Will the plants know the bench theyre sitting on is crookerds? Don't think so. 😄 Thanks for allowing us to hear the sounds of birds and busy work rather than canned music. It's heavenly!
I love to watch gardening stuff. I know Angela is really ready to get her hands dirty and plant delicious and beautiful things. The boys really came to the rescue today. Two strong and helpful sons. I'll be waiting on your next video. From Central Okla.
Grab yourself a free pallet and screw it to the wall with the gaps facing up. You can slip the handles in to hold them and add screws or hooks along the front slats for hanging smaller hand tools like trowels. I use this method and it works very well😊 and it takes up so little space to boot
I love to organize but hate the cleaning up & chaos! Always amazed at what a weight is lifted when it’s done and a great deal of satisfaction. Wonderful job 💚👏👍
Yooooooo Sam!!!!! Great job on mounting the bench!!! Respect to the boys for jumping in to help when asked!!! Just finished watching 4 videos on a mini binge marathon!!! Didn't want to get redundant on commenting & putting you guys into a spot of feeling obligated to reply to each one... Hoping all is well guys, Dirty Jersey out!!!
I drove a 2 foot piece of rebar 1 foot deep at the ends of my sliding door, and cut two pieces of plastic pipe to go over the rebar for the sliding barn door on my out building.
You had a full day getting the potting bench in place after cleaning out the greenhouse. I like a nice organized place but I don't always do the work involved to accomplish that. I'm glad you got yours done.
Your whole property is looking awesome! For only being there for a year you all especially the boys have been busy getting to where you are now. God’s Blessings to all can’t wait to see what happens next 😎
Always good to see you and the boys. How fast time has gone by since I started watching your channel. You guys have come a long way and accomplished so much. thanks for sharing your journey, it makes my day. The old lady in Maine
Awe man, I mean, awe (young, strong and good looking) boys, saved Sam in the nick of time. Love your family and channel. Your go fast videos are so much fun.
Hope you all are ok and were not in the path of any of those tornadoes in the Midwest and Eastern US over the weekend. We don't usually get tornadoes out here in Oregon except small category 0 if so. You and Angela might consider making some sort of tornado safe building above ground or possibly underground as mobile homes are not the safest place to be during these horrific events. I've lived in St. Louis and the Kansas City area where there were tornadoes close by and I'm happy to be in an area that doesn't experience these events now. Take care and stay safe!
I live in Central Okla. And a below ground tornado shelter would really make for a better peace of mind. Maybe even a shelf or two to store some emergency items that's water proof. Wish I could build one.
In 2021 while I was browsing through reviews on the Earthquake Tiller I found your review and subscribed to your channel, and I purchased the tiller. I absolutely adore my Earthquake Pioneer model 31285. I also got the Hoss double wheel hoe in 2021, I am very fond of that tool too. I was 71 years old last February; have a 1 acre homestead I purchased in 2021 after selling my longtime homestead to commercial developers. I'm developing my little 1 acre homestead into a Farm Market Plant Nursery all by myself. I couldn't do all that I do without those tools. I am glad to see you guys still have both of yours. Happy gardening!
Sending prayers from South Dakota to you as I sat here watching the tornado warnings in your area, hope you and your home is safe. Time 2:45 AM Saturday.
The whole time you were struggling I am telling you to let the boys help you. Let the boys help you. And then you did. Nice job. Love your family content.
Looking great you guys! Boy have you all come a long way since I first started watching you. The things you have done and accomplished are amazing and living in another state with your own homestead! WOW.......who would have thought! Kudos on all you have accomplished and continue to do. All is looking amazing and I know how wonderful it must feel! The home inside is done and now the Homestead is looking fabulous along with the soap shed and your shop, tracktor, truck and garden house now. You have been busy with your hands full as we have enjoyed watching the boys grow and learn as you teach them while you work. Can't believe how big they are. They are good boys, so enduring to watch them assist........time flies and they grow too fast. Blessings and have a great planting weekend I hope!!!!! 🙂
Very heartening! It's 8 a.m. here and I am looking our my window at furiously falling snow with wind. It may be spring, but, in northern Ontario we must be patient. We're gathering our seed packets and watch gardening videos (Thank you!) and wish longingly for warmer days. Makes me happy to see you working in the greenhouse. Take care!
so awesome Sam, you did a great job inside the greenhouse, I like the look of it. I am hoping to be able to get a green house in my backyard, it will be a small one but that is what I want to start seedlings, and keep some plants in there during the winter. I have close to 200 house plants, so I do have somewhat of a green thumb. So glad that your boys could help you get that shelf up, I was thinking that you needed a second set of hands to help lift and hold it up while installing it. Thanks so much for another great video that was a lot of fun to watch, I am wishing you a blessed and wonderful weekend, sending love and hugs, bye! 😉🤗👏🙌🙏💜💜💜💜
Here in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan we are under another winter storm warning. Freezing rain as I write this now. But lots of ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️ is coming too. I'm so ready for SUMMER!! WE HAVE TWO SEASONS HERE. SWATTING AND SHOVELING, I AM SO OVER THE SHOVELING SEASON!!!!;
Those are garden spider egg sacks, which are very benificial bug catchers. Don't move them too far away. Harmless to you, but good at catching grass hoppers and other big pests.
