Darth Grogu, huh? Interesting idea, but I don't think we can necessarily say that everything Grogu does is selfish. Why'd he heal Geef when that wyvern -like critter attacked him? Yeah, he thinks of himself. He's a little kid, all little kids are Sith until they reach a certain age, and Grogu is at that level. I don't see Grogu going darkside (and why is it that every non-Jedi Force sensitive automatically becomes a 'dark sider'?). If he did, he'd be much older and if it occurred in the sequel era, why wasn't this terrible Sith mentioned in Rise of Skywalker? Surely the Force Ghost of Yoda would have said something to Luke in The Last Jedi if he knew there was a young Sith growing in power. Obviously, Grogu is something special, but I think what might occur is that he could be the catalyst to form a Mandalorian order of Force sensitives. Not Jedi, not Sith, but a new order.
So ive thought of this, but not in this context... Ive thought that Grogu could redefine 'force users' and have them become foundlings to learn the force. It lets them avoid the sequels era, it lets them have force users seek out Mandalore to 'become jedi' instead of being captured by a religious order of magic monks as babies... gets mandalorians reunited, and more. So they could use this to avoid the sequels, but in the long run, not JUST being another place where force wielders could have been besides whatever comes of Rey's jedi order. But become a rival order or rival "WAY" of being jedi... and who would be the fanatics?? Rey's order who barely has direction as to HOW to jedi-train, or Mando-jedi who use mando-philosophy and exclaim 'THIS IS THE WAY' before launching you across the room!! Frankly, both sects would be learning from scratch... *SIDENOTE* I found a funny indy cartoon short of teenage Grogu with mando armor, piercings and tattoos, talking backwards and being all emo/angsty @ the dinner table. If was just funny as commentary on what to do when he speaks... but I gotta say, what you proposed reminds me of that, and has a lot of appeal! TL:DR however they treat this in the future, there are some great stories they could tell if theyre prepared!
I've come to the conclusion that Rey should be the big bad. She killed Plapatine as he asked, "is all the jedi", and extinguished the Skywalker line. Make her a corrupted demi-god
Disney has already shown that they've no clue how to do a villain, they had to bring back Vadder, I mean kylo and Palpatine, I mean Snoke, hocus pocus BippittyBoppittyBoo no it is Palpatine " I made Snoke with my first order limited edition etch-a-sketch with companion novel how to corrupt a Skywalker and Rey Palpatine-Skywalker's #1best selling how too book : My parents were drunks who sold me for drinking money,f I can be a Mary-Sue so can you.
I can see him as someone who lives in the thin line between light and dark. Like Bendu. Like... Someone who would feel to the dark side during a fight... But coming back right after. But perhaps not always and sometimes be a menace. Anyway, thanks for the debate, guys! 😊 Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Didn't Mace Windu have a fighting style that was as close as you could get to the dark side without going over? I'm going off fuzzy memories from an old card game here... Anyway, Grogu could become a fearsome fighter like Windu. Someone who doesn't really do "mercy," he just presses his advantage right to the end of the fight. It's so weird imagining Grogu with the Darksaber. It would be like a broadsword for him, almost as long as his adult body.
Bendu can stay on the edge because he just wants the kids off his lawn. When it's easier to co-operate, he'll do so. When it isn't he throws a tantrum. The moment you get someone more ambitious the temptation of the Dark Side grows rapidly.
GAH! This was your best theory ever! I love it! I mean, Grogu becoming the Mandalore is inevitable to me, but being on the dark side is sooo much better!
The only problem is that grogu was old enough to undergo training at the jedi temple. So he was deemed able to understand the training and giving up attachments and everything. So I think he knows what he is doing more often than not. Luke and ahsoka don't treat him as a child. They know he knows better. Plus if Mando can't break him of the way of the toddler, if he allows him to continue this way, the dark side is inevitable.
considering how huge is his life spam, anything goes about him.. all kinds of twists and turns can take place.. he already gave enough signs that he can go nasty, but he also can force heal (which I personally hate but it's there and is extreme light let's say)... nevertheless, one thing that comes to mind is he turning into a creature like the Bendu, on his own right... has an immense lifetime to go deep into both sides of the force other than jedi or sith.
Hmm... I've been convinced for a while that now that we're going to see Anakin Skywalker spare Grogu's life and maybe even give him an escape route. This theory could be *_why_* he does so. If he senses the child's destiny in the dark side, wouldn't that also make perfect sense. Oh and we saw Grogu use force choke once... who else was fond of that particular trick?
