    From the Depths is a super deep naval warfare game with a long campaign.
    The learning curve is very steep since you build your ship from scratch but seeing your baby blast the hell out of the enemy is truly satisfying.
    You can also build airships, airplanes and even tanks.

    • @Stealth17Gaming

      Definitely another good game! You can spend so much time to get the missile or shell *just* right for the target that you're facing. The survival mode was also a lot of fun :)

    UBOAT is a great game and actually is an underrated gem. The unstable beta branch (of the early access overall, very close to full release) is regularly adding many fixes and features the community wants, and is active with the community. I honestly think it will be among one of the best sub sims we will get, especially for a unmodded vanilla game, at launch. Even in early access there have been a ton of mods and it seems the devs support it. And if you don't like early access they have a deadline they are fast approaching for the full 1.0 release. Also it has a decent tutorial and lots of options to go from full "I do it all myself" realism to more casual play letting your crew do calculations and work as you manage the overall picture.

    • @SkywalkerWroc

      "unstable beta branch" is more stable than most of the 1.0 releases nowadays.

    Battlestations Midway is a good choice, but I would rather recommend Battlestations Pacific. The setup might be a bit tricky because it uses games for Windows Live but when you have it working it is such a blast to play the US and IJN Campaign and get all missions golded and receive new units. The various Missions and game modes it has are also a lot of fun against the AI. Additionally there are quite a mods which are quite nice.

    The sequel to Cold Waters should be out soon. It's called Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age. If you want to practice the controls and functions prior to its release I recommend Cold Waters. I have over 600 hrs in this game and don't regret a minute of it.

      It's not a sequel to Cold Waters. That would imply it's another sub sim and sub sim only. Sea Power is going to be closer to old Janes Fleet Command where you can control all naval assets, not just attack subs.

    • @gutstompenrocker
      @gutstompenrocker 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@gutstompenrocker You don't know what a sequel is then. If anything, it's a sequel to Janes Fleet Command or Harpoon. How you can't see the difference between a DEDICATED SUB SIM where you can only control ONE sub and real time strategic simulator where you can control whole fleets and several different unit types is beyond me. But, I guess you know better than everyone else on the planet who's been playing wargames for 40 years, and, who knows what the word "sequel" means.

    One thing missing: Rule The Waves 3 !! Its currently at 35% off and ultimate admiral kinda took the core idea oif this game, stripped down a lot of aspects and then put 3D. But dont be afraid of the visuals of RtW3, its an amazing game with such depth that you can get lost in it deisgning ships and organizing your force.

    • @EnglishScripter

      Rule the Waves 3 is a great game, provides a wide range of periods from 1895 to the 1960s allowing you to go from predreadnoughts through to missile boats and jet fighters. I'd say it trades graphics for gameplay when compared to ultimate admiral.

    Personaly I love this game, you take on lead of submarine on Europe (one of Jupiter's moon) and you fight various monsters in the depths.
    You play as one of crew members on that submarine captain, engineer, electrician, doctor or security officer on one of many, many submarines you can find in that game or in steam workshop.
    Of course you can play with friends, randoms or bots up to I believe 16 players, game is really fun to play and I strongly reccomend it to try, even through it's not standard naval game as games mentioned in this video.

    The inclusion of Command Modern Operations should mention that the small 3d window is a paid 3rd party add on, Tacview. The vanilla game does not include any such viewing option, since it's really a map based milsim, a version of which was used by the US to game out a possible US-Chinese conflict over Taiwan. @@Stealth17Gaming As far as I know there aren't any and it's a shame really. I know it's a niche idea and in all likelihood you'd have to incorporate it into a wider sim to draw interest.
      Off of the top of my head it would probably have to be staged in a relatively large open world map covering a coastal area. I imagine it would then need to incorporate coast guard along with other emergency services and perhaps even it to other areas such as logistics.

