i actually like both the verses and the chorus. the imposing tone is great for the villainy but the upbeat chorus kinda suits tamatoa’s personality. it makes him sound fun but a deadly serious threat at the same time
I mean he was literally bragging about himself the entire time save for when he went after Maui directly. Right before he starts in he straight up says "Are you just trying to get me to talk about myself? Because if you are.... I will gladly do so! In song form!"
