her coloratura are a matter of taste if they please you or not. i personally find them ultra cool. unique sound, almost digital precision and execution. remarkable. and her dramatic higher register has so much cutting power. i love it.

She sang coloratura with the coup de glotte-technique. It may not be to everybodys taste, but I like the distinct, separate notes she is able to sing thanks to this.
Cristina Deutekom tiene una gran voz,pero le falta actuación, que es algo que sí tiene Diana Damrau y otras reinas de la noche. Sea como sea la emoción y los entimientos también se transmiten mediante la actuación no sólo por la voz. Al menos eso pienso yo.
@@Unbuendinosaurio No concuerdo del todo, ya que no sabemos el tipo de dirección que le dieron, recordemos que fue en los 70’s tal vez la visión que tuvo el director era de transmitir frialdad, inexpresividad. Las otras reinas me imagino que tuvieron otro tipo de dirección, más teatral, más actual, más fluida, en fin, todas las opiniones cuentan y se respetan. Como dicen para gustos, colores. @@jullsmars Tienes razón por esa parte y eso sí, Deutekom expresa la frialdad que lleva su papel, a mí me gusta más la actuación de otras en esta aria porque siento que al verse como muy sufridas por el " secuestro de su hija" pueden engañar al príncipe Tamino, recordemos que ella al principio le dice que Sarastro es un hombre malo y todo eso, así que a Reina se hace la buena persona y sufrida, ya en Der Holle Rache ella deja ver sus verdaderas intenciones y ahí cabe como anillo al dedo la actuación de Cristina Deutekom, pues como tú dices ella deja ver esa frialdad con la que le habla a Pamina

Preferible escuchar ese ga ga ga que la embarrada que dan todas las demás sopranos en ese pasaje que no se distingue con nitidez cada nota, o el clásico jo jo jo.
