, before heading to the Camino de Santiago. In our travels we have learned that you cannot experience any city in so short of time. It is best to get a taste (pardon the pun) and be able to return to experience it more fully. So we plan the Sagrada Familia, and the Picasso Museum, and perhaps this 4 stop tapas tour. Any other tips for another one night tour for a different part of the city? near our hotel in Eixample? many thanks!

      Hi there, Bill. There are so many incredible places in Barcelona (we talked about the top 10 here th-cam.com/video/aDxZLuxGNH0/w-d-xo.html ) that it is just a question of picking a few to fill your schedule of Barcelona. If you visit places in the Eixample and Old City regions, the time you spend going places will be very small. A walk along the Passeio de Gracia, first, and then the Ramblas till you reach the sea, at the end of the day, sounds like a great program. Kind regards.

    Tony I am here I’m Barcalona with my family and using your video as a refresher almost daily and sometimes hourly. You have saved us many times. The one thing i am struggling with is at restaurants. When I arrive without a reservation for lets say lunch , do I just walk right up to the bar and asked to be seated? Sometimes they look at me like im not in the right place. Also when we are done eating should i ask for the check like in the US or do i just wait for them to bring me the check? This has been an issue for me as we sit there waiting sometimes and don’t know what to do.

    • @ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal

      Hi John, hope you're having a good time in Barcelona. When you enter a restaurant, always wait for a waiter or someone from the restaurant to lead you to your table. Just let them know how many of you are in the group. At the end of the meal, you should ask the waiter to bring you the bill. All the best.

    Another very nice video about Spain, thank you so much. We have been to Spain 4 times and love it more every time. But I need your help, I have a request - please do a video about Spanish night life. We will be in Sevilla for much of November, with side trips to Granada and Cordoba and we're looking for help on things to do in the evening.
    Especially dancing. Not to watch, watching stuff is boring, but to eat, drink, and dance. How do we find a venue with good food, a dance floor and decent dance music? We don't care what it is, Tango, Bachata, Salsa, Mambo, Rhumba, Cha Cha, Waltz, Foxtrot, Bolero, Samba, Swing, and more, we can do them all, some badly some not so bad.
    We'd even go to a country and western bar in Sevilla, were there such a thing, and dance the two step if nothing else was available.
    But where? Please help.

    • @ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal
      @ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @Fred_Z

      @@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal Very kind of you to reply. Night life wasn't my thing until 6 years ago at age 65 my wife forced me to learn to dance properly. Our idea of night life is rather sedate - have a meal, 1 or 2 glasses of wine, dance 4 or 5 times and be home in bed by 11PM. That's difficult in Spain because things often don't even start until 11 PM.
      In any event I love your videos and am sending links to all of our traveling friends. Keep up the good work and many thanks.