    one of these games have Kaga in it.
    Ah god, Battlestations Midway, however huge of a cardinal sin it was to list Kaga as an "Akagi-class", ugh, it's just.......ah....god........even thinking about that is awful. Ugh.
    It is still, the only game that has Kaga in it.
    (Battleship Kaga doesn't count, Stormworks can't run a ship as big as her, Wargaming nerfed her 200mm cannons to the ground, which I'll never forgive them for, and War Thunder does not have Kaga....yet.....but if things go the way they are going, we will have the Su-57 before the Bismarck......From the Depths....I guess that may also have Kaga. Anyways, the cardinal sin of most games either not having carriers, or only having US Carriers is.........annoying.)

    I personally can't recommend folks to buy Stormworks due to the poor net code for multiplayer, the lacklustre content updates, the over priced and poorly expanded upon DLC and the frustrating mechanic of the game at times such as aircraft and tank tread based vehicles. Whilst it has arguably the best editor for detailed crafts and the micro controller editor is not only its best technical feature but also the best when it comes to similar customizable vehicle function interactions, this game is very much a case of harsh learning curves, one time satisfaction projects and battling its confusing physics engine. If you do enjoy games like this then by all means enjoy it but after enduring over 1000 hours of playing this game, I can't recommend it to casual fans who enjoy games where you make your own custom vehicle for whatever purpose and play it, mostly in part due to the developers being effective amateurs in how they operate and provide content from ignoring community complaints and feedback, clearly not tested new updates or "Major updates" that don't function properly and minimal updates providing only a few fixes over a 2 week span.

    • @Stealth17Gaming
      @Stealth17Gaming  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Back when I played it I did notice the major updates having gamebreaking issues with them. I really loved Stormworks. Played it a lot. When they started adding weapons I felt the game betrayed its core of search and rescue. If it were up to me I would have loved if the devs stuck to that core and made more missions, more scenarios and a smoother multiplayer experience. Being able to build bigger craft and helicopters is great, but you can't really do everything alone.

    • @voin5371
      @voin5371 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Stealth17Gaming Honestly I was fine with them adding weapons since a lot of the community are young folks who enjoy playing about with workshop stuff or enjoy blowing stuff up compared to the other half of the community either being techno wizards and making insanely functional stuff or people who are really good at modelling in game.
      My biggest gripe though is the lack of replay value, beyond micro controllers and lua, a lot of the mechanics have very little depth to them, a lot of variety to explore different mechanics that partly meld together but very little depth to them in terms of exploration and optimization of design, making the complexity of the game not very rewarding after trying to learn it compared to say something like From the Depths.
      Personally the game is a great game to model stuff in high detail and if you can get it to work, even better and Microcontrollers are fun and a encouraging way to learn Lua, logic gates and to a degree, simple computer architecture, however the poor communication from the developers, lack luster updates, disappointing DLC that never gets touched on again, "Major updates" being broken on launch and overall, a very frustrating game at times to work with and enjoy, is why I don't recommend the game for people enjoy sandbox vehicle editors.
      Also nice to hear from you man, been loving your content for ages.

    I got Uboat for 10 bucks and i feel like i ripped off the devs and that's knowing the publisher is Playway... I never did get into sh3 due to its harsh save system and EAs hissyfit taking its games off steam, but I have put in a few hours in Dangerous Waters. I felt cold waters a bit flat and simplistic. Being able to take my uboat in... uboat, anywhere and do an acoustic check or even tune in a (admittedly repetitive) radio station. Makes it feel like i'm really in command of a vessel. Feels legit when I sniff out a target and do my own TMA to determine course and then ambush them. I did need youtuber Lite_ly salted's newer video on angle on bow to figure out the targeting direction tool was a toggle and that I was figuring out ownship angle relative to Target Ships Perspective - A tad counter intuitive but probably how it worked.) The cargo management adds a aspect often overlooked in games - since the age of sail a ships travel distance was limited to what it could carry. I got War on the Sea after seeing another friend who loves ships with 124 hours in it.
