This is the perfect example of *QUANTITY OVER QUALITY* and it's pissing off the viewers. I see it in the comments. I can see it as a viewer and I agree, I don't like. Viewers are constantly complaining about youtube being overloaded with redundant filler garbage. I've been seeing tons of comments saying they miss the old TH-cam when it was more "REAL", "RAW", "AUTHENTIC" and "PERSONAL". They are rejecting this new mass produced filler garbage. I'm gonna have to start making what I like to call "TALKING SHIT VIDEOS". I hate talking shit videos! My goal for 2025 was to start making a ton of tutorials and product reviews that are connected to the tutorials. But if TH-cam is going to be like this then I'm going to have to start making a ton of filler videos just talking about random crap. Pad out my channel with a bunch of garbage videos. Now I know why I see so many channels that are nothing but a person talking with random video game footage playing in the background. Not what I wanted to do but.....
The problem is, it depends on how long it takes to film and edit a video with your content. A talking head video is pretty simple, a howto video where you disassemble engines not so much. For my niche I might be able to pull off 2 videos a week, but they would already be considerably less quality and more rough around the edges. Making 3 a week? Sure, if the week has 20 days no problem. I make one a week and I barely can handle that, because it usually takes 2 to 4 days to film and then I need to edit it. Sure, it doesn't take a whole day to film, but what I'm filming takes time before I can continue. Sometimes it takes 2 weeks before I can continue on one video, so I start filming others in-between. So making 3 videos a week will simply not work because it's not "I'll sit there and spread my wisdom" videos with one camera angle and a few transitions.
I call it “The Bicycle Principle”. The first few pumps of the pedals on a bike? It’s a bit wobbly. Especially when you are learning to ride a bike. But one you get going? It all levels out.
This was very encouraging. Now that I’m in the program I’m psyched to post more optimized videos but knowing that not everyone, in fact only 1 in 6, will do well has me encouraged that if a video doesn’t do great it wasn’t so much me as a numbers game
"Action creates clarity". You hit the bullseye right here Nolan. It's so easy to get caught up in the "research" phase. But like you said, the best research is when you have data from being consistent.
Thanks for this Nolan, needed to hear it. I have 2 channels and my goal is to post 2 videos per week for each. 1 scripted and highly edited video and 1 lower leveraged video with less scripting and editing!
OK, for me it's not manageable to post more often than once a week, but I get the idea that more content gives you more clarity. For a new small channel such as mine (only 4 videos and 12 subscribers), even some features on TH-cam analytics are not available to me. And the data for those that are available is measured in small numbers, so small that they can be considered statistical errors for larger channels. So currently I don't really know what my audience is, what they want and what I need to do. I do what I like and I'm getting myself out there anyway. It's scary, it's frustrating, it's exciting, it's a little bit addicting, but it's much better than wondering what might be, as I've been wondering for the past 12 years. Good luck to anyone out there who's in a similar boat!
THIS is why *I HATE TH-cam.* Because: 1. The types of videos I make cannot be posted every couple days. The stuff I do takes an extremely long time. I am also disabled & cannot physically get videos done at rocket speed. And the stuff I do is always plagued by setbacks & tons of problems and things going wrong. 2. People are complaining about this in the comments. Forcing creators to post new videos constantly is filling the site up with redundant garbage. I've been noticing channels repeating themselves constantly. Even in the comments people are saying stuff like "Didn't you just post this same video last week?" Creators run out of stuff to talk about. Every creator on youtube should ban together & make TH-cam know that forcing us to post new videos before we are ready is a really bad idea.
Hey Nolan, great video! I really appreciate the stripped-back, simple style-delivering value without constant animated graphics is refreshing. I’m curious, what software do you use for screen recording? Also, are you adding the zoom effects in post, or does the software handle them in real time? Thanks!
Very important question ❓ Is a new channel getting more reach then a 6-7years old channel on TH-cam.? Or this is just a myth? Every channel is equally treated by TH-cam??

What I’ve learned is that Barry bonds is even more of a freak than I had thought. That average per home run is insane. Thanks for the great analogy!

Great video! What do you use to screen record with the super smooth mouse cursor movements?
I’ll make a video on it soon!
I second this request!

Along the lines of what Mr beast said, post your first 100 vids and expect nothing

Thanks Eric! Love it
Nolan, I’d love a Shorts v standard video thinking with this. I’m seeing way more success on shorts than the standard videos
Please I want to ask, what app do you use to record your screen? does it come with the zoom in cursor follow feature?
I have been posting once a week and decided last week to do twice a week. I’ll see how it goes in the coming months.
That was great advice! Subscribed! Can you share the program to use where you are sharing your screen while recording yourself talking please?

Hi Nolan, thanks a lot for all these insights.
What tool do you use to record and share your screen please ?
Thanks again !
Great vid brother. I’m glad to see you post. I’m growing as well thanks Brother.
Much appreciated, keep going!
@@nolanmoltjust a quick question what type of camera do you use ?
will it not send the signal to the audience that one is desperate?
Do you feel like I'm desperate? Or just posting more valuable videos?
@ yes but for me it’s just way for consultations leeds so it may send the signal that one doesn’t have clients
1k subs for 40k views ?? that is astronomical mate

Hi Nolan, thank you for the content! how do you record your screen?
That's crazy. I get like views every month. How can I do better?
Good video, but using a steroid using ballplayer as an example just grated me.
