RM002 Opel/Vauxhall Astra H Mk5 Rocker Cover Gasket Replacement Z16XER - Routine Maintenance

The 2nd episode in the Routine Maintenance series focuses on a very easy to do at home replacement of the rocker cover gasket on a 1.6 Z16XER Astra H. There's no rocket science needed and the lack of techniques needed can be employed across many makes, models and engines. Its not a labour intensive job and should take no more than 30mins. As with everything; take time to assess what you need to remove before you start. Don't rush and just go slowly and methodically. You'll save yourself £40-60 for the hour labour garages will charge you!!

Torque Nm?

Officially its 8Nm but its ok to just do it hand tight with a ratchet (in opposite/diagonal pattern) then 1/4 turn on each.
