honestly, you should make this a modpack people can download. I'm actually having such a hard time getting these mods working together and it's an absolute pain 😭😭 Thank you for the recommended mods and the shader settings tho!
It's pretty easy if you get fabric installed. You just need to be very careful to download mods for the same version of fabric/Minecraft as each other. If they don't align you will have issues.
Would recommend getting Prism Launcher. It handles all of that and I’m all new to modding as well and it sure helped figuring out what works with what :D
Also, Lithium, ImmediatelyFast, MoreCulling and Entity culling are nice mods to have. The 2nd massively increases chunk generation. Noisium also mentions C2ME which also helps, but I do not recommend using it. It messes with Distant Horizons leaving it unable to render water in the LOD chunks.
You started off by allocating 10 GB of RAM to the game, but it is good to note that for Java software it is important not to allocate too much, as it will cause issues with the garbage collection and can cause lag symptoms.
Wonderful collection, Shera! Thank you for going into the config of mods. Most showcases just cover what they do. This is great info and love that you are willing to share your configs! I'm running several quality of life mods but found a few here that I'm going to try. Thank you! I've found that my enjoyment for the Spyglass makes Distant Horizons rendering a bit off-putting. Fortunately, with Sodium, Indium, and Noisium I'm getting 52 chunk render distance! I use the Modrinth loader and it makes building packs pretty easy. I recommend looking into trying something like it. There are several ones out there. Modrinth, Forge, Neoforge...

something that works with etm and the other one is a resource pack called fresh moves, which gives players fresh animation visuals and even customizable eyes
I really like using Minecraft Reimagined with Fresh Animations, it adds extra depth to all the animals like snouts and moving tails and I just find it to be lovely
btw idk if you noticed but your player walk animation changed because of not enough animations, if you want that reverted to default its called smoothed animation or somethinng in the config there are also some fun options in there you should check out

Notes: 10GB of RAM is unnecessary Indium is not a performance mod and is now not needed with Sodium 0.6 which has FRAPI support It's much easier to import .txt files into shaders in the shader settings menu in-game Keep in mind that 3D texture packs are not performant

Thanks for a few mods/rsspacks i want to instal. I have already majority of them. BTW i recomend you to instal many more optimization mods like FerriteCore which reduce ur RAM usage by 40%+- or Nvidium for huge permormance boost for NVIDIA card users. But idk if it works with Distant Horizon. Maybe just with Bobby. Ofc there is a lot quality of life mods which looks like vanilla and are really useful.
I think it's mostly a Microsoft issue. Mojang has added some really good additions in recent years, but Microsoft forces them to develop at a snails pace cause they are scared of ruining their most valuable asset.
WoW! these mods and visuals are really good. Sad thing is my specs aren't that good so I cant use shaders and distanthorizon mod. But tnx for the tutorial. I'll try these mods together once I have a great pc.
For everyone trying to recreate this i cannot recommend the Prism Launcher enough. It makes managing and downloading mods so simple! It also comes with the benefit of not messing up your other Minecraft instances and settings.
@@CrystalClear51 there are skins for it and you just cant beat the functionality of it. The normal Launcher is just plain bad in comparison… but in the end everyone has to decide for themselves.
You forgot fresh moves and expressions of it for your character, its a neat thing when you do videos, and also you fit with the fresh animations stuff 😂
@@SheraNom Fresh moves is also a resource pack too, so it should work without much issues, (or "Just Expressions" is too if you only want facial expressions) and you already got EMF and ETF so as long as they are updated the rest is up to what you create for your avatar, Watching people who have it on an play is both amazing and hilarious,
I don't know if your pc could explode if you add more mods, but it would be cool if you add more animals and more vegetation like downed trees, mushrooms in the trees and that things to do it more immersive
Those are so cool, ngl I’m not sure if my pc wouldn’t explode, it was already struggling at times. I would love to add even more things , but many texture packs and mods aren’t update and don’t work 😭

Guys, i cant stress enough to do the mod setup in the prism launcher (or another one which supports direct mod imports). if you have the option, definitly go for it. it makes it so much easier to set up all the mods mentioned in this video
More RAM doesn’t always necessarily mean more performance. It can actually decrease it if too much. You don’t need 10GB of RAM to run vanilla Minecraft, you should use between 4 to 6 GB.
I do agree that you definitely don’t need that much ram to run Vanilla Minecraft, but this setup uses about 20 mods + shaders, and from my personal experience it helps, but it might be different on different pc builds.
Allocating too much RAM can introduce its own lag and performance issues due to Java's garbage collection process. I would advice against using that much RAM as with the setup on this video, even though you are allocating 10GB of RAM, it wont be used. You should experiment changing from 10GB to 6GB. But it shouldn't be a big deal if you use 10GB anyways. I hope this information is helpful in some way :)
The mod versions listed in the comments for Xali's Enhanced Vanilla, Xali's Bushy Leaves, and Crops 3D are listed as incompatible with Minecraft 1.21 when activating them in the Resource Packs menu.
@@SheraNom Weird. I have them activated in 1.21 and they aren't working. Every other mod in your list works fine and they are all installed correctly. They just don't work.
@@OptimusGPrime you should make sure that xalis enchanced vanilla is on top of your list of texure packs and that you have continuity installed. I know for a fact that it works, as this video is filmed in 1.21.
@@SheraNom Changing the load order worked. You should add that as an issue. Also, with your shader text file settings given, all my entity shadows are red. I have no other mods other than the ones listed. This was a fresh install using your guide. Looks really weird especially at night when it's more noticeable.
@@OptimusGPrime this setup was tested on different machines, so it must be someting to do with your graphic drivers, graphic card, monitor or something else.
Personally, some RP and mods that you consider that are Vanilla friendly but not that Vanilla are Animated Items and Astralyte's animated items Mace 3d (must have) Zoomify (not soo vanilla) justmobheads and armor poser (not so vanilla) Animated ores Colorful Containers Dark Mode (must have) Eco Attire (not so vanilla) Totally personal preference, no hate, I loved the flow of your videos. Just a recommendation to include these too