I think a Dark Side Grogu could be fun, but I can't see it happening, maybe becoming a Jedi Mando would be more like it. Also interesting how selfish Grogu is but any young child or baby is, even when you tell them no they do it anyway. As he gets older and is taught how to behave and even in the future he will train to be a Jedi
It would be awesome long form storytelling if that was the endgame (Grogu as some sort of dark side chosen one trojan horse). However, I would differ with respect to power levels. Palpatine is the most powerful Sith ever, and I'd put Luke at most powerful Jedi ever. I don't think anyone touches those two, even Yoda/Grogu.
Legends Luke would definitely be the most powerful jedi, but canon Luke’s power is vague when it comes to how he compares to other jedi like Yoda and Windu, Whereas Yoda did tie with Palps so there’s nothing to suggest that Canon Luke surpassed Yoda as far as I know (which isn’t much since I haven’t read the comics and haven’t watched power scaling videos lol)
Well, he did use Force Choke on Cara Dune that one time (but is Choke a true Dark Side ability, or just focusing the Force Push on the throat?). It would be interesting if he went Dark Side, but I don't think he'll stay there, if only because he makes too much money, and they want to keep the 'Good, Light Side' Grogu.
In order for Grogu to go dark side...🤔 I think something would have to happen to the Mandalorian maybe he gets killed at the hands of another Mandalorian sect. It would be Anakin story all over again... Just what the different species. Like for instance when Grogu Force choked Cara dune when he thought she was attacking Mando while they were arm wrestling.... Something like that. 🤨🤨
Grogu did use the force to heal Greef Karga in season 1 and help save Din from the mud horn. So there have been a few instances of him using the force for good. But you are right that more often than not it’s for selfish reasons
Leia Organa is the most powerful Jedi ever. 🤔 She could fly in space and do the Force mirage within out the need of the Force boosting meditation rock thing.
This is an interesting idea, FAR more interesting than most of the storytelling that is coming out of Disney. I like the idea, Dinn doesn't take over the rule of Mandalor... Grogu grows up spoiled and increasingly angry because he wanted to be next in line to rule... and finally when he comes of age he decides to 'take his rightful place' and lead a united Mandalor to conquer the galaxy... ooOOoo... :O
I think we're going to start seeing the outside of the "jedi" and the "sith" between Ahsoka and Grogu. Ahsoka still follows the teachings of the jedi more or less and even said that she cannot teach Grogu due to his attachments. So Grogu being a mandalorian may lead to a third sorta force sensitive organization.
Nicr theory. Grogu going "Darkside" but the whole egg and biscuit stealing is just a gag and Grogu being a cheeky bugger and i iniw we've seen him force choking Cara Dune which is a dark side ability. But dude hes just learning i highly doubt its the start of his decline to the "Darkside of the force "(cant do that phrase without doin a Palps voice to myself😂😂)
@@mpnuorva I always felt like this was a nod to Luke instinctively using the force: It's not impossible. I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home, they're not much bigger than two meters.
In psychology it is documented that unchecked spoiling brings rise of tyrant. At the same time Din is role modelling to follow creed which could act as counter balance in some way? Is Din even capable to checking Grogu who can force push him or choke...Will be interesting to see this characters development
I remember Grogu force choking Cara Dune because she won against Mando in a card game. Grogu going to the dark side would be interesting, but I'm not sure that they'll do that
I think Grogu is the next Ankin character and that would be a very cool turn of events for the Stars Wars Stories going forward. BUT, No Yoda was not the most powerful Force User in Canon that would be Sidious, even Canon Vader and "Legends Luke" would have surpassed far beyond Yoda simply based on their ability to not be so regimented in a system like the Pre-Empire Jedi order was. Palpatine/Sidious defeated Yoda in single combat and Yoda ran away because he knew he could not win and Sidious was stronger and grew even more strong as the fight went on.
I'm seeing Dark Grogu enslaving the Frog people to harvest eggs. Also, what if Grogu is a clone of himself with some Palpatine mixed in as part of Palpatine's "immortality" project.
lol interesting theory :) I think if disney did have the gaul to make grogu fall to the darkside it would be sooner than later so they have an excuse to send him back to Luke. personally I think of Mando as a knight in shining armor type who could become like king Arthur. if he becomes ruler of Mandalore, like king Arthur, he is gonna need a trusty wizard at his side. a force wielder like Grogu. i think when Mando dies grogu will return to the jedi order, if there is one around.
This doesn't really make a lot of sense in the context of the story; maybe if something happens to djin, I can see him doing some things, he did start force choking Cara at one point, but he's just using the force in a very neutral way, without being consumed by his passions.
