This is so beautiful! 😮Thank you! My favorite Christmas songs are old French Carols - but most recently I have come to absolutely love “Personent Hodie” and “Drive the Cold Winter Away,” performed by Green Matthews.
Saher, thank you for showing the origin of this piece Interestingly our choir is singing this the 24th Christmas eve morning, modern notation in English , It is beautiful . Since you asked, Two other favorites of mine are Michael Praetoria's " Es ist ein Ros entsprugen " Lo How a Rose E'er Blooming (1609) and The Coventry Carol . Thank You for helping me warm up by allowing me to sing with you on this .
A very literal translation: Born from the heart of a parent before the beginning of the world known as Alpha and Omega the source itself and the closure of all that is, was and all that will be for ages and ages.
The Latin: Corde natus ex parentis Ante mundi exordium A et O cognominatus ipse fons et clausula Omnium quæ sunt, fuerunt quæque post futura sunt Sæculorum sæculis. Literally translates to: Born from the heart of a parent before the beginning of the world known as Alpha and Omega the source itself and the closure of all that is, was and all that will be for ages and ages.
Thank you for this. I thoroughly enjoyed joining in and learning something new. (Old but new to me ☺️) Wishing you the very best of the season 🌲

The Coventry Carol is a favorite of mine too, provided the arrangement includes the cross-relations. Essential!

Beautiful. Is this Greogorian chant?
Descended from Gregorian chant
It sounds cool but what does it mean?
Can you give us it's meaning
A very literal translation:

YO! Saher! How ya been? You've either NOT posted in a while or I've just not gotten notifications! Hope all is well! :)
Hey Manny, depends on your definition of a while :) Posting 1-2x a month right now. Wishing you a very happy holiday season!
Can you give us the words and meaning?

Sæculorum sæculis.
Literally translates to:
Born from the heart of a parent
before the beginning of the world
