That's why it's called "HarmonyOS" because it allows many different devices to work together "in harmony". But all the videos on HarmonyOS are just looking at its UI. The UI is just ported from EMUI with some minor tweaks.

I am just upgraded to the new os and tested it for more than 2 hours and here is my feedback: 1 - Extremely solo (matter on 5 ms) 2 - Game too laggy( eg Pubg, everytime you launch it, OS recompile it from scratch, takes 1+min to open, even TH-cam takes 10-15 seconds to become stable compare to the old os(3-4 sec max)) 3) control panel don't work, only first time once you restart your mobile it won't happen. 4) High battery consumption. To sum up, it's really very bad.

It is actually a fork of Android based on the same Linux kernel as Android running the same Android APK apps. An operating system running mainly Android packages is Android. Even their .hap is has a renamed.apk so you old Android decompile tools can decode .hap packages because it's still Android but renamed.
The only reason I won't buy Huawei again is because they have the nerve to put ads in the App Gallery on a phone I paid for. It's not even a big problem, it just shows massive disrespect towards its users. I'll come back when they remove it because they have the best phones
I think, Huawei should make it possible to swipe from the control center to the notification center (and the other way around), like Xiaomi does in MIUI 12.5.
