I bought a Growatt inverter from them. I accidentally over amped it with panels burning the unit. I called to ask if they sold parts for the unit. I explained that the damage was totally my fault. They for free sent me a new charging board. This did not fix the problem. Get this, they sent me 2 6500 inverters so I could get my 240volts working again. All this for me making a mistake. Signature Solar in my opinion is the absolute best company to deal with. For a while they were short staffed on the technical end so hold time was long. You can't overamp it with panels. You over volted it (with panels) or something else entirely. Amps aren't "sent" they're "drawn" (pulled) it'll only do what it is max capable of.. if something is undersized and draws too much it'll hurt itself in that scenario

I was at the store about a month ago and they gave me full store credit on two inverters I had trouble with. I was stunned by how eager they were to make things right. So I bought a 6000xp that I haven’t any immediate use for,but do have plans. There was a guy there who had a lot invested in some Harbor Freight panels and separate charge controllers who was trying to make his Frankenstein system work. While they were trying to help him I couldn’t keep from butting in. I wanted to tell him to ditch the junk and start over but realized that was none of my business. I was impressed with how patiently the salesman listened and was able to get him what he needed to get the most out of the equipment he had. I recently ordered a bunch of solar equipment from Signature Solar for the system I’m building at my second home. I can’t say I relied on them for recommendations on equipment because I kind of already knew what I wanted, but their process for ordering was great. Items all arrived in good shape and well packed. For orders that had lead times, they were very responsive when I asked for updates and such. Personally, I can recommend them 100%
Just finished a solar mini split installation I purchased from SS. From ordering to start up the only problem I had was scanning the barcode on the unit to download the app. One phone call, problem solved. Thanks Signature Solar!
I've been with SS since 2020. I've spent (currently) 15k on all EG4 products. I am very pleased with the attention to detail I get from them. Everything from sales and tech to shipping has been a great experience. I won't even think about going anywhere else.a
8 months ago I bought the EG4 WP LB 12V 100AH battery to power my Garmin live scope, & two Garmin 12" graphs on the front deck of my Skeeter ZX250. Plenty of power, shipping was fast and the service was great.
I called Signature Solar to get a little more information on the EG4 Hybrid Solar Mini-Split kit. It was a Saturday morning, and no one answered, but I had a call back a short time later. She provided me with the information I was requesting. Several days later when I went to place my order, the order came back as the items were not in stock. I emailed sales and they provided me a quote for the kit with a different brand of pannels. I placed the order and it was delivered within a week. My system is up and running. I am very satisfied with their sales dept.
excellent video! im a regular customer. One thing i love about signature solar that they are the only one's that ship outside the usa im in the caribbean, and i have recommended 100 of customer to them.
I've worked for a number of different solar distributors over the last 25 years. It's super hard to make money in this industry and survive. I wish them all the best.
Just stumbled onto your video that got sent into my feed and it makes me happy to see that you guys found them to be a good company. I have been buying from them over the course of a couple of years - before they moved to the larger location. I started with Growatts and have moved up. I've found them to be very helpful and service oriented. I could see at times maybe some growing pains but feel they deserve grace for that. Growing a business isn't easy and has its challenges. I have been very happy with their products as far as all the EG items and my Growatts were fine too but really just like the EG platform. Its also nice that they are only about an hour from me.
The 120-240V EG4 6000XP is one inverter, that is capable of running 3000-6000 watts, depending on if you wanted 240Volts, or just 120Volts! It is that cool! EG4 6000XP Inverter is a hybrid beast of an inverter, and beats all other hybrid inverters made, thus far! And at $1400, is a great bargain! Thank you, Signature Solar! The EG4 Power Wall Pro 48V Battery Bank, at $3999, is also a great bargain, compared to buying 3 of the $1500 batteries that you would connect in series/parallel to achieve 48Volts! Signature Solar, again, is thee best dealer for that, too! I love SS!
Good info, Thanks! I believe Signature Solar does home generator/battery/solar installs in Texas, which may be where that 50,000 satisfied customers comes from. Oh, Congratulations 🎉 on your marriage!
I’ve spent $25,000 with them buying my system. They provide a great product. The customer service on the text Support side is hit or miss depending on which agent you get but overall I would recommend them.
