What a FANTASTIC interview. Certainly one of the best I've ever seen. It's too bad Katie Couric's current TH-cam Channel is not of this quality. I have always been keenly aware of Katie's talent, having worked with her on a few occasions. I immediately fell in like with her. I recognize the voice, but who is the interviewer? She did an excellent job. I'm surprised I'm only seeing this for the first time now.
I love Katie. She, for me, in the thirty years that she has been bringing me news from far-flung places, has always been the PERFECT blend of humility, dignity, credibility and truth, honesty, accessibility, and charm, elegance, and grace. Many kudos. 🏆

Katie is so different from other reporters in TV. She is still fresh faced, great personality, sharp as anyone and has a relaxing way of relaying information and interviewing guests.
I was watching the Today Show on 9/11 as I was getting ready for work. I was running late. I had an hour commute to work. My colleagues had no clue what was going on. I’m emailed my boss asking her about what was happening and whether I should stay home and she said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. We have a lot to do today. You need to come in.” I drove in thinking bombs might fall from the sky (I was in the Boston are). But Katie’s coverage gave me the calmness I needed to go in. Because she didn’t panic, I felt safer. She is truly a national treasure.
