I can't believe this is $40 + $15--PER faction. I mean to their credit at least the base game has 'nids. I can at least consider a game where I get to play as/against Tyranids (or Dark Eldar, or Necrons, and/or Chaos). But they really should have had like 4 different factions including Tyranids, Chaos, Space Marines, something else idk Eldar or Necron. If they did I'd have bought this game in a heartbeat. But sad thing is, it is SO unpolished, so indie tier, that lacking both that polish AND lacking the factions, I have to pass like with Daemongate (for different reasons.) It'll take me $30 just to get Tau and Necrons, basically it's $70 for the unpolished game but at least it'll be finished. Imagine if Blizzard charged$15 to get Protoss campaign and faction. That's where we're at now. This is why Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 was a no brainer for me and I bought their DLC, like I gaf if they give me Chaos campaign I already had the completed game. But way too much GW bullshit is exactly like this, and I'm not paying into a Paradox model.
I love the fact that they keep adding factions. There are still many things they could add like Eldar, Adeptus Mechanicus and Imperial Guard. Since the Xenoes had a lot of love maybe it's time to come back to the imperium.
Pacing out humans to have Adeptus Mechanicus, Sororitas, and Imperial Guard as separate factions from Space Marines is ultimately a scummy practice to scam childless men out of superfluous cash.
@@Kraykz Yeah fr they have the gall to charge $15 for a single race, that should've been in the base game honestly, for an unpolished af game that looks like any typical indie shovelware, that doesn't even have a campaign? I mean really??
The battles play great and I enjoyed main campaign very much, but the Planetary Supremacy mode is too shallow for me and MP (including vs AI) just isn't my thing. They present us with all those factions, but there simply is no place for them to spread their wings. I'd love for them to polish Single Player experience more.
I wish they did a similar campaign to DoW:Soulstorm: Split the campaign map to regions, and put army icons on the map. Create choke points on campaign map, resources( as if in per turn ) that allow extra adding garrison units, bind elite units to regions, maybe even create a special objective map for the faction HQ( as if in, let space marines use drop pods with marines every other turn or give Tau an orbital cannon to deliver powerful shot every now and then. Maybe come up with a "assassination" mission or siege( like killing Tyranid synapse units or defending the gene seed for Angels ).
@@lupuskonig9 I mean, the game looked good, but none of my main armies was in the game, Tau and Eldar, so mi interest was more like "when they release them" Gladious or Soulstorm were better for the 40k games for me
I don't have battlesector, but I'm a bit surprised there aren't any auxiliaries or more traditional vehicles like the Devilfish or Sky Ray. but like you said, those'll probably be added later.
Sky Ray could be cool. I guess it's represented by the Seeker Missile strike command ability though. The absence of Kroot is weird, but understandable. They are about to get a makeover in 40k proper, so waiting 'til that's done only makes sense. Shaper (3+ subtypes know! Trail Shaper, War Shaper and Flesh Shaper), Carnivores, Hounds and Krootox Rampagers (Shock cav for the T'au!!!) seem like they'd over plenty of new tactical roles for Battlesector. The Kroot almost enough for a faction of their own though (in 7th edition 40k they'd certainly be a mini-dex). In addition to the above there are at least Farstalker Kinbands (basically elite Carnivores with an offering of diverse special weapons, both Kroot and minor Xenos in origin), regular Krootoxes (with the big Kroot Rifle) and an as of yet unrevealed typ of cavalry or cavalry character. That's almost a full Battlesector Roster (particularly compared to Damons of Khorne).
Also missing every other Space marine Chapter other than Blood angels, Wish they added more and more units or even mod support If they add mod support this game has the potential to be the real tabletop equivalent with all the units and things that could be done
@@Nhouyengah Bro, Marine fans always do this. Your favorite color of Marines isn't in the game, but we don't have ANY Eldar and just got Tau. Green/Blue?white whatever Marines can wait.
Controversial opinion: I'm not a big fan of the larger battlesuits (Broadside/Ghostkeel and upwards). The up to enforcer sized ones are pretty cool and have sort of tactical role of their own (enhanced infarntry basically, further helped by warriors not using special weapons on table top), but the larger ones are just walkers/vehicle like imho. Broadsides are kinda cool but I wish they were downscaled a bit (the old one was ugly though).
looking quite good, would kind of hope for devilfish since its such an integral part of tau warfare in lore. Kroot/Vespid would obvouisly also be nice, but with devilfish it would already be the core covered
I wish they would make a mod that removes idle animations and adds bases to the miniatures to make this feel a lot more like the tabletop game. Such an easy upgrade to make.
It's just missing so much to be honest. I think it needed way more work this just feels like yet another GW game cashgrab to me, which is sad because I'd otherwise be into this it's just they've parted out the full game into so many tiny overpriced pieces, even $10 wouldn't be so outrageous but this is nuts not doing it. I'm not going to tolerate the way Paradox does stuff, either make the basegame complete and polished, or add whole campaigns and new units for everyone into the DLCs fi you add one faction a time.
People shouldn't be supporting this blatant greed. Base game is $40 and includes just two factions -- Blood Angels and Tyranids, then its $60 for the other five (or $15 for one you like) and still only Blood Angels get a single player campaign. 15 years ago, they would have released this game with four factions each with their own unique campaigns and then added two more with new story campaigns featuring them in an expansion pack for $20. Why should companies keep putting in the bare minimum fucking effort and then expect people to pay through the nose to complete their games? This would only be forgivable if the factions were free so they could entice people to buy the game. People have to start demanding more of game developers.
Lol u like the blu vag faces. My first time seeing battle sector, looks interesting, I will be adding this to my "maybe" list. Also the dude on the flying disk made me think of something. I thought about getting it, but it feel like the content from the race packages should be in the game to begin with. At least 6 of them, as a costumer this looks very bad.
