As a disc dyer myself the part starting at 3:00 - what is the reason behind it? Keeping the moisture for longer so that it doesn`t dry too fast?
Yes. I placed the disc under the heater for a bit and the lotion mix tends to dry out pretty fast. If it's dry it won't dye so I use a cover to keep the moisture there for the time it's sitting under the heat.
