I am for Africans, and I love how Rutendo just ignores the fact that we did not go to Zim in large numbers. We got our independence last and had no time to heal regroup and start building the South African dream for our black people. South Africans are generous at heart and currently we live with a lot of Zims that have a share on the small pie or crumbs falling from the main table, even eating from the effort that our parents died for while working the apartheid system. South Africans stayed home in large numbers to defend and defeat the system. We are currently helping Zims and our Kids are sharing crowded classes with their kinds and I think its time now for them to go rebuild their country and make it work. While on our side… heal, regroup, and try again to resolve our economic issues factoring the delay that we had. We really need to fix our country and be proud for the future left behind.

Rutendo is very arrogant and want us to accept his wayward attitude allowing them here because of what happened in past. Illegal foreigners are committing crimes here. He can’t waywardly force us to allow nonsense.

the best debate I have seen this year on any podcast, Penuel excellent job of voicing how the popular narrative that most black South Africans argue about the Zimbabwean issue, and an excellent job from Rutendo in staying firm on historical facts.
YOU ARE MY HERO RUTENDO. YOU ARE FIGHTING A WAR WHICH NO OTHER EVER DREAMT OF. You are well EDUCATED much better that the majority of schooled african professors in this african land. You are a Prophet my dear Brother. Y are well sent. ORDAINED!!!!!! THANK YOU once again MY DEAREST BROTHER
It was a blessing when Rutendo became woke. He spoke about the days when he did not know better. Unfortunately, the South Africans have become selfcentered, , selfish, historically ignorant, and they will fall victim to anothet form of apartheid, more subtle and pernicious than the first. They better wake up.
Rutendo is telling us the information we need as youth. He does thorough research,he's filled with knowledge and information accompanied by facts.... I'll never regret watching his interviews on this podcast or any. Good job man

Thank you so much Rutendo and Penuel for enriching our perspectives, following you from Goma in DRC where i was born. Do both: make money and share the knowledge, we need to become competent in geopolitics. My wish is that one day, icons from english speaking countries like Rutendo could seat together with icons from french speaking countries like Kemi Seba and have a conversation that will break barriers between Africans and show the similarities of our struggles whether we speak english, french, or portuguese.
I love these 2 guys. As an African American, here in the US, this conversation needs to be had in order to create real wealth in the African American community. Penuel, it's your show, but listen to Rutendo because he knows a lot.
But I'd argue that much of the majority also don't know much about politics because those in charge have ruined this nation, and who keeps them in power? The sensible few are for some reason not getting enough support as those who are clearly just big mouth communists who live in luxury while the people they claim to fight for only continue to experience worsening situations, are the ones getting all the votes. So people seem to be attracted to assholes and liers because they themselves don't actually know how to distinguish wise and educated, from fools, because that in itself requires good education and our education system is in the top 5 for the worst in the world. A quote, those who follow the wise become wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.
I've been listening alot of Dr Umar Ifatunde Johnson,I ve never realised that we have our own Black conscious intellectual here in Southern Africa.Yes,I am a security guard and now I am a revolutionary one,I grow some balls to tell non Africans boss of mine that this is my country and they can not mistreat me in my own forefathers land.

Penuel, this will go down as one of your finest conversations. This is an INSTANT CLASSIC!! This conversation was riveting and captivating. Every second of the 1:38:27 seconds was definitely worth it. South Africans, Zimbabwean, and Africans at large can a lot from Rutendo. Gooooood Lord!! This guy is just encyclopaedic in his knowledge 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
People label truths they like as facts and truths they don't like as propoganda or malinformation. People will ignore the spike in human and drug trafficking caused by illegal immigration as long as it suits their narrative.
South Africans are the last to get "freedom" in Africa and hence we're the last to learn the hard way that we were lied to that school education is key and jobs are a pathway to financial freedom. Now we're seeing the light and acting on this.
Loved the conversation as usual. Regarding Rutando and Zanupf, he became dishonesty and . He can't even go back to Zim. He is strong on criticising the SA government and other sitting ministers back he is failing to do the same for Zimbabwe. Based on his double standards, he is a coward. He is enjoying the freedom in SA he can't even do so in Zimbabwe. What a hypocrite.