Love your guys' videos, my favorite star wars content on TH-cam. I think maybe you're missing a bigger piece. We were introduced to Vader in is redemption story, and then we were supposed to accept him as a cute, innocent kid in the phantom menace (honestly, I always thought we should have seen Ani kill someone in the podrace to foreshadow his fall) but but we're I think this theory really could be awesome, and so true star wars, is letting us see his fall to the dark side, then eventually redemption. Which frankly, star wars cannon has never really shown us.
It would be so sad to see a force sensitive to lose their power like what happens to the skywalkers/force sensitives in the Chiss, let alone a member of Yoda’s species losing their abilities.
I like Dinn Grogu the boy king in like 150 years. A new Sith threat has emerged in the galaxy, (and no its not Palpatine) Din G comes with other mandalorians who are still scattered about the universe, that he met with Dinn Garrin during his adventures with him, if they want they can include other force users, defeat the new sith threat, with the republic, and let Dinn G, gets the crystal of the dark saber and he builds his own lightsaber. Imagine Dinn Grogu meeting the Bindu.
Grogu also force choked Cara Dune. I do like your theory and it does have ground. We have to see him grow, I'm tired of baby yoda cooing. I want progress, I want epicness. You have many good points ! He's spoiled rotten ! Dewit!! He'll use the force to tame the Mythosaur, uniting Mandalore under his rule. That's what's coming. Darth Jar-Jar would be nice also!! We need some Gungan redemption somewhere come on !
I mean Grogu had a traumatic childhood witnessing order 66 and all then was raised by a warrior culture with a lot of attachments, it’s hard to imagine him not becoming anything other then a Grey Jedi or Sith
Why can't he just be a darkside using Mandalorean. No lightsaber just blasters and Mandalorean weapons and armor. Might be scarier than any Sith or dark Jedi.
@Thorskywalkerplus. The no attachments is a stupid reason too because LUKE HAS ATTACHMENTS. He choose to save his friends. He knew his father still had good in him and wanted to save him. Those are ATTACHMENTS DISNEY! They never remember the previous movies and they get it wrong!!! P.S. the only reason Grogu is back, is to sell toys. I think it was a mistake to bring him back so soon.
So it makes sense and it would give it a little interesting that Grogu can become the Dark Yoda in this new new sequel that they are 100% going to make someday. Probably in the year 2040
I have had the theory since half way through season 1 that Grogu is "the mandalorian", not Din or anyone else. Dark side, not so much, but it's a good theory and if he does end up pure light, they're building his character the wrong way
A very intriguing idea but I would be very surprised if Disney ever does it. If they do, it had best be well past the ST era as I want nothing to do with that travesty.
I don't think this theory is possible (and not because of Disney...!) Anakin became Vader because the Jedi practically wanted to force his attachments out of him, not because of his attachments themselves. Actually exactly due to his attachment to his son, he finally killed the Emperor. Luke let Grogu return to Mando so he wouldn't do the same the others did to his father. Probably he wanted to try something different for a change, let someone with such powers have a normal life and not force a monk's life upon them. And yes Mando is probably not the best father in terms of teaching his kid manners but he is not the one actively spoiling him and he loves him. And it's not like the Mandalorians are a self-indulging culture. They are taught to hide their faces from everyone and put their fellow people above all. There is some discipline and humbleness there. Grogu will always be in the grey area in my opinion which is the most realistic. To be honest I think he defines a bit of a new era where there are no exact rules for the dark and bright side, either. Grogu left the Jedi for his father. Mando took off his helmet for his son. Following or not rules of society, religion, culture doesn't automatically make you good or bad. It all comes down to love, people and their choices at any given moment.
Interesting theory but what about Grogu's age? He's 50 right now which is approximately 5 yrs for a human. Din may live another 50yrs, with Grogu then at 100. At what age is he considered an adult? Would you want a 10 yr old ruling the planet or the clan? And Luke can't be against attachments since according to cannon, he has a wife, Mara and a son.
Damn, the way you describe spoilt, selfish Grogu, it's as if you're describing my cousin's 8 year old. What a disobedient, self-important little brat he is! Every naughty or rude thing he does, everyone's like, "Aaaw, bless him" and making excuses for his behaviour! He's definitely going to be a bully in a few years too. I foresee it!
You bring up super valid points about Grogu and his potential to turn to the dark side! And we've never seen him show some kind of compassion towards another being so far! Would love it if the show addressed his selfish attitude because he's growing up and won't be a child forever.
Technically he did show compassion in season 1 when he used the force to heal Greef Karga when they are attacked camping the night before retaking the city.