Great video! As we scanned the green house, I didn't see y'all's trees you planted last year. Would love to see any progress they are making, ... if they made it. Y'all have such green thumbs, I can't imagine them not. Have a blessed weekend!
It looks like the labels on some of the chemical containers are starting to come loose and/or fading out. I like to take a sharpie and write on the container itself what is in it and how to mix it. Saves guessing and maybe making a mistake down the road.
Is there anything more satisfying than a speed up video of someone cleaning? When your camera first panned over the greenhouse I said Oh wow…now I say awesome.!
Before building my workshop, and then buying our storage building I priced them. You couldn't get one delivered for cheaper than buying a pre-built shed.
Your homestead has really developed into a great and useful place. Now I can’t wait to see food growing and fruit trees fruiting. Are you planning on getting some chickens, for the fresh eggs. It’s such a good life for the boys to grow up with. I love watching your channel even though I am now retired and sold my farm. I love seeing others enjoying the same lifestyle. 😊
Here in Raleigh NC, the dang voles have invaded our yard. It's like waking on sponge cake. We are also doing raised beds and will be putting the hardware cloth on the bottom of the beds
I will add water catchment of some kind in the future I think, but not inside the greenhouse. We're not crammed on space at our new property vs. our old one, so we can spread out. :) The sink will return too -- that was just too handy! It's here still, just in our "homestead repurpose area". LOL
@@sam-and-angela lol! I have one of those areas too! Never know when you can repurpose something FOUR TIMES! 😂 That's great!! 3 is the most i've gotten out of a pallet!! You, Angela and the boys rock!!
Nice work. Hope I'm as successful with my basement Reno. Giving stuff away, and selling on marketplace... It helps . Then throwing out the rest now that's the hard part especially if it's still good.
Take 3old pallets put them up on there sides and use them for legs under potting bench no charge👍they would be great supports plus places to put small things on hooks
Finally got to watch the rest of the video of Your reorganizing of the Greenhouse. Don't know if it was weather that caused issues or what ?? Turned out Looking Super...God Bless You ALL..
Yay for gettingrdid! Remember what I told you, about three years ago, wet your soil before you put it in your seed trays. It's so much easier than trying to wet the soil after you have put your seeds in it. What did you decide to do about shade cloth for the roof? Say hi to Angela and the boys!👋 ☮️💖🙏🇺🇲🇮🇱✝️🤜✌️

The outdoor sink will get re-built this season. We brought over all the barrels from our old water system and will set it up again, just in a different fashion. That may be more of a summer time project. We've got to get on the ball to finish our garden bed builds and start planting! :)
I noticed that you had some roofing metal left over. I wonder if it would help on the bottom part of the greenhouse where it is open? We used some (actually half way up) on our potting greenhouse and I still like it. Actually, because it is so high on the wall, I can hide bins of soil and manure under the potting bench. The only thing I might change, if it were worth it, is to add a piece of 2x behind the table legs, to go under the framework of the top. In the future, if you were building a new bench, you could consider using hardware cloth for the top, and maybe even a low shelf under. I can think of a million ways to get fancy :) I want to thank you for the recommendation for the mesh plastic film that was detailed in your original greenhouse build. We finally got the "skin" on our farm hoophouse last year. I used more leftover tin on the bottom 4' on the north side, regular plastic over the hoops, and the mesh on the ends and the bottom 4' of the south side. We have livestock and I wanted to "beef'in" it up a bit. This winter we kept our roosters in there (not actually loose though) and there was no damage. We had built up the hoops the additional amount in order to use the mesh and the tin. This will be our first summer of use, at long last. Anyway, I never would have known that there was a mesh plastic without your video.
oh good grief. I listened to the last minutes of the video and you were talking about what I was thinking about (the plastic and the metal - though I didn't know about the new pieces from the raised beds at that point). I should know better than to comment before the video is finished. haha. I do get excited about gardening and greenhouse videos!
I had to yell a time or two and coax them from their woods playground to help me. LOL But yes, they were so helpful! We will have an orchard update video very soon. Waiting just a few days longer to make sure we know how many died. Spoiler: lots. :-\
Nice job on getting the greenhouse ready. You've got me itching to get outside. If only it would stop raining! I didn't see your link for the hardware cloth. Did I miss it somehow? I'm converting from containers to raised beds and have been thinking about what to do about the burrowing critters.

Those egg sacks would end up under my boot if it was My green house. That way they can't come back
Grab yourself a free pallet and screw it to the wall with the gaps facing up. You can slip the handles in to hold them and add screws or hooks along the front slats for hanging smaller hand tools like trowels. I use this method and it works very well😊 and it takes up so little space to boot
You need to put old branches in the bottom of the raised beds to help with drainage. it also keeps you from needing so much soil.
Can confirm. I did this on mine and have had the best gardens the last few seasons.
If you wait, they will likely let you know what their plans are, what the reasons are behind their choices.
I love to organize but hate the cleaning up & chaos! Always amazed at what a weight is lifted when it’s done and a great deal of satisfaction. Wonderful job 💚👏👍
