    Whistling might be the smog pump system. I believe that’s normal. I could be wrong. Nice going to town rig

    Beautiful C4 94-96 timeless design what’s that epic color called?? Awesome GS flares too

    Where did you get the flares for that C4 Corvette I've been looking for a set the only thing I have found is Grand Sport ones and they want a fortune for those

      I don't know where the owner got those. they are very tastefully done. I can ask if you want me to.

    Stunning Vette!! Did you ever consider lowering it 1 to 2 inches, it would look killer.

      Thanks. My customer Richard is the owner. Clean paint and body.

    I bet that whistling is the BBK tb, they are notorious for that.

      There is another car in the shop...the Zupka 1995 impala SS...and it is whistling too. His is a BBK. This TB on the Corvette is TPIS. It's a tiny little turbo. hahah.

    Absolutely love all your videos. Did you perform a dyno with this Torque head conversion? Is it worth the two grand in your opinion?

    • @EllweinEngines
      @EllweinEngines  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's worth the $2K in my opinion for the hot rodding fun. But it won't make more power than a well tuned LT1 PCM car.

      @@EllweinEngines I'll probably be shipping my LT1 out to you later this year. I love your work.

    Oh that's interesting I always thought the c4 had a t56 but I guess that was the c5 and not the c4

      89-96 manual C4's have the ZF6. As do the 90-95 ZR-1's, but with a longer input shaft. The ZF6 doesn't have the same support and parts availability as a T56. But in my opinion, shifts and feels way more precise. The ZF6 I'd wayyy stronger than a T56, that is a fact.

    I am in the middle of a torquhead swap on my 94 do you have a detailed video showing the harness wiring involved.

    • @EllweinEngines
      @EllweinEngines  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. Did not get footage of the harness for the Vette. One thing (tip) I can pass on though. it is easier to plug in the cam and crank sensor plugs with the water pump removed. So don't put the water pump back on until you plug in the wiring. The Vette, (as you know) is tight in that area. The rest of the TH harness is almost plug-n-play.

      @@EllweinEngines I already got the cam and crank sensor wired which is a cake walk with the engine out I was just wondering what else is involved in the engine bay

    • @EllweinEngines
      @EllweinEngines  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@C4Gixxer Nothing much at all. Just lay the coil harness in and plug up. i think terminating the spark plug wires is the most time consuming.

      What clutch do you recommend to use when the time comes to replace it

      Beautiful vette !
      Love the colour and the added fender flares 👌
      I have a 1996 LT1 myself.
      Completely stock. Runs great.
      I wanted to remove stock air filter and add a P flow air intake.
      Do you recommend it ?
      Thanks

    If you hear like a gear rattle in Nuetral, that is normal. Especially with a single mass flywheel. Stock, they use a dual mass flywheel to quiet the trans. Even then, you still hear a whirring sound in nuetral when they are stock trans wise. Loving the C4 series! I own a 96 lt4 and 92 zr-1. Wouldn't be surprised if I have you build up my LT4 in the future😎

    • @EllweinEngines
      @EllweinEngines  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I video taped the car today in neutral and idle and I drove it around a bit. It is really quite nice. Yes there is trans gear rattle but as you mentioned...it's due to the single mass flywheel.

    Does the clutch engage at top or bottom ?