I think that would lead to another Mandalore Civil War. There will always be "Mandalore for Mandalorians" like Pre Vizsla that will not bow to a "Foundling". However, I think this idea shows more imagination then the current story group has.
dzamnnn, I never thought of that possibility lol. Yes, all the Red Flags are there, but we don't see them as such, cause Baby is cute lol......but I doubt they'll (Disney) go that road, but if they will ?!!! it's gonna be genius !!!
Your overlooking one if the greatest motivators of all. They kill Dinn, and Grogu goes dark in rage and anger. We've already seen he's not above violence when necessary. He force choked kara dune for crying out loud. You really think of he saw Dinn die and couldn't stop it, that he might not snap, even temporarily? 😏
Just realized Mando is Aragorn and Grogu is Arwyn... in so far as a mortal king will die before his long lived companion.. and Grogu choosing this dog's lifespan over elves/jedi
It is my belief that not only is it possible, it is probable, nay INEVITABLE that grogu turns darkside. *NOT* becoming a sith. But the mandalorian creed does not align in anyway with jedi beliefs. In fact, they have more in common with sith code albeit not as evil or selfish. But i would argue that this has even already been hinted at. In book of boba fett, Din and the armorer are talking about the jedi code. And Din remarks that the jedi code is the complete opposite of the mandalorian creed... that loyalty and solidarity are the way. He may not become a sith, but he will inevitably use the force for mandalorian reasons. And mandalorians are not always good guys.
What I don't understand is Luke and Ahsoka trying to train Grogu in the old fashion jedi way with no attachment and all. Luke was never taught that way by Yoda, so are we assuming he learned this teaching style from a jedi temple he went into at some point. Luke even had attachments in his sister and close friends, Han and Chewbacca, so why does he think attachments lead to the dark side. I mean Luke even went on to try and train Kylo Ren, so he at the point of The Mandalornian and The Book Of Boba Fett still has attachments. Aslo, Ahsoka chose not to be a jedi because she thought she could do better outside the jedi order, so why does she think Grogu's attachments are bad. Is it the idea that Anakin's attachment lead him to the dark side, so even though she doesn't like the jedi way she might think it to be the best way to teach Grogu. All of this seems like lazy writing from the people behind Mandalorian and The Book Of Boba Fett. They wanted to have Ahsoka and Luke involved, but obviously not too much, so they use the classic "You can't be with your family to be a jedi because attachment leads to the dark side," but forgot how neither of the two people they are making speak these classic jedi tropes believe in said tropes. What do the rest of you guys think, maybe Thor Skywalker could make a video analyzing this contradicting situation.
Big twist at the end of season 3... Din Jarin gets injured in battle and cannot continue. Grogu grabs the dark saber and lays waste to everything in sight. After the battle has ended, the Mandalorians choose Grogu as their new leader, because he wields the Dark Sabre.
At some point Grogu is going to want to seek out his own people, and this will determine his choices as an adult. So far this is not a choice he has been given. He has no idea about how an adult of his species is expected to live. Just a standard of Jedi behavior, and basic Mandalorian creed.

Never imagine that they’ve put any more thought into this walking prop than what you already see.
I've come to the conclusion that Rey should be the big bad. She killed Plapatine as he asked, "is all the jedi", and extinguished the Skywalker line. Make her a corrupted demi-god
Eating that lady’s eggs and choking out Cara Dune were clear instances of dark side behavior.
It's so brilliant, Disney will never go for it.
Crazy talk is gooooood!!
#GroguistheMandalore
Im so down with this.
Stay safe there with your family!
@Kevin_Street Yeah, I guess I remember something like that indeed. You're probably correct.
I am more on board with thie idea.
Right! Glad you like the theory.
All the more reason they should split the timeline. That way the cutesy Grogu could always be relevant for the merchandising.
The child's sacrifice will not be in vein for it has brought back the ONE TRUE EMPEROR
Grogu is a toddler. He is impulsive and hedonistic as all toddlers are. “ I want what I want when I want it!” The cry of children! 😂❤
Send Grogu to Mortis, where he can be the Guardian of the Force.
considering how huge is his life spam, anything goes about him.. all kinds of twists and turns can take place.. he already gave enough signs that he can go nasty, but he also can force heal (which I personally hate but it's there and is extreme light let's say)... nevertheless, one thing that comes to mind is he turning into a creature like the Bendu, on his own right... has an immense lifetime to go deep into both sides of the force other than jedi or sith.
I am more on board with this. Let's not repeat Anakin/Vader.
