I've been curious about the Elite for a while. I've seen many say they love them and some say they're overpriced/overrated. Coming from the HE1000se which is a detail a monster I'm wondering how the Elite would compare? I'd like to see something similar to a Tier list where it's a List of what a headphone are good with what Music genre's. I really think it is important for someone considering a headphone to know what their favorite music genre's are and what headphones would be the best for those genre's. I know that type list would not be easy to do... but it would be a lot more helpful than graphs and measurements type info blah blah blah Zzzzzzz..... many headphone reviewers give. From personal experience, something like HD 800s and HEKse are better for Classical Orchestral, SoundTracks type genre's(and Gaming)... RAD-0 Hard Rock, Metal, Pop Genre's, Autuer Classic- Great All Rounder for most Music genre's and master of none
Interesting idea! I've had some similar thoughts about trying to describe or visualize a given headphone's strengths and weaknesses. Maybe I can give that a go at some point. Regarding detail retrieval, I think the HE1000se is going to feel like a more capable headphone.