Incidentally, is it true that White imperialist systems pay the bills at the AU?!!! 6. Who subsidises other AU institutions? 7. Why do AU summits look like ordinary markets? The number of foreign politicians participating is overwhelming! 8. Does the Council of Europe, ASEAN or other such bodies invite African Politicians/Ambassadors to flood its Summits? Keep up the good work Rutendo.
Only a few ANC exhiles were accommodated in other African countries not half of an entire South Africa went into other African countries. The rest of us stayed in and fought for our country during Apartheid. The freedom fighters who were accommodated also respected the laws of the respective countries, unlike what's happening in SA
You never fought. The people who fought are Namibians, Angolans, Zimbabweans, Mozambicans, etc… They picked up arms. There was no civil w@r by South Africans against the Apartheid regime. People like Nelson Mandela, Walter Sisulu, Oliver Tambo never led an armed liberation struggle against the Afrikaners… All you could do is cry, beg and plead for Apartheid to end

You are enlightening us Rutendo. You guys have become our role models. You are a walking encyclopaedia. Thank you very much for the knowledge you are imparting to us ignorant people🙏🏾
Penuel we love you. Understand your guests are there to speak, teach and defend their opinions and ideas on a free, fair but intellectual platform ( meaning their ideas may be challenged). However we ask you to not be emotional and distractive if what they is based on facts because we are learning about things we didn't know about as well. Unfortunately facts are just facts and we cannot change them because they are unsettling to us. With that being said this is not the MacG GOSSIP show where emotional biases dictate the facts. You are our intellectual on that seat, challenge the concepts and ideas but not in a childlike manner. If it's a fact, whether you care or not, is for you to debate at your friendly spaces. Not on our learning podcast. Despite that this was great debate.
exactly.. im also questioning WHY South African platforms are hiding these facts from us. other Africans did fight and die with us. WHY does it feel like that is being hidden from us ???
Pan Africanists like Rutendo make the mistake of assuming we should all think the same because we look the same. Shared experiences and culture matter more to the common folk
Exactly. We are not all driven by Pan africanist agendas they try to push. These countries have had 60, 40, 20 to find their feet, as soon as a black South African goes through the same process to self-determine, now these people are here trying to eat from the same small table, that is why SAns have an issue. Allow us to eat in our own country.
White solidarity is a powerful force because they focus on their own exclusive similarities rather than differences. Africans, especially the SADC region, have many shared similarities than differences. Are you a boer? African solidarity scares you?
I don't watch this show unless Rutendo is talking. I support him going out and being selfish and making money, he has planted the seed even to me who is into geopolitics. Zimbabwe story definitely needs to be told truthfully not in the mainstream media stance. His knowledge is impeccable. Well done, Brothermen. It is always great listening to both of you. Brother Rutendo, keep on keeping on. I have great respect for you and the depth of your knowledge!!
Rutendo is a very dangerous tool😂. The guy will come at you with a lot of smart facts and ideas just to decorate a very twisted essence of an argument. You will get boggled down on the smart decorations and never notice that he has misled all of you. great wit
Tell me about, just cause he says things are fact, now we should just believe that? Saying crime went down since "foreigners" came here, how? Big lies, biggest drug dealers in South Ah are not even SOUTH AFRICANS.
Penuel... Thank you ever so much for raising the bar and concientising the African especially South African brothers and sisters a sense of Patriotism and objective analysis of their narrative. Thank you brother
Zim did not go to war for SA. That is a false narrative. You realize that Penuel has no facts in front of him to challenge your narrative. Yes, Zimbabwe did support the African National Congress (ANC) in its fight against the apartheid government of South Africa. Zimbabwe provided military training, weapons, and other forms of assistance to ANC guerrilla fighters during the apartheid era. Zimbabwe's involvement included hosting ANC guerrilla camps, providing military training facilities, and offering support to ANC operatives. While Zimbabwe did not directly engage in armed conflict against the apartheid government of South Africa, its support was instrumental in the ANC's struggle against apartheid. Zimbabwe is not the only country that helped black South Africans. The entire world did. In fact the SADC region plus AU were largely ignored when they tried to raise the voice until the global community put pressure on the apartheid government, dropped sanctions on them and then apartheid government yielded. We owe Zimabwe nothing. Our companies are invested in Zim and make that corrupt government millions if they really believe we owe them something.
I like this Rutendo guy intellectual capacity; the way he articulates facts hits me through and through! Penuel, you are doing great Myman as well because you bring people of sound background to debate issues that matters and you also demonstrate great understanding
Thankx for the parting ways Ru..if economic development is focused on all provinces people were not going to migrate from their province to Jhb, they were not going to migrate from their country to Rsa. Rsa needs to if they can help other countries develop and that will improve on their problems Thanks for the great episode Pen
Interesting conversation. Polarizing at the best of times, and I could not agree with lots that was raised. I now have a view that Pan Africanism advocates turning a blind eye to what inept leaders do, and the expectation is that they should be supported just because they are black. Africa is home to not only black people, lest we forget. Interesting conversation none the less. South Africa clearly has a lure to our neighbors can't resist, and yet they feel their countries are better than us, but they would choose to stay here and not go back to their "better" countries.
Ur views on not having Africans as illegals resonates with the views spoken of by the Kenyan president.. this is a topic that needs a bigger discussion.. thank you for keeping it going
It’s just a conversation sharing ideas. If all ideas were dismissed in the way you are then the world will be a worse off. Elon Musk a South African is there in American making America successful. Imagine if Americans had said go back to South African and launch your rockets from there
@africantravellor8126 he is half South African and half Canadian. But what exactly is this Zimbabwean going to launch in South Africa, which will make a difference to South Africans lives other than wanting to hear the sound of his voice. You surely can't compare Elon with this Chatalan from across Limpopo.
Zimbabwe did not send their soldiers to South Africa during the apartheid era. Their contribution was primarily through diplomatic efforts, economic sanctions, and moral support. The focus was on advocating for change and supporting the anti-apartheid movement rather than direct military intervention.

