This guy is a legend. I remember watching him all the time when I was 8, I would practice parkour outside with whatever was avaliable. Even though I sucked at it he motivated me to go outside and see what my body was capable of. Now I'm 17 entering my senior year of hs 👍

One of my strategies for learning this is to do it with a piece of chalk in my hand, and when I reach my peak, I draw a big mark on the wall (private wall, not vandalism). Then, the next time, I try to see if I can make a higher mark. Eventually I just get higher and higher as my technique improves.

You can learn wall runs on anything vertical. Just as mentioned in the video every wall is different, so a tree is just a different wall that you have to learn how to adapt to in learning wall runs. Brick Walls generally tend to be grippy if they aren't glossed over with a finish.
The wall run and the roll is the two things I want to learn most! Thank you!

It will help you with the horizontal wall run, but not really with the vertical.
Well, I'm 32 and have incorporated parkour into my workout. It's rough, I'll not tell a lie, but it's a blast!

After some training, I can finally do this move,
but for higher walls I have to run with more power and
that makes my shins hurt badly.

I was 12 when I started I wasn't good but over time I got great so just keep trying and don't let anyone tell you different
Any running shoe is great. Just make sure it has thick hill, and good grip.

I was about 1 3rd of the way through this video, and decided to take my dog on ANOTHER walk (I have been taking her on walks alot now since I realized she loves to free run and even though she can't go up the bigger walls like I can, she still gets up the smaller ones with me.) and I ran up the biggest wall I could find a few times, but one time both me and her were on there and I jumped down, and I thought she would stay up there... NOPE.AVI. I heard a weird scratching noise and looked behind me and she had jumped onto the concrete sidewalk.... epic dog is epic.

Ye I watched the devinsupertramp or something like that and I was like man if I could do dat my friends would be so jelly, now I know that they do all sorts of parkour like double flips and stuff but really wall,running is the key to parkour

I'm 12 too and i'm really good at parkour but i'm tall, and whenever I try this my legs are moving in air without a control, so they pull me back and that is allways causing that my neck is being on ground first. But, I FINNALY MADE THIS YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!

I was shorter back then now I can do about 6.5 feet. I'm 5'5 at the moment

Tip:When going up to a wall jump and put your leg on a good height. Let your leg boost yourself. Then rea h your hand high. When hand is on the top let your leg keep yourself up and you need strength to pull yourself up. Like this comment please. I'm only 9 and I might be right about what I just said!

Then you could probably do a 6ft one. But if you lose the weight than you can go higher :)
It doesn't matter on how 'fat' you are. Matters on if you have the speed and strength to lift yourself up.
I have the same problem, well used to have the same problem. But, the three things to remember when learning parkour include mind over matter, which means think you can do it and try. And if you can't, go under conditioning. Train and exercise that weight off.
It's harder in real life!
Its hard but easy to power through and conquer your fear if you've a strong will