I made 2 purchases from them and it was good experience . Will be buying again just wish they had a warehouse on the east coast for local pickup. The guy @8:57 I think he was thinking that you should overpanel the system probably since things like A/C run during the hottest part of the day.
Not everybody’s going to order a complete system. I’ve ordered parts from them randomly, wires etc, and I can imagine 50,000 people having done that since 2019. They seemed to be very busy a few years back when I needed to contact them but it sounds like they have hired a lot more people with the wait times you had.
Replicated purchase of EG4 system and solar panels recommend by Will Prowse. Signature Solar provides excellent prices and service for the solar community.
There is both good and bad experiences with Signature Solar. My complaint started when they offered free shipping, and when it was delivered I was charged to get the products off the FedEx truck. We called many times to resolve, but they did not resolve the payment. So I continued to say free delivery is to your address, but not off the truck! FedEx continued to send bills, and resorted to collections. After months of email and phone calls they finally paid the bill. There was freight damage to one of the server rack batteries and that did not go well either. We found that a replacement battery could be a remanufactured battery, and not NEW. We ended up keeping the battery than to risk getting a returned battery that maynot be new.
I have one of those Yellow 3K v2 and I wasn't seeing in the documents how to get my unit to allow me to change 3 settings. They emailed me saying I needed to put the unit in standby mode in order to change the settings. That process was buried in the manual but they did get me to a resolution, and then put the unit back into regular mode.
This is a great video of how I saw tech support change. However, if you dig for the person you need, you will find them. I don't think this is an excuse. But I did have to do a warranty RMA with many long time issues with my original inverter, and they were minimum hassle to fulfill. It was a store credit, but I did not ask for anything different because I was planning on doing my next order with them. Especially the support the gave me personally. I have called a couple times with them and I was disappointed from only a couple times out of these. And I would be glad to explain if they wanted to reach out. Over all B+ to A- now. on average.
they tried to rip me off, after retuening a bad inverter that only lasted 3 weeks and had to pay upfront for a replacement - I did not get a refund for 6mo's ! I must have called them 1000 times...
My experience with SS was not so good. During 2020-2021 (pandemic time) I purchased solar panels, inverter/charger and batteries. They charged me for delivery (initially saying it was free). The solar panels worked fine, the inverter/charger and batteries all failed rather quickly. It was like pulling teeth to get help and finally get reimbursed for the defective equipment. Would not want to go through that again.
Happy to have found your videos. I am looking at one of those mini splits they have on their site. It says it can be wired directly to a panel. Watched a video on it but have more questions. Maybe in the future you could review that. Thanks
Customer service was the worst experience ever. Took a week of elevator music to have them tell me there was nothing wrong with their system and I was hanging up on their answering system. Worst belittling experience ever. I went elsewhere to buy my system and am not the least bit interested in any of their products. Horrible service.
They had their problems only have to look at DIY solar forum vendor review but they do get resolved fast with EG4 and Signature's employees replying to their complaints. I choose current connected the owner is a regular on the forum and never seen one negative thread. When you sell that much always going to be a problem with someone.
2:31: 6000 watts a day! 😂. Next call please. (6 kWh's/day or 6,000 watt-hours/day) it's super important to get your units straight in this industry. Otherwise you might buy yourself a water pump that does 60 psi per day. 😂😂😂😂
I'm new to all this and my house is small 900 and my a/c is going out but furnace is newer. Can you give me in put what to buy. Or to because AC is expensive and so are the electric and gas bill?
Can someone help me out? I order about a year ago an inverter from them. Is not the only one I have bought from them. The inverter has become faulty as its MPPT won't start drawing/producing energy from the PV unless I reset the PV switch every single day. And if I get clouds it will get back to not generating energy until the PV is turn off and on back again. I have two lines of PV, different brand and it does the same with both, so is not the PV panels. Long story short, they had being having me in a go around and around for two whole months without giving me a definite answer on what they intend to do. The inverter is under warranty but I am in Puerto Rico. I guess becuase of the high shipping cost they are trying to get me tire and give up. They have not even asnswer my last two email and I have being very patience and haven't being aggresive or dirrespectfull but this has become absurb. I need advice into what I can do. Any consumer protection agency I can complaing to? What can be done when seller/companies don't want to honor warranties? Any advice I will appreciate it.