Yea but be careful of Rutendo, if he's so genuine & knowledgeable, why is he not putting forth any effort to radicalize the ZIMBABWEan youth? Must Zimbabweans be content with being perpetual immigrants?
Once again your mental perambulations are like the proverbial donkey following the carrot. You seem to be conflicted between your ancestral culture and the conveniences and prosperity models of Westernized culture. You, by your simple minded reasoning must vote for one or the other. Your categorization is so generalized and common that it affords no unique appropriation of a greater truth
Gayton was on this platform, where he explicitly stated that he does not agree with Rob Hersorv on the independent cape. I'm disappointed with Rutendo for being ignorant on this point, also he is not sharing that all sadec countries have a foreign policy and uses boarders to protect themselves. So he has double standards 🤔

My brother I would encourage you not stop doing what you're doing. I only came across your vids towards the end of last year yet I've learnt a lot from you, thanks to Penuel for identifying the intelligence in you and allow you to share with us. Big up guys
A lot of food for thought here however what rutendo needs to understand is that on any level the average South African owes nothing to a Zimbabwean and visa versa. South africa seems to be the only country in Africa where it's citizens complaints are constantly waterd down. There are multiple Geopolitical reasons as to why even on the lowest levels black people globally should be working together or against each other, let's not conflate the issue by adding emotional sentiments.
Rutendo is a very good intellectual,he keeps quiet and listen to opposing opinions without interrupting but he always uses his time wisely to change the narrative.
@Penuel I believe you should go all out debating this guy; I understand you decide to maintain peace and permit him to push his propaganda but he's misleading the majority through your platform.
Today's convo was really tough and tense, but before I state my two cents of advice I thank you Penuel The Black Pen for always trying your best to bring us fire talks, and I also thank Mr Matinyarare for making time to come share with us the political side of his view as well. But this today I'm going to set the record straight so that going forth in the future conversation between SA and Zimbabwe politics we do not get confused further. From my understanding, South Africa was not liberated by the exiled ANC. And I am deeply saddened when our guest aims at talking especially to the people who make laws other than the ordinary citizen of SA because this country was liberated by ordinary Citizens. Ofcourse, there were parties who went into exile and trained to come back oneday and save SA from colonies but they never came back to fight, and I will be corrected if I'm wrong here. The ordinary Citizens made sure the country was ungovernable till the colonizers went out to seek help from those who were in exile to come back and talk peace with the Citizens of SA. I for one witnessed my uncles got war with no guns or ammunition but using the self known strategy to destabilize the Apartheid regime soldiers. What won SAs liberty was the action of majority. It was the Spirit of amabutho that was always within the memory of our blood that got the regime realizing that their ship was going down no matter how armed they were. It came to a point where the people refused any more to be oppressed in such a manner that was. So when our guest is trying to change the minds of the ANC instead of reaching the people who fought for liberty, I get no more words to offer. But the fact is that this Country 's liberty was fought and won by it's people. That is why we all get disappointed when Zimbabweans run to SA in numbers. They too fought for liberation but went wrong by chasing all white people of Zimbabwe out of the country so that they could keep their Land for themselves. I have never heard of our guest mentioning that point since he has been debating this issue even when he was one on one with Bra Ike Khumalo. That is what brought Zimbabwean sanctions and If I am wrong, I will stand to be corrected.
Even when some will deem Rainbow Nation as a scam, it is a beautiful idea and all Africans adore it and come to SA to have a share of its produce. We are still open to foreign investment and still attract some investors. We just need to learn more about the economy and turn things around to also support the marginalized.
@@KamCoder "We are still open to foreign investment and still attract some investors." Why is that Africans are so damn dependent on foreign investment? Can you people not do for self? WTF?! Stop with this dependency.
It is as the same as wanting people to follow the thought that white people are racist without wanting to learn from their strategies which have been working throughout. South Africa wouldn't have survived if we did what Zimbabwe did to the white community in 1994 or any year after that. Now they have no choice but to come in SA to learn and work for white business. I can say nothing more than what I've said.

