While you are in the Port Augusta area if you have time you should do a lap of the Eyte Penisular startting at Streaky Bay and when you get back visit the Wilpena Pound area in the Flinders Ranges. Quorn is a nice little town and has a silo art show every night in the park if you are there on the right day the Pichi Richi steam train will be running from the Quorn Station. Make sure to viitit the distillery in Quorn if you like Gin - safe travels.
Hello and thank you! We did not have time to go to Quorn as did quite fancy the steam train and the Flinders Rangers but after Adelaide we did come back that way and down the Eyre Peninsula through Streaky Bay and carried on towards Western Australia. I have to say some of the scenery blew me away and was just spectacular. Those videos are coming up this week (I am trying to ut them out in order), just taking so long. This is the problem with doing a Road Trip on a tight deadline in that you just cannot fit everything in but just means I will have to come back! The Eyre Peninsula is definitely somewhere I could spend a lot longer exploring. x
Oh dear! Not a fan? I thought it was ok to stop at and break up the drive and I did enjoy the arid botanical gardens. We didn’t really have time to look further!

The most popular tourist attraction in Port Augusta is the road out of there 🤣