Wow! I can't believe you two guys actually sat around and said, "...let's spoof these folks and see if they are 'legit'...?" Where did you learn that behavior? What's the motivation fellas? This company is, by far, is one of the best customer service companies I've dealt with in 62 years of roaming the planet. I've now spent north of $15k with them, visited their facilities in Sulphur Springs and talked to their techs and sales people countless times - nary a problem - they have made my 12KW project completely DIY....safely! And discounted!! Please guys, focus on POSITIVE content. Watch a few videos by Kelly at SS and take notes. Take it from an old beat up fighter pilot/airline pilot.....be constructive.
Signature solar sucks. The only reason they answered your call is they know you have a u-tube channel.I have spent nearly 12000 dollars. With signature solar and have gotten 0 help.
We went to great lengths to make sure they had no idea who we were LOL. I'm not here to defend your bad service, its super annoying that you haven't gotten help... but when we call it doesn't say "The Solar Lab" on the caller ID ahaha 😂
Unfortunately, I had a similar experience a few years ago, so I have little trust in them. Was very difficult to return defective merchandise, so I feel for you.
I appreciate the video, but if you don't know enough to know what you need then I think you need to educate yourself more before purchasing. I needed 4000watts for my RV at 120v, so two 3000w was the only way to go.
I think trying to design a system over the phone is going to be impossible for anyone. Very few people are going to drop a ton of money on a full system on an out of a blue call like this. Most anyone is going to want to see someone design something in writing; there are just too many variables to pull stuff out of the air and cover everything needed in a quick phone call.
Hi! We offer our customers the option to visit our location and speak directly with our design team. Alternatively, we can arrange a call followed by email communication. Our team will use specialized software to create and share designs, making adjustments as needed to ensure your satisfaction.
How can I have faith in what you say? You "frequently recommend" Signature Solar in the past without any due diligence into a company you are just calling and talking too? I subscribed to your channel, but I am not sure how long that will last.
Don't buy from signature solar. I have purchased a 3000Watts inverter from them in feb this year. The unit fail last month they did not and do not want to replace my inverter. They are CORRUPT WHEN COMES TO WARRANTY. The company started in 2018 the owner is young and immature. DO NOT BUY FEOM SIGNATURE SOLAR!
I ordered with the second sales person in the video. He guided me to "what is in stock" because my first criteria was that it needs to arrive within 14 days of order. 8 days later - still nothing has shipped. I called him again after day 7 and he said shipping was delayed because of 1 holiday within those 7 days. Day 8 I called again and had the first lady from this video on the line. She was friendly and told me that the inverter on my order is not in stock, but on back-order. So, unfortunately I had to cancel my order with her. My advise: Call their sales number at different times until you have this lady on the line. She knows what's going on, is friendly and is straight forward. A second note: Their Aptos 370W panels have a different spec PDF on their web page then Aptos factory on theirs. Mounting holes 600mm versus 990mm. When I ask the male sales person about which is correct he did not know. When I ask him if someone at the warehouse can measure it, he answered NO. I should instead contact Aptos.

You don't state whether you contacted Signature Solar or the manufacturer. This sounds like a question for the INVERTER MANUFACTURER.
I don't like being lied to... your referral code says you lied in a huge way.
This has not been our experience.
Unfortunately, I had a similar experience a few years ago, so I have little trust in them. Was very difficult to return defective merchandise, so I feel for you.
Call Santan solar
I get diy battery kits from Aliblabla.
Bonus points should be given just for the TX accent.
You know, insisting, for no apparent reason, to call the other guy "tiny baby" is kind of gay, even for a pencil neck.
I disavow.
I appreciate the video, but if you don't know enough to know what you need then I think you need to educate yourself more before purchasing. I needed 4000watts for my RV at 120v, so two 3000w was the only way to go.
Texas is sketchy. None of the images show up in my browser.
They have the worst customer support and tech support.
Did they warrant your inverter, or did the manufacturer? If only the manufacturer warranted the product, then it's unfair to go after anyone else.