It's pretty easy if you get fabric installed. You just need to be very careful to download mods for the same version of fabric/Minecraft as each other. If they don't align you will have issues.
Um, where to put the Indium and Noisiun?
Would recommend getting Prism Launcher. It handles all of that and I’m all new to modding as well and it sure helped figuring out what works with what :D

Also, Lithium, ImmediatelyFast, MoreCulling and Entity culling are nice mods to have. The 2nd massively increases chunk generation. Noisium also mentions C2ME which also helps, but I do not recommend using it. It messes with Distant Horizons leaving it unable to render water in the LOD chunks.
You started off by allocating 10 GB of RAM to the game, but it is good to note that for Java software it is important not to allocate too much, as it will cause issues with the garbage collection and can cause lag symptoms.
Is there a way to know if it's too much?

I've found that my enjoyment for the Spyglass makes Distant Horizons rendering a bit off-putting. Fortunately, with Sodium, Indium, and Noisium I'm getting 52 chunk render distance! I use the Modrinth loader and it makes building packs pretty easy. I recommend looking into trying something like it. There are several ones out there. Modrinth, Forge, Neoforge...

btw idk if you noticed but your player walk animation changed because of not enough animations, if you want that reverted to default its called smoothed animation or somethinng in the config there are also some fun options in there you should check out

10GB of RAM is unnecessary
Indium is not a performance mod and is now not needed with Sodium 0.6 which has FRAPI support
It's much easier to import .txt files into shaders in the shader settings menu in-game
Keep in mind that 3D texture packs are not performant

Thanks for a few mods/rsspacks i want to instal. I have already majority of them.
BTW i recomend you to instal many more optimization mods like FerriteCore which reduce ur RAM usage by 40%+- or Nvidium for huge permormance boost for NVIDIA card users. But idk if it works with Distant Horizon. Maybe just with Bobby.
Ofc there is a lot quality of life mods which looks like vanilla and are really useful.

I think it's mostly a Microsoft issue. Mojang has added some really good additions in recent years, but Microsoft forces them to develop at a snails pace cause they are scared of ruining their most valuable asset.

For everyone trying to recreate this i cannot recommend the Prism Launcher enough. It makes managing and downloading mods so simple! It also comes with the benefit of not messing up your other Minecraft instances and settings.

@@SheraNom Fresh moves is also a resource pack too, so it should work without much issues, (or "Just Expressions" is too if you only want facial expressions)

Guys, i cant stress enough to do the mod setup in the prism launcher (or another one which supports direct mod imports). if you have the option, definitly go for it. it makes it so much easier to set up all the mods mentioned in this video

Prism Launcher is sooo good. Makes it really easy to install mods and stuff while keeping multiple versions of the game.

More RAM doesn’t always necessarily mean more performance. It can actually decrease it if too much. You don’t need 10GB of RAM to run vanilla Minecraft, you should use between 4 to 6 GB.
I do agree that you definitely don’t need that much ram to run Vanilla Minecraft, but this setup uses about 20 mods + shaders, and from my personal experience it helps, but it might be different on different pc builds.
Allocating too much RAM can introduce its own lag and performance issues due to Java's garbage collection process. I would advice against using that much RAM as with the setup on this video, even though you are allocating 10GB of RAM, it wont be used. You should experiment changing from 10GB to 6GB.
But it shouldn't be a big deal if you use 10GB anyways. I hope this information is helpful in some way :)

The mod versions listed in the comments for Xali's Enhanced Vanilla, Xali's Bushy Leaves, and Crops 3D are listed as incompatible with Minecraft 1.21 when activating them in the Resource Packs menu.
They work absolutely fine as shown in the video, I also left a note in the video, to ignore the warnings.
@@SheraNom Weird. I have them activated in 1.21 and they aren't working. Every other mod in your list works fine and they are all installed correctly. They just don't work.
@@OptimusGPrime you should make sure that xalis enchanced vanilla is on top of your list of texure packs and that you have continuity installed. I know for a fact that it works, as this video is filmed in 1.21.
@@SheraNom Changing the load order worked. You should add that as an issue. Also, with your shader text file settings given, all my entity shadows are red. I have no other mods other than the ones listed. This was a fresh install using your guide. Looks really weird especially at night when it's more noticeable.