Dark Saber is kinda big even for a fully grown Grogu. I’m skeptical.
Thank you very much - you've managed to make Grogu creepy. ;-)
It would be fun to see him a dark side user.
I do not see Grogu becoming full dark side but came close, I could be wrong but in legends Qui Gon came close.
I'll be honest, I'm pretty tired of every Jedi under the sun turning to the dark side. It's practically become a Star Wars trope.
THIS! ☝️
Grogu did use the force to heal Greef Karga in season 1 and help save Din from the mud horn. So there have been a few instances of him using the force for good. But you are right that more often than not it’s for selfish reasons
curious to see what you guys think about the neew stuff that Jon said about the timeline of Mandalorian and BoBF today
Grogu is gonna get offed by Luke in his sleep
Leia Organa is the most powerful Jedi ever. 🤔
She could fly in space and do the Force mirage within out the need of the Force boosting meditation rock thing.
Now that's a good storyline in fact that storyline is better than than the 3 Disney star wars put together because it makes sense
"Your Grogu Snoke theory sucks"
While Din doesn’t know anything about the Force, teaching Grogu the Mandalorian code of honor could be what keeps Grogu on the lighter side.
This is an interesting idea, FAR more interesting than most of the storytelling that is coming out of Disney.
I like the idea, Dinn doesn't take over the rule of Mandalor... Grogu grows up spoiled and increasingly angry because he wanted to be next in line to rule... and finally when he comes of age he decides to 'take his rightful place' and lead a united Mandalor to conquer the galaxy...
ooOOoo...
:O
Great point about Grogu’s behavior. Very much could be foreshadowing a fall to the dark side.
I think we're going to start seeing the outside of the "jedi" and the "sith" between Ahsoka and Grogu. Ahsoka still follows the teachings of the jedi more or less and even said that she cannot teach Grogu due to his attachments. So Grogu being a mandalorian may lead to a third sorta force sensitive organization.
so you guys are saying grogu is gonna go into goblin mode?
Just don't feed Grogu after midnight!! #GremlinsTheory
There is no way he goes full dark side.
Also I feel that both Luke and Anakin unconsciously used the force when they where young
Anakin is confirmed to have done so in epI. Both EUs at least toy with the idea with Luke.
@@mpnuorva I always felt like this was a nod to Luke instinctively using the force:
It's not impossible. I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home, they're not much bigger than two meters.
All maniacal despots we're once someones little angel.
Can't agree more, "gonna be the best villain since Vader" (and the emperor). I love this idea! Do it!!
Not that I want this to happen but, I've always thought the title , The Mandalorian, referred to Grogu.
I too wonder if the title could have that meaning.
As soon as he did his first forcechoke I have been rooting for him to go darkside from the go!
"Mandalore, I am. Ruler, I shall be." -Grogu, in like 80 some odd years
I could see Grogu being like the Bendu instead of going totally dark side.
First video I’ve seen from this channel just wanted to say y’all are hilarious very entertaining video
There shall only be two Sith... Din Grogu and his apprentice Jar Jar.
I think it was a mistake to bring him back so soon.
god... his species do live almost a millenia.. a force wielder ruling the mandalorians for a millenia.. thats a pretty terrifying concept
That theory would totally subvert expectations.
What would happen if Grogu it’s killed in the Mandalorian Season 10 finale? Won’t happen of course but can you imagine that?🤣
So it makes sense and it would give it a little interesting that Grogu can become the Dark Yoda in this new new sequel that they are 100% going to make someday. Probably in the year 2040
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Grogu could go dark. It would definitely be an interesting story to tell.
Grogu can do anything he likes!! Whatever path he chooses Im behind him!!
Grogu will eventually be the Dumbledore of some far future Jedi academy.
@@mk80. oh you're right! I forgot about that one!
@@zs8118 It is a small moment in the whole series, I only remembered after just re-watching those episodes recently in anticipation of the new season.
I think that would lead to another Mandalore Civil War. There will always be "Mandalore for Mandalorians" like Pre Vizsla that will not bow to a "Foundling". However, I think this idea shows more imagination then the current story group has.
His son is older than him line got me lol
dzamnnn, I never thought of that possibility lol.
Dew it & have Thor oversee & advise Dave & Jon doing it, & Naboo's got clever ideas too I'm sure.
At some point Grogu is going to want to seek out his own people, and this will determine his choices as an adult. So far this is not a choice he has been given. He has no idea about how an adult of his species is expected to live. Just a standard of Jedi behavior, and basic Mandalorian creed.
“Palpatine voice” Do it!