Every time you sit-down with Rutendo it's thought provoking thank you gentlemen
the best debate I have seen this year on any podcast, Penuel excellent job of voicing how the popular narrative that most black South Africans argue about the Zimbabwean issue, and an excellent job from Rutendo in staying firm on historical facts.
I really can't wait for the who own South Africa episode
My people matter, ordinary South Africans matter!!
I was looking forward to an episode with Rutendo thanks for bringing him back.
Wow, Rutendo and Pen thank you.
Real food for thought 🔥🔥🔥
Rutendo is telling us the information we need as youth. He does thorough research,he's filled with knowledge and information accompanied by facts.... I'll never regret watching his interviews on this podcast or any. Good job man

Useless information brother. If it were useful, Zimbabwean youth would be radical & fighting zanuPF
@rankz.6474 that's your own xenophobic opinion I won't engage at it, that's how you chose to see and understand it unfortunately so that's your view not mine.
In the beginning they used to think Penuel is politically educated. He has no clue what's "really" going on in politics.
True that
I agree with your comment. I've just tried to raise the same point. This man was always suspect.
Well he isn't incapable of learning. He still has far more sense than most people who vote for the worst parties.
What made you forget that penuel said apartheid was good? Why are you surprised?
Mentally stimulating and inspiring conversations

Good job Penn for exposing the flawed narrative by your Guest. Great conversation
Which flaws! Care to elucidate

It's always exciting when Rutendo is in the building.🙌🏾
Well im glad u brought Rutendo back and he really broadens my horizen
Rutendo's views come from facts and that's so inspiring. We really can't solve our problems without knowledge.
Facts are subjective.
People label truths they like as facts and truths they don't like as propoganda or malinformation. People will ignore the spike in human and drug trafficking caused by illegal immigration as long as it suits their narrative.
"Crime actually went down since foreigners came to south Africa" a blatant lie
how sure are you? have you fact check all that he is saying?
No he does not but does place intelligent articulated views. Just because something is said nicely does not mean it’s fact and true.
this show really made me see things in both ways ...... showing love from ZIM
South Africans are the last to get "freedom" in Africa and hence we're the last to learn the hard way that we were lied to that school education is key and jobs are a pathway to financial freedom. Now we're seeing the light and acting on this.
Great chat, Pen, once more thanks for pushing back and balancing the narrative. Keep up the good work 🙌
Loved the conversation as usual.
Yes he is a big hypocrite why is he avoiding the corruption issue there is evidence of gold being caught at the airport. And i think he is singing the sunction issue so that he can gain a fever from Zanu pf,he is behaving more like Jonathan Moyo.
But Rutando has been objective about SA
@@sibonelotshonga9310 Yes he has and l love him for that. You are our intellectual on that seat, challenge the concepts and ideas but not in a childlike manner. If it's a fact, whether you care or not, is for you to debate at your friendly spaces.
@@Makhwekhwetha they actually did brother
Absolute nonsense! ZAPU and ANC fought in the same trenches against RF and RSA forces.
Alright then what role, if any did the Namibians play in the fight against Apartheid South Africa?

Interesting conversation. Polarizing at the best of times, and I could not agree with lots that was raised. I now have a view that Pan Africanism advocates turning a blind eye to what inept leaders do, and the expectation is that they should be supported just because they are black. Africa is home to not only black people, lest we forget. Interesting conversation none the less. South Africa clearly has a lure to our neighbors can't resist, and yet they feel their countries are better than us, but they would choose to stay here and not go back to their "better" countries.

Zimbabwe did not send their soldiers to South Africa during the apartheid era. Their contribution was primarily through diplomatic efforts, economic sanctions, and moral support. The focus was on advocating for change and supporting the anti-apartheid movement rather than direct military intervention.

That is what brought Zimbabwean sanctions and
If I am wrong, I will stand to be corrected.
